El presidente venezolano, Hugo Chávez, ordenó este domingo retirar todo el personal de la Embajada de Venezuela en Bogotá y militarizar la frontera común a donde serán desplazados 10 batallones "con tanques y aviones", después del ataque militar del Ejército colombiano en territorio ecuatoriano contra Raúl Reyes.

The President Chavez order this Sunday that all personal from the Venezuelan Embasy in Bogota to be removed from site and order Military Tanks and Airplanes to fields bordering Colombia.

This after Colombia Military atack in Ecuatorian Terrirory at Raul Reyes.

Now you know why those in the U.S. government that had the ability to make things happen in this case have been fairly silent to this point.  As I have said, and many others as well, bigger fish to fry.  Keep in mind that Colombia contains a natural resource worth millions to some very large companies. It is not just the illegal activities that are important there, but the legal as well.  The word "strategic" is an understatement in the location of both Aruba to Venezuela and Colombia.  In a sense, the U.S. is caught between a rock and a hard place in this situation and it will take time to play out for all parties.

The plane is not AF2. At least not the updated one.

When GHWB was President, there was a documentary about AF1 & AF2. They were completely new planes. Extensive show about the planes.

Look at the front end nose section. On top of the more modern AF1 & 2 there is a distinctive bulge on the top.

The plane posted here that is on Aruba does not have this bulge.

It could be Congressmen on a "fact-finding" junket - spending all those tax dollar$. You know, the ones where they take 120 of their "aides" on a trip.

Could be any of the alphabet groups that are there.

It is interesting about the"post office". An underwater one at that.....

Does the name - Harms ring any bells? It should.

Nobody has been able to view it, however, all of this including that particular movie link was sent to the family back in 2005.  I would suspect the FBI has seen the aru-bay videos and if anyone can access Natalee Movie 3 it's them.

Thanks for bringing back up the trap pics.
My theory is that this trap is 16'x16', it is hugh and has been in the water a very long time. The steel is deteriorating and the trap is open to sea creatures, possibly even sharks. It looks like a body bag weighted down with a round weight the size of a coconut. I know K~ would flame me now.

I know there is also a delegation on the island for Homeland Security, who will be inspecting U.S. Immigration and Customs at the airport. I don't think Dick Cheney is in Aruba for that, he can send people to the island and have them report back to him in the U.S.. Cheney must be in Aruba for something far more important, that will require him to set foot on the island and perhaps talk personally to the government. I am curious as to what.

Well, just got home after a good day in New York.  Thanks Old Monkeys, New Monkeys, and "lurking wanna be Monkeys".......  You were all awsome today!  It was a nice trip all in all.  Rob Smith wasn't there, as a matter of fact, most of them were NOT there, looks like they switched crews.  Aruba Booth was in the middle of No Where Land.  J4N was good today.  She went nosing around, I'll let her tell you.  She's better at it then I am.  We didn't get lost today, we did the cab thing.  We had a nice Hot Dog man booth to keep warm in too.  We had a snow squall, but the nice thing about that was, they even had a glass covering over our heads, and the cops were nice.  ******* is posting an AHATA man, new one.  try to guess who he is.  I am not playing games, I don't know who he is.  When we got back here and off the train, I found that where I parked locked up for the night, so they told me to go speak with the policeman over there.  So I did.  He made a few calls, and while we were waiting to see what to do, I told him what we were doing in NY.  He told me his Seargent (female) went to aruba to help the family at one point.  I was so impressed that he got a tote bag, and a sweatshirt to bring back to her.  We talked for quite a while about the case, I also sent him to scaredmonkeys.    

Seeing as I haven't been around today, has anything new happened?  can someone fill me in on todays news please?

Thanks for the update Hotshot!  I am extremely proud of you and the others who represented Natalee and her family today in New York!  I'm so relieved to know that it went better than Boston!

Just catching up.   I'm VERY proud of ALL our Monkeys and ALL the hardwork put into ALL of the boycotts!  Great job in NY guys!

I find it disheartening anybody would say one was better than another.   They are all just as important and have been successful!

I have to agree, I too now think the reason the Persistence left so quickly is because of the problems with Venezuela and Columbia, and they had to scoot pronto. Prior to reading about this today I truly felt that the Persistence had found Natalee and that's why they decided to leave, to get her out of Aruba's long reaching arms asap, and then home. Now my prayers will be that the Persistence and her crew make it home safely, and with good weather. And prayers for the safe flights of Kyle and the other crew members who are flying home. The Angels are still with all of you. It was God's work you were doing.

I also think the reason the US plane is in Aruba is to see our personnel home safely. God watch over them also.

Mr. Cheney was not on Aruba, only his crew and security. Mr. Cheney went with another private
aircraft to visit Colombia? Air Force 2 left the Island this morning to Colombia. Air Force 2 stayed
on the island fora few days for security reason unknown.

AF2 arrived on Friday night with plans to take a few hour trip south and then return to Aruba to refuel prior to returning to the US.
