Hi, folks,

Just got back from Manhattan not too long ago.

Natalee’s voice was heard in NYC!

And everyone we talked to knew exactly who Natalee was
and where the crimes and injustice went down.
(So much for the case fading, right Aruba?).

Natalee’s image was prominently displayed in NYC  via the huge and beautiful, yellow banners you have all seen. We hung the two banners back to back so that
New Yorkers could see Natalee’s face when they were both going to the
travel show and coming out from the lobby.
(Hotshot took a photo from the Javits lobby.)

Because of the wind, it had taken a great deal of teamwork
to get the signs secure.  But it was worth the effort because they were viewed by thousands of New Yorkers.

Many New Yorkers were aware of the latest developments.
They were stunned that there had been no rearrest of Joran.
And some openly expressed their feelings about him.

One comment about Joran from a New York social worker:
“He’s a psychopath; that’s what he is!”

All us of occasionally went into the travel show just to warm up.
During one of my breaks, I passed by the Aruba booth.
A rep for Aruba asked me if I wanted a brochure. I guess she didn’t realize that I
was one of the protesters. I looked directly at her and responded, “When Natalee gets justice!"

The Aruba booth was big but not crowded at all, sometimes practically deserted. Right across the aisle, the Puerto Rico booth was swamped with visitors!

As for giveaways to those going to the show, we had totes (like the ones in Boston), “Boycott Aruba” pens, and flyers available.

We received a little visit from the New York police. They were very nice to us and simply asked to see our written permission. No problem—we had it.
I actually think they sympathized with our cause.
They jokingly expressed concern about the weather and asked if we were wearing
long johns! LOL!

And ROFL It was not a day for the fashion police as we were windswept
and bundled up in about fifteen layers of clothing, with our Natalee sweatshirts
worn over our jackets. But we didn’t care as posed for a group photo.
All that mattered is that we were standing up for Natalee.

You guys Rock!  THAT is dedication to it's core!   Great job!

I wish more than anything to have been able to go, but had personal dilemmas, preventing it from happening.   I even missed visiting with daughter and grandson! Sad

But I am there in spirit and God Bless all Boycotters, from Boston to NY and on to St. Louie and all those before/after that!

Well, just got home after a good day in New York.  Thanks Old Monkeys, New Monkeys, and "lurking wanna be Monkeys".......  You were all awsome today!  It was a nice trip all in all.  Rob Smith wasn't there, as a matter of fact, most of them were NOT there, looks like they switched crews.  Aruba Booth was in the middle of No Where Land.  J4N was good today.  She went nosing around, I'll let her tell you.  She's better at it then I am.  We didn't get lost today, we did the cab thing.  We had a nice Hot Dog man booth to keep warm in too.  We had a snow squall, but the nice thing about that was, they even had a glass covering over our heads, and the cops were nice.  ******* is posting an AHATA man, new one.  try to guess who he is.  I am not playing games, I don't know who he is.  When we got back here and off the train, I found that where I parked locked up for the night, so they told me to go speak with the policeman over there.  So I did.  He made a few calls, and while we were waiting to see what to do, I told him what we were doing in NY.  He told me his Seargent (female) went to aruba to help the family at one point.  I was so impressed that he got a tote bag, and a sweatshirt to bring back to her.  We talked for quite a while about the case, I also sent him to scaredmonkeys.

I hope you caring New York monkeys are thawed out by now and having pleasant dreams.  You did a great job and I am proud to stand with the girl and the NY monkeys, and all the monkeys.

I saw the pictures and thought pinkbanana was a great name and frozenbanana would be a good one too.

Congratulations on a job well done!

Thank you for all your hard work and determination in reminding New Yorkers that after 33 months Natalee is still missing in Aruba.
