I think Marten got himself into a little trouble in that country and took down his sites and went low profile. I believe that JVDS remains the key to solving this case.  I believe he knows what happened to Natalee, and who was involved.

As long as he continues to breath, I believe he has the opportunity for redemption and confessing his involvement in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

I pray that when this young man ... who is obviously spinning out of control ... comes to the point when the load he is carrying is too great ... he will bow and reach up ... plead forgiveness from God and those he has wronged.  On the glorious day ... the truth the family of Natalee Holloway have been striving for ... will be revealed and ... Joran's changed heart will imply that he will willingly accept the consequences for all his wrongdoings.

I am not even going to state my opinion or knowledge or anything... Not going to get myself involved in any arguments because I am trying to stay in a good mood. i will say, for the record, this Martin guy was very "fond" of Joran... regardless of what may have or may not have happened where this is concerned. Martin is gay or bi, period. Nothing wrong with that. Just saying...  He is kind of acting like a scorned lover. IF Joran ripped him off, (as I said-- not going to state my opinion to preserve what sanity I have left today) Martin is behaving like someone who just got dumped or hurt by their significant other... revenge mode. No one should be excused for their roles in whatever they did wrong here, whether it be Joran or this guy... But man, oh man. Okay, I am hushing now.

OG, acc. to Martin he and Joran had 2 years of intensive internet contact, so I guess Joran knew Martin being very "fond" of him.

Martin said while interviewed that Joran had told him that if he ever told anyone the things they discussed he would "stop it".

SBS showed a chatlog allegedly of Joran and Martin, who knows, maybe Martin kept logs of all their conversations and Schouten will become his representative.

Nothing would suprise me anymore in this case.

Good observation. But the bastard has to get his money from somewhere and he has been gainfully un-employed since he first stuck his ugly head out of the Aruba sand three years ago.

We know he's no gambling genius, so unless he's a chicken for people like Martin his spending money must be coming from Paulus and Anita. They'd go a long way to controlling his behavior by cutting him off.

Well Shit!! You would think they would have put there foot down after he drugged,raped and threatened people even before Natalee arrived. Killed his own dog,smashed windows,beat his brother up,stole from his parents and vandalized..If that wasn't bad enough he became involved in the drugging,rape and murder of Natalee Holloway and still they covered up and protected him..He thinks more then ever that he is invincible and it's there fault for creating the Monster.

He's probably blackmailing his own father for whatever his involvement was in the disappearance of Natalee.

I just want to say the nice thing about SM is the victim is recognized. For that I am eternally thankful. We need to remember that Mart Bakx is also most likely a victim. I know that some will say he is an old man, and I also know that some will say he got what he deserved.

unfortunately, there are people out there that do not have the mental capacity to completely determine what's good for them or not. Some people are way too trusting, and for that I do thank them for reminding me of the good that some people still possess. Maybe Mr Mart needs an adviser to help him in his affairs. That would be a good idea and it would happen before he was hurt again.

Good post Rob. And I know mr. Bakx has a couple of people around him that have helped him in this sad situation. What upsets me is that Joran probably knew what kind of person mr. Bakx is. He is a clergyman....who came across as sweet, trusting...maybe a bit lonely to me. Disgusting to take advantage of that.
And Joran has had more than enough time to fix up the possible miscommunications with him if he was sincere.
The sad thing is that mr. Bakx pressed charges but I don't know if that's going to go anywhere...he gave his bankinfo willingly...it would be difficult to prove.

Joran has a serious personality disorder. He needs treatment and he needs to be prevented from continuing these parasitic behaviors.  It's not going to stop and in fact, it will most likely become worse.  Joran will do whatever is necessary to satisfy his narcissistic desires.  He has no regard for anyone except himself, and there is no remorse.  There will be many more victims, unless he is stopped.

Here are the chats we got on camera (the interview doesn't give extra info except the fact it seems Joran has another debt in a casino (Hong Kong)...)….the translations are loose because Joran uses slang a bit so I’ve interpreted the meaning sometimes because otherwise, with a literal translation, it wouldn’t make sense.

Hyves: confirmed some time ago...but that's from my memory.
Pictures: haven't seen one yet.
Webcam: don't know: chat, e-mail & phone...he should have known Jorans voice though....and there were moneytransfers before....a bankaccount does show your name etc.
