On your question whether I thought it strange that Joran had left his sport-shoes on the beach, I can say the following. I did find it strange, but they were his shoes so not my problem.

Deepak is not stupid, I bet he took them just in case he needed them someday.

Deepak has something on Joran.  Not just his statements he made but actual physical evidence.  What that is I don't know but I do believe he might have a copy of the video they made.  Deepak is computer smart and he downloaded the video.  Joran is an idiot who couldn't even clear his tickle site correctly.  Someone has this tape.

I believe the "sneakers" Joran was wearing were the same exact ones that he had on in the picture of him at CnC's.  In that picture they look like a tan color.  It could be they look that color because of the lighting or they are just dirty.  For the longest time we all though they were boots.  After a discussion one night and viewing the picture closer we all realized they were sneakers.  The ones he had on in the picture with Greta are not the ones he wore.  He wore a totally different pair from what he usually wears to throw people off.  JMO.

San, I have thought about this same thing so many times.  If Freddy was using his production skills that night, there is a video somewhere that would be proof of all the participants.  I have wondered if a video is "the key" which is referred to in S&S.

I believe that Freddy and Deepak are still friends (we saw them together at CnC's after he got out of jail).  I also believe that Joran and Freddy are no longer friends or they aren't that close anymore.  I believe Joran tiptoes around Freddy because he is scared to death of Freddy.  Not Freddy in particular but his family.  This is one family that the Sloots can't overpower because he knows Freddy's family is mafia.  Paulus helped Freddy for a reason and that is because he was there when Natalee died.  Freddy's statement is pure BS about Joran telling him what happened and like Deepak he remembers every detail about what Joran told him.  Freddy slipped up when he made that statement and Joran very nicely said Freddy mistakenly said the date when Joran supposedly told him the story.  If it was anyone else who told that story Joran would have ripped him a new A hole but he didn't.

Klass, I'm limited with the photography skills.  Is it possible to get a side by side of the dirty sneakers at C&Cs and the sneakers that Joran was wearing when he got the award a few days before Natalee disappeared?  The award picture is somewhere on this thread.

His shoes were not dirty during the award picture.  It only looks a little dirty because the picture was enlarged.

I'm thinking out load.  Urine's sneakers are the color of that soccer field.  Something doesn't sit right, though.  When my son was in high school and college he played soccer.  He had special soccer shoes.  The design was more like the white K-Swiss shoes that Destiny researched and the shoe that was recently found.  The sole of the soccer shoe also had some kind of raised cleats.  This is not to say that Urine couldn't have played soccer on that field with those sneakers on, but if he was a big soccer sporter, wouldn't he have had soccer shoes?
