How about Barry White??

Now Joan is Singing These Arms of Mine. . . . . .

Music to poke pills down pups' throats by, I always say!

Be back after the Line Up!

Hope I see a re-run of the Japanese Head of State having such fun.  We all should from time to time and there is nothing stopping us but ourselves.

 Cool

Anna, I have fun like that every day of my life.

Jacquie, Yes Joan Osborne did write and perform What if God Was One of Us.  She seldom records anything, however.  Like years in between albums.

Thanks, Klaas!  Yes, eight sounds right to me. Now to dispense heartworm meds before then.  Hope they are in a good mood.

I am thinking that Couey should receive life without possibility then be put in the general population at the prison.  Hate to think he gets off with nice probably painless lethal injection.  And he would not need a very long sentence like that, really.  Just a few years would do the trick.   Wink   Aren't child molesters in prison called "short eyes" cause of looking for short people, kids??  Believe they have special rules and treatments for them among the inmates and no one will be their friend because of this.

So one way or the other, there will be justice of some sort and in this lifetime for Mr. Couey, Klaas!  Don't ever doubt that.

I have a big fan of hers for a long time... she is actually from the Boston area, so I get to hear her a lot...

I loved Elvis.

I remember though being about 15, 16 when he died and I felt bad.

But also commented to my friend, well he was 42, pretty old huh?

 Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

I was 19 years old at the time. My father had just died on August 11, 1977. He was 44 years old. Crying or Very sad While the rest of the world was grieving the loss of Elvis, I was in my own little pit of agony with the rest of my family. I did not begrudge others their grief, I could not muster any additional sorrow at the time for The King.

I am a nong! I've already closed my bank account here in Indy and all of my moola (what little there is) is now in the savings account in the town in which I will be moving. Not even an ATM card yet. Left work yesterday with $10 in my pocket, which went to put gas in the car. I am now out of ciggies AND diet coke! Whoa is me! To make matters worse, I even a little bitty check for $30 on me. Why, oh why did I not get cash out or even cash that check yesterday while still at work?    Rolling Eyes

JustinsMama, my mom also died that year, July 14, 1977.  Wasn't nothing good about that year except the first Star Wars movie.

How about the Japanese Prime Minister being such an Elvis fan?   Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  Cool

Always liked to listen to Elvis but I live near Tupelo so he sounds like home.  Can't imagine what he sounds like to a Japanese, though.

That guy is a hardcore fan!!  I have never been to Graceland and have relatives in Memphis and go there to gamble some times.  Sort of funny for a head of state to be like that!

 Laughing

OMG.. Graceland... Shag carpet on the ceiling... Shocked
