I had one of these and the source was the UK. Last year. I looked it up, probably from the address and it was a well known BOGUS email.

Absolutely! This is just another form of the "Nigerian" scam we have all gotten for years.

Heck, I don't even see red x's.

There's even a red X box just above the Search Amazon on the bottom right of the screen.

There is a problem with avatars and pictures.  The red X above the Search Amazon is where Red and Tom had a picture of the Viking Ship, remember?

It appears that some Avatars are appearing for a bit and then disappearing. (MoninTN & justinsmama were just here)  or I'm in the twilight zone this morning

Oldfart - probably depends upon what browser you are using.  I'm using Firefox and don't see any at all, nor do I see the red X.

I wonder if when an avatar is briefly seen, it is when that poster's post is initially posted?

I thought of a couple of things last night after I logged off.
Poor Benson who died locked up in a container and his pretty blond wife left behind.
And also Joran's 13 yr old girlfriend.  What is the chance that any 17 yr old who hangs with older guys like Deepak would date a 13 yr old?  I would not be able to force any 17 yr old boy I know to date a 13 yr old or even be nice to her for one night.  So I started to think.  The chatrooms are always advertising girls who are 13 and want to meet for sex.  I can't help but wonder if they were taking pictures of 13 yr old girls and sending them out on the internet to entice men to their island or at least get their email addresses to send them ads for porn or poker.
