While it's slow....

If you are listening to music now who is the artist and what is the song?

Thompson Twins...HOLD ME NOW

If you aren't listening , who would choose?

Got To Gove It Up, Marvin Gaye

I've been in an oldies mood lately and listening to the Totally 70's SIRIUS channel right now.

I love Janis Joplin, Patsy Cline.  Such fine voices.

Adore Marvin Gaye.. too... and Old Earth, Wind and Fire.... and Stevie Wonder... and RAY Charles.. Sam and Dave.. ohh... love it all!!

Definately love, love janis and Patsy Cline... and Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.... we got married in a fever Shocked

Patsy Cline had one of the purest voices God ever made.

I could listen to Crazy over and over again.  Goosebump city.

Too funny.... confession - I sing.

The artists I do best are Janis Joplin and Patsy Cline. Crazy is my song!!

Jacquie & Frijole, the Shakespeare Festival did the Life of Patsy Cline here a few years ago and the gal who played her part did not look a lot like her except for hair, etc, but she sounded so much like her it made you have goosebumps.  It was one of the best productions they ever did in the small theatre.

I was 19 years old at the time. My father had just died on August 11, 1977. He was 44 years old. Crying or Very sad While the rest of the world was grieving the loss of Elvis, I was in my own little pit of agony with the rest of my family. I did not begrudge others their grief, I could not muster any additional sorrow at the time for The King.

JustinsMama, my mom also died that year, July 14, 1977.  Wasn't nothing good about that year except the first Star Wars movie.

and dang I am a jerk... Sun and Justin's I am sorry that you guys lost such a part of innocence that year... ((HUGS))

Why do you think you are a jerk? Silly Mrs.!

Carnut lost his mama that year, too. Crying or Very sad

There has not been much really, really good music since the 60's and 70's. Those were awsome days, what with the revolution of civil rights.

While on my way to work one morning this past week, I heard a fabulous song playing from the car next to me at a stoplight. I tried to get the guy's attention to ask who was the artist. He did not respond. He was into the music.

Don't know, think what's going on in your life at the time can have an effect on your music likes.

love the 40's, 50's early 60's.

68/69 songs are a bit bittersweet to me.

70's songs are significant to me for college days.

Mid 80's songs seemed to grab me, possibly because of divorce.

got into C&W big time in 90's to present and really enjoy them.

For some weird reason I'm really grabbed by 'these dreams' by Heart.
