I see y'all were reminiscing about your first automobiles. Mine was a sixty something or other blue volkswagen, that car knew the way home all by itself is all I can figure cause many a night I sure could not find my way home!!!!!

Every once in awhile it would die on me in the middle of the road and I would literally get out and give it a good hard kick and the sucker would start running again.... TRUTH!!!!

My first car was a '65 Mustang that my mom had been driven.  She got a new Ford Maverick ( Rolling Eyes ) so I got the Mustang.

Me too.  Time to jump in the shower and head over to the best friends for dinner.

Barbeque chicken, salad, grilled zucchini, baked beans.

I must be where I am supposed to be, however. My work is highly satisfying.

Thanks Justinsmama.  I believe I am where I am supposed to be too.  I had trouble accepting my limitations at first, but God has pointed me another direction.  I think of it as an early retirement now.  Very Happy

Jaque~ Thank you for the beautiful card!
http://www.jacquielawson.com/viewcard.asp?code=ZH45433798

My mother's first new car was a Vega. All of the adolescents in our family and even a neighbor learned to drive on it. Shocked She had a Chevy Nova that I totaled by running into a parked car.  Embarassed

I had a 1976 (?) chevette. Bought it in 1985 for $500. The bottom was nearly rusted out when I bought my first new car 3 years later. Went through three new Fords (two  Escorts) before I finally learned that they were not worth it, and got my first Honda. On my third one now, and will keep it for Justin when he drives in six years!   Very Happy

I started out with a huge 1965 car of some kind. I don't remember what it was. Big old thing, though. A family of six could have lived comfortably in that thing.   Shocked

MISHY! Stop flirting with Easy~ HE'S MINE!  Wink

OMG, I had an Escort after I got rid of one of the Chevettes! Drove it off the lot to go to work at a movie theater and then when my lunch break came up, I went outside to my "new" used car and clunk clunk clunk, it wouldn't crank!!!!!!  Shocked  Shocked

Peaches, musta been nice having a 'stang...That was the car I wanted when I turned 16...several years later I got my wish, but it wasn't one of the cool old ones...totalled it a couple of months after I got it...(not my fault)...

Thanks for the reply, Easy and Cubee and whoever else answered.  When you observe from the sidelines, sometimes it's more noticeable when someone's MIA.

Good morning Monkeys!

Quick update on Uncle Mike.

Again his trial was delayed.

I believe this is the 11th time.

And so it goes.......

Jacquie - I'm so sorry to hear of the continued delays...  Hugs to you.

Thanks, Sleuth and it's great to see you!

This week end was Mikes' family reunion and everyone was hoping he would be home for it.

Now it seems that Christmas is what they are shooting for.

Very discouraging but thanks for your concern!
