I can't speak about this specific pond, but about the ponds in general......the drainage is so bad there(Aruba) that whenever it rains , even if it is a hard rain for minutes a day, the roads flood, the parking lots flood, and the ponds seem to be for run off, and to help with this flooding. I have been in Aruba in the months of march, april, july, august, december and have found most of the ponds to have water.

I suppose if we knew when those satellite photos were taken and what month maybe we could determine if that pond was full in May 2005. 

Here is a view of the pond from the back of what I presume is the Chinese restaurant.

Klaas...there were 2 photos in Diario...from diff angels...did I get both?...btw...THANK YOU...I got it...but of only one of the photos...there was one with the piece of cup in it too...I think

Are there pictures of Joran wearing sneakers prior to meeting Natalee?  I can't imagine him wearing sneakers that were that scuffed up.
