I believe it was in Kansas or somewhere some women ended up in barrels in a storage unit or on a farm or somewhere from internet encounters.  But you are an adult, I assume--that word again--and so are of course free to do whatever you want.  I was just wondering why you were chatting with them, what was the purpose.

I read the true life book written about that man.  He was one of the first internet predators to be caught.  Some of the women he killed just upped and moved to where he lived based on their online contact with him.

The Lunsford case really brought out the loonies. I did not hate them as much as John Cooey but close.

They accused every family member of something. One of the things that surprises me at the darkside is one of the posters on there. I think she is the same one who posted on CTV as Likes to chat. When the truth came out about what reallyhappened to that sweet little girl  Likes to Chat apologized for all the things she had said about the Lunsford family. I thought that was big of her. Others did not apologize.

I was involved in a missing persons case in my area. He is still missing. Five years now.His website has a guestbook and people post awful things there. Porn links etc.

Part of the answer may lie in the fact that an estimated 50% of all molests, males and females combined, are never reported.  It is also estimated that only 10% of molested boys ever make such reports.  Approximately 15 percent of these incidents that are reported involve a female perpetrator.  Many of these unreported molestations of boys are suspected to be at the hands of a teacher, educator and/or other person in position of authority.


Could be the reason why we don't see more cases being profiled.

Can't make it to the statistics if it is not reported...

Well, just don't drink that awful mess Carnut described.  I don't often but think I am going to now.  Yes, there are times when it does help.  I was just wondering about you as not once but twice I have detected some uninhibited language that is not like you.  We all have our limits, however.


Tell me, what was done to the Lundsfords as a family that was similar to what was done to Natalee's via the internet?  Just the usual trashing or did they try to deal directly with the public and received hate emails or what happened?  I did not hear about that before today.

Anna - regarding the Lunsfords, just the usual forum stuff.  Just like the refugees but everywhere.  They were at CTV, Websleuths all the forums.  Even in the JML forum.  It was horrible the things they accused the Lunsford family of doing that that little girl.   Then, when she was found people said it was Mark Lunsford's fault because he wasn't home.  Very sick and very sad.  Just like the Refugees, IMO.

I never knew that ! I never used to come on line to check on the Lunsford case. Frankly, I am glad I didn't. The Lunsfords case.. I was watching on NG and kept watching NG and came upon the Holloway disappearance.
 
It was heartbeaking to listen and to watch Mark Lunsford beg for his Jessica's life. Nothing in the media has ever got to me like that, ever.  
I was in the kitchne when they made an announcemnt on CNN that she had been found. I went weak in the knees and almost went down. We talked about it in the family b/c we have a girl who is young. We are all so careful and most parents here are. But when they come in your  house and get them, Jesus !  The girl has a big big doggie who sleeps in her room. The dog very protective of her.

Maybe they could catch them chatting online with MominTN.  MominTN could set a trap for them
