Federal Way Man Missing For More Than 2 Weeks

Updated: 8:29 am PST January 5, 2010

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Federal Way man who's been missing for more than two weeks.

Scott McMorran was last seen at his home located near the 3000 block of South 288th Street at noon on Dec. 19.

His family said the 50-year-old man has a recent history of depression and suicidal thoughts.

McMorran's vehicle, a burgundy 1995 four-door Dodge Stratus with Washington license No. 170 VEH, is also missing from his home.

Police said there has been no activity in the man's bank accounts and his cell phone appears to be shut off.

McMorran is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 190 pounds, 50 years old, with blue eyes and red hair with a receding hairline.

Anyone with information about McMorran's whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Well, apparently his body has been found, but not the Federal Way I-5 body.

Body Report....
NEAR AUBURN, Wash. -- A man was found dead near the wreckage of a car that had apparently fallen over a 200-foot embankment on Tuesday.

King County sheriff's deputies and fire crews responded to the scene in the 16200 block of SE Auburn Black Diamond Road around 3:30 p.m. and found the body near the car.

Officials don't know when the car crashed, or how long the body has been at the location. The investigation is ongoing.

A poster at WS says that the above remains/car were those of Scott. I cannot find an official report of this being fact. I will wait to move. >>>>>>
Scott has been found. His family has been notified.

I will love you and miss you forever!

from the comments in this article http://www.komonews.com/news/local/82119827.html

Tiffany_P

It was a car. A mid-90's Dodge. He has been identified and his name was released to his family. He was my uncle and had been missing for a month. I don't want to put his name on here because I'm not sure whether or not that's something the police would allow if there will be an ongoing investigation. Since they aren't letting it out to the news yet, I figured I shouldn't either. He was NOT from West Skagit County.

He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. R.I.P. Uncle! We all love you very very much!!!
