This is an interesting case only from the perspective of who we allow out to roam the streets and when.  The girl only wanted to see her father one more time.  The warden prevented that by stalling until the little girl had slipped into a coma.  I can not sympathize with criminals, but I do think in this instance the situation could have been handled better.  The father had been found guilty and has served all but 30 days of the 5 year minimum security lockup.  He is due to be transferred by the end of April to a half way house. 

The only reason he was even allowed to visit the bedside for 30 minutes was because it was a media event for the prison system.  It took the pressure from MSM for even that to happen.
