I can usually trap the tricky little kitty about half the time.  It depends upon where those free blocks are placed

you need to begin at the very outside and force it to make its first move.  Then begin to mark every other circle on the outside ring in the direction it moves.  It still depends upon where those preset blocks are, but it can be trapped.

I have been able to increase my success rate to about 60-70% now.  It still depends upon those preplaced dots, but I am able to stay ahead of black kitty.

Impressive!  The only think I've increased is my frustration.

Concentrate on closing off the outside.  The top and the bottom have straight lines so place a dot there first.  The cat will most often move to the side.  Place dots on every other indentation.  This makes the cat have to go around.  Often you are able to stay ahead and block off.  Not always.

I tried this for the first time, yesterday.  I even attempted to follow GO's advise and only came close to trapping the cat one time.

I just had a successful game.  Had trouble with a screen shot, though.

I've caught the little rascal a couple of times, but it fades before I can even begin to think of how to capture the shot!

One success was enough for me...I saw the cat run out and the screen fade too many times.  I'm done for now.

CBB, my successful screen didn't fade out....but the print screen function wasn't cooperating with me earlier.  (notice I blamed the function..haha)

I did it! I will now quit!  and my screen faded, it says at the top it fades both when caught or when it escapes.
