it is really outrageous that Rudy nominate Steenhuis for PG.

i posted about it on page 1 of this thread.
http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=2830.msg380142#msg380142
So Steenhuis is replacing Nico Jorg and not Mos.....is that correct?

It is outrageous Caesu!! Sad They needed someone who was dirty and corrupt so they would fit right in.

Yes he will act as the Prosecutor General until the end of the year  I don't know what Mos's title is..I know he doesnt have KJ's job as Chief Prosecuter as that is Dop Kumiel. He isn't the AG either,He's like the head of the OM and the head BS PR spokesperson for that part of the Govt. He described himself like a Director(Manager)of the OM.

i am not 100% sure now.
but i think Hans Mos has KJ's job: public prosecutor.

and Dop Kruimel is press public prosecutor.
her job is to speak to the press. to explain indictments to the press.

i don't know if there was also a press public prosecutor around when KJ was there.

but Mos sort of sidelines Dop Kruimel and speaks to the press himself.
public prosecutor and press public prosecutor are equal jobs, same requirements.

some OM's also have a spokesman. this is then kind of the secretary for the press public prosecutor.

but things on Aruba are really the other way around. nobody knows what they are doing or should be doing at that OM is seems. this was also in that article you posted last week from A. de Cuba. that nobody picked up the phone at the OM. they were all taking courses at other islands.

so you might be right after all.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter who is the AG or Prosecution spokesperson(Mos) is, the result will be the same. The "Thorazine" society just doesn't care. They did wake from their slumber to bitch they weren't being paid enough, but it's back to sleep now.

I think it does serve notice to Holland that their justice system is in need of an overhaul. Top to bottom. Once some of these judicial and legal rats get their hooks into the system they fight to keep each other in power.

Shuffling all these guys around just makes it harder to get a prosecution as they need to get up to speed and most lack the will.

dop kruimel, persofficier

press public prosecutor.

they've got 4 public prosecutors on aruba.
including 1 head, 1 press.

by the way, in this article Rudy Croes is denying that the OM overspend their budget:

We were told when KJ was there that the AG and her bosses would not allow her to speak. She gave a interview early on and that was about it,after a short time she stopped communicating with the Family. Beth says it was after her and jug were questioning how the the blood turned into chocolate in Deepak's car. As you know they then hired a attorney for better communications with the OM.  If you google interviews with her and Van Der Straten you will find very little and you won't find even one with Dennis Jacobs.

They said that thing's were different with the new team and Mos and that they were gonna communicate more with the Family and Media. All they did was put up a hired gun to BS everyone and to protect there precious tourism and cover up. When has Mos ever commented on the ridiculous blunders by Paul's friends that killed Natalee's chance at justice? They will continue to make attempts to end this without ever prosecuting anyone or revealing the truth and drag it out as long as possible in hopes everyone moves on.

you are totally right.

all those fancy names don't help a bit.
there is even the position "super procureur general"
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_van_procureurs-generaal_(Nederland)

but i think the netherlands is really scared to get all these old cows out of the ditch.
all kinds of scandals might get exposed.
most of them related to the dutch colonial past.
the PG revolt i mentioned earlier is also connected to Rolph Gonzalves.
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolph_Gonsalves

he was "vice-super PG" at that time. he supposedly killed of ordered the killing of many indigenous people in Irian Jaya - a former colony of the netherlands.

and this PG revolt possibly connected to Desi Bouterse (surinam drugs cartels / december murders).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_murders
many colonial scandals still unexposed it seems...

the trust in the dutch legal system is already low due to many mistrials or wrongfull convictions (some later corrected).
there are also very presistent rumours that the head of the dutch justice department (secretary general Joris Demmink) is a child molester / pedo.
http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=demmink+pedo&btnG=Google+zoeken&meta=
if all those scandals get exposed the trust in the legal system will hit rock bottom.

so maybe the strategy is not to expose these fo the sake of the continuation of the justice system.
because of every single ruling (also the non disputable rulings) get questioned the entire rule of law system is undermined.

clean it up before the whole system collapses on itself i think.

Controversial PG in Aruba

ORANJESTAD – To set off the departure of attorney general and acting procurator general (PG) Nico Jörg, Dato Willem Steenhuis will be temporarily appointed as PG of Aruba, said Justice-minister Rudy Croes yesterday.

that's correct.
Hans Mos probably stays on as public prosector until 2009.
if Steenhuis gets confirmed by the kingdom cabinet he will be procureur general (sometimes translated attorney general) until 2009.the kingdoms cabinet convenes every 3 weeks.

Hirsch Ballin (the dutch justice minister) and Rudy Croes are thankful towards Dato Steenhuis i presume for causing Docters van Leeuwen, the head of the board of procureur generals, to be fired in 1998.
Steenhuis at that time was procureur general of Leeuwarden and was transferred to Arnhem - but not fired.

Docters van Leeuwen wanted to clean up the Aruban justice department and get Desi Bouters (military dictator of Surinam and responsible for the december murders in 1982 and head of Surinam drugs cartel) extradited from Brasil to The Netherlands.

Steenhuis together with Tom van Daalen headed the post-IRT-commission in 2000 examining if the dutch justice department improved after the IRT-scandal.

van Daalen became procureur general of Aruba in 1997 after procureur general Jan van Zwinkels was fired in 1996 by Aruba.
because a dutch commission De Ruiter enquired the Cargo-scandal, which is a scandal simular to IRT-scandal but then for Aruba.
De Ruiter-commission advised to fire van Zwinkels and everybody in high positions of the Aruban police force.
van Zwinkels accused the Aruban government of contacts with Colombian drugs cartels.
the Aruban government meanwhile accused van Zwinkels of simular things.

a year later, in 1998, van Daalen got Steenhuis old job as procureur generaal of Leeuwarden.

Caesu,
I've read many things about the Steenhuis appointment.  If I remember correctly, one of the items stated that he would only remain in the position until December; because he would then be 65 years old.  At that age he would be required to step down from what I understood.  Is that correct?

I think this was a interesting story today. It would be even more interesting if that station wagon was yellow like what Junior saw at the dump with the red jeep. I know PVDS poured concrete after Natalee dissapeared but where? Was it a smokescreen for work at the house? ..Would he be that brazen to bury a murdered girl in his back yard? Or was the concrete poured for other reasons or somewhere else?

that's what i read too.
i didn't know there was that requirement.
especially because the dutch government encourages the public to work longer.

Steenhuis becomes 65 on december 12th.

so then Rudy Croes has to come up with another PG.
but i remind that Steenhuis first has to be confirmed by the kingdom cabinet.
they convene every 3 weeks. Nico Jörg leaves July 1st, so Rudy Croes is quite late with nominating Steenhuis.
23rd of May and 13rd op June there are kingdom cabinet meetings.
but i don't think the confirmation will be problem.
Hirsch Ballin won't have objections and he is of the same party as PM Balkenende.
only if the media would cover this extensively it might be different.
