CBB,
Thought I'd come and speak with you here.  I'm sorry for all the confusion around the avatar today.
I appreciate that you spent all that time and I'm sorry if I offended you by being so picky.

Not at all, can! I'm so happy you got one you like! We have a lot of fun around here with avatars, and just wait til a Holiday rolls around. We decorate ourselves!  Take a look in the Monkey Lounge; there's whole threads for Halloween, Easter, Valentine's Day, and Christmas! Klaas puts us all on a Christmas Tree, and I try hard to supply the decorations! I'll have LOTS of opportunity to become real familiar with your candle.

As a matter of fact, when I saw your choice, I thought to myself, hmmmm, I'm going to animate that before long, and won't that look great on the Christmas tree with a wreath or bow around it!

Well, Bless your heart CBB.  Have been reading a long time here and have enjoyed the camaraderie I've seen around the dressed-up avatars.
When a candle was mentioned, it struck a chord, as I light a candle for Natalee every morning and evening.
Thanks again!

Can? I thought I'd animate your candle, and thought I'd add a little glitter, too. Don't use it if you don't like it.........my feelings won't be hurt. I like playing with the avatars!

Yes, you can have it!  I've messaged Klaas to get you fixed up with it, and she'll get to it as soon as she sees the message. I'm glad you like the avatars, and love your choice! I'll delete it from the list so it will be yours alone!

CBB, would you take a look at how this av is posting.  The link at photobucket is in gif format, but it appears to me that perhaps it is reverting to png for some reason.  I have tried reposting the link several times.  Let me know what you see on your side of the screen.  I can remember having a slight problem once before with this very same av.

Not sure what is causing it.   Let me know when you have time.

thanks

I've found in the past that if an animated gif is too wide, it will not work or be animated with uploaded to this site.  Usually it's a size issue.  Try making it smaller.  For animations I try to make them no wider than 115-120.  If you want to test, upload from you desktop in a message your avatar and see if it uploads as a gif and animated.  If it does, I can copy it and resize for you if you want.

Sometimes they work when added from the web (photobucket) and not from your desktop.  I don't know why there would be a difference.

I was wondering about that.  CBB had developed this a couple of years ago and I uploaded it to photobucket.  That is where it resides now.  However, I do know that for some strange reason images to gain in size sometimes.  I will work on it later using Gifworks.

Pink Angel:   Here is the website you can use to resize.   http://www.gifworks.com/

go down to the third paragraph where it says to begin.   let me know if you need help.

thanks  Klaas

I discovered that photobucket now has an editing menu so I used that.

It worked for all of 3 minutes and then quit....   I have gone all the way down to 105 and still haven't figured it out.  Works fine in Photobucket, but not here.
