Hi Blah, I agree something is going on... but in my opinion - AF2 is a show of force. America does not need Aruba to launch any type of strike or assistance.

One battle group is all that is needed.

This was the content of the press conference...

-Yesterday at 10.30 the Interin Minister Rudy Croes decided that at 2.00 PM there will be a massive search on Aruba.

-They didn't talk about the investigation itself as they have no updates , they are still interogating the two men.

-Rob Smith (an american)chairperson of a foundation talked about how much money they spend to make sure the hotel area is a safe place. And stressed that Aruba is still a safe island- this could have happened anywhere or to anyone including locals. He also stated that he has been living on the island for 8 years now, he also has 2 teenage daughters. He stated that he always felt safe on the island.

-Trudy Hassell:
They are planning a national united effort to try to find Ms. Holloway. They are currently uniting several organisations that want to help, the marine corps, tje national red cross, park rangers, police and civilians. They are going to search systematically. They are asking for anyone who wants to help to come in contact with them. They think thousands of people will be helping with this search, but they have to wait to see how many people will show up. They are not telling where exactly they are going to search. They are meeting at the Sporthall in Sta Cruz. What kind of search? Two groups : one hitting the field together with the marine corps - the other group going house to house with a police officer asking people for information. They are going to be careful not to break any laws. The divers are working this moment at the coast. They have a plan, but don't want to elaborate on it.

-A member of the press also asked about the news that there are disturbing evidence that show that Natalee didn't run away. The question wasn't answered.

-They also talked about the last time a crime (assualt) happened with was against a tourist. Which was in the 90's. The crime was resolved.

-They talked about news anchors being very harsh when they don't know anything about the island. Talking about drugs and prostitution on the island and many things that are just not accurate.

-They talked about the different chatboards that are giving correct information about the island's safety( people who actually-repeatedly- visited the island) They are happy with that.

-The resort section (hotels) are also giving some employees the chance to help with the search.

-They have asked if the news achors have made research about the history of Aruba's tourism. They all gave a flat NO.

-What makes this case worse is that under Dutch Laws a person 18 years or older is considered an adult an therefore they cannot deny someone if they want to buy drinks.

-It hurts the Police that there are so many wrong accusations against them esp. in how they are working on the case. They stress that they have to treat this case differently because of the law. They don't consider Natalee as a minor, but as an adult.

Well this was it....I hope I gave a good summary of the press conference. I was typing and listening to the press conference at the same time trying not to miss a thing. (very hard to do..hehe)

Will keep you posted if I get new information.

GRETA: Booty is enormously…Booty is someone who hangs out on the beach, made a live on the beach. Someone who I have been told has a criminal history. He is there sometimes at night…has access to a boat, is the brother in law of Gerald Dompig.

JOE: And…most importantly, he had a hut on the beach and he showed us where it was that had a direct shot into the room stayed at that night. We were there…the beach that he lived in, I mean literally stayed on this beach out there. What you have to understand this climate permits something like that. That search should actually be credited to Aruba's Public Relation's Agency. It was not Rudy's idea, though he had the good sense to adopt the recom.

I've been following US Foreign policy forever. I have never seen AF 1 or 2 used to retrieve a body. Even the meals on wheels adventures of the Clinton Admin never did anything like that.

I would be surprised if that plane is there because of Natalee. Stranger things have happened, but it's not making sense to me.

I agree but I also doubt Cheney would go to Aruba for a couple 2 or 3 days for any reason

Dear Kyle,

Your efforts to recover Natalee are applauded, but I'm sorry to tell you that there was never a Crab/Fish Trap stolen. There is no indication that Natalee is in a Crab/Fish Trap or her remains could possibly be found off the coast of Aruba. Moss said you are looking for a needle in a haystack.

Feel free to search... But DON'T SAY THAT ARUBA DOESN'T HAVE the capabilities to search for Natalee. 10s of Millions have been spent searching for Natalee. Where was the Persistence when the Dutch was asked for their expertise in your home port Louisiana after Katrina?

Don't compare your misinformed efforts to what the Dutch is more than capable of doing if there were valid indications.

She made a post one time about how traumatizing it would be for a young person to have to handle cold, dead flesh.  I believe Klaas also remembers this.  Lost it in one of my hackings, however, so don't have copy of actual post any more.

Since November last year I am reading about the Natalee Holloway case. One of my colleagues was much longer very interested. She followed everything and told me that she suspected the father of Joran being very deep involved in this case. When this colleague told me this I was more interested in something else.

 In November last year someone started a subject on a Dutch board called: ”Natalee Holloway in the rebound”.  Pictures were shown of Mr. v.d. Sloot, sitting next to Nathalee in the casino the night she disappeared. I remembered the words of my colleague and started to follow the postings. A few weeks later ******* came to post on the board as well. He and Johan 555 brought in a lots information. I was shocked.

Last week some of Joran’s friends and people, obviously being paid by de family of Joran, are posting on the board.  They bring lies and misinformation on behalf of Joran.
A few days ago I bought the Dutch translation of the book of Mrs. Holloway. The book confirms everything a lot of people could guessed already.  Joran and his father must have something to hide.
******* is in the Dutch board being attacked very badly by the friends of Joran and the people paid by family VanderSloot. I stopped reacting  against the ridiculous nonsense. Everybody who is able to think and count knows these are lies.
Today they claim that Mrs. Holloway phoned with Nathalee. This was according to Joran’s friends told by Mrs. Holloway in one of the shows of Dr. Phil.  I saw a few shows, but did not hear Mrs. Holloway tell anything like that. What these people do is slander and revilement.
Well, this goes on and on. There is also a horrible female journalist named Renee Gielen. She tells”I can see in the eyes of Mrs. Holloway that she is lying”. This woman is evil.

By the way: on the Dutch radio is told that Joran went in a psychiatric hospital.
(It is possible that Joran is taken there for psychiatric reasons but it is also possible that he there because his father advised him to do so, so he can try to clame a lot of money).

Anyway,  I let you know what happens in Holland every now and then.

Im really curious about all the things going on in Aruba.. especially about the persistence leaving the waters of Aruba.. was there a official statement as of why they are leaving?? This is a question to all..

The Persistence crew says they ran out of funds to continue the search but have marked all their targets.  Hopes are that enough funds will come in to send another ship better suited to the ROV can be sent back to Aruba and finish looking at those targets.
