I hate shopping of any kind so I like to run in and out. For instance, I just went to the 99 cent store but they didn't have what I was looking for.  I'll now have to either go to Lowes or Walmart.  Instead of driving directly to Lowes or Walmart I came home.. ha ha.  So maybe I'll go out later.

I totally agree with you, I do the same thing. I absolutely loathe shopping of any kind because I can't stand to be in the stores with such rude, ignorant people. Grab my LIST, go to store, get in and do what I need and gtfo....period.

It would seem that providing over-time to the police was never an issue, but of course one wonders what other forms of spending were hampered by police over-time on an island that claims they are safe and have no crime. So where and why is overtime really paid?

My mother's first new car was a Vega. All of the adolescents in our family and even a neighbor learned to drive on it. She had a Chevy Nova that I totaled by running into a parked car.  

I had a 1976 (?) chevette. Bought it in 1985 for $500. The bottom was nearly rusted out when I bought my first new car 3 years later. Went through three new Fords (two  Escorts) before I finally learned that they were not worth it, and got my first Honda. On my third one now, and will keep it for Justin when he drives in six years!  

I started out with a huge 1965 car of some kind. I don't remember what it was. Big old thing, though. A family of six could have lived comfortably in that thing.

Sunfreak~ I am so sorry that you are not able to practice anymore. I can't imagine actually having gotten through med school, residency and having a good taste of practicing and then not be able to do so anymore.  

From the time that I was a pre-adolescent, my dream was to be a physician. Started out in pre-med the first several terms of undergrad. Changed my major when I realized that I could not get through the math in physics class.  Had started smoking dope and drinking at age 13 years, which was not conducive to fully grasping the finer points of geometry and trig. Muddled through geometry, dropped out of trig (there went physics), and did okay in algebra classes (enough to ace chemistry). Quit smoking dope the summer after my junior year in high school (kept drinking for many more years), but it was too late for the math, since it builds upon itself.    I kick myself in the arse all the time for being so stupid as a kid.

I must be where I am supposed to be, however. My work is highly satisfying.
