AAAHHH!!!
All the way back to page 3 and still can't find OE's birth announcement!! Can someone bump it, would love to see the details!!

Congrats Kyle!!! What a blessing!!! May the good Lord always keep her safe, sound and happy!!!

Posted by Debbie at BFN (I'm not sure if all the details were posted here)

I received a wonderful message from
Oceanexploration (Kyle) today.... I had to share:

"Natalee Grace" was born at 4:14pm on June 3rd.
She was 7lbs 10 oz and 21" long.
Both mamma and baby are doing wonderful and are now at home.
Baby Natalee is absolutely beautiful, calm, and strong.
Thank you for your love and payers.

*******

The fact that Kyle and his wife were so touched by Kyle's experience
in searching for Natalee off the shores of Aruba lead them to name their
brand new baby girl after Natalee is not only touching and heartwarming,
it is also a testament to how Natalee has touched our lives.

Natalee Grace has a real hero in her daddy!  I am proud of Kyle and all
those aboard the Persistence and I am proud to know that they are all
upstanding people that are leaving a wonderful legacy for their families
and for all of us.

Kyle, congratulations.  I am so happy and so excited for you and your family.
Prayers for all!!!

Aruba, a bankrupt welfare state?

If the Netherlands is not prepared to pump 1 Million€  into the economy of the island of Aruba it  is bankrupt. At least, that the Aruban government wants us to believe. In recent months, there was still everything geharrewar between the Netherlands and Aruba. In June showed Minister of Justice Rudy Croes yet know all ties with the Netherlands want to disconnect. That would be a good time to have been heads with nails to save. What should we do with that island? It has since 1986 a separate status, the crime is high and ailing, the people of this mini anything. Of course we have in the past benefited from the mineral. But we should still feel morally obliged to?

The figures. The island is 180 m2 in size, slightly larger than Texel (160m2). There are 100,000 people with similar population of a medium-sized city like Alkmaar. The main source of income is tourism. Annual visits 600,000 wealthy Americans the island. The population there is momentum. Unemployment is low and the income per capita is the second highest in the Caribbean. From poverty is thus no question. The location, near the coast of Venezuela, it raises concerns. The encroachment of crime, for example. Rich attract tourists to the underworld. But is that the problem of the Dutch government?

Yes, that's our problem because Aruba, a so-called LOG, political belongs to the Netherlands and the European community. The residents have the Dutch nationality. When Aruba was rightly criticized that the local government of the missing Natalee Holloway had not progressed Netherlands had addressed themselves accountable. We certainly did gedwee, afraid to good relations with America to do violence.

After long negotiations got Aruba in 1986 the so fervently desired Status Aparte. A condition of Dutch side was that Aruba decade later, on January 1, 1996, would be fully independent. That is unfortunately never came. So we're still willy-nilly involved in Aruba. The eilandbestuur is responsible for the daily course of business. Netherlands should not interfere but should have the holes in the budget gap.

Aruba is an arid and dry island. The highest mountain is 186 meters. The attraction will preside over but not under water. For scuba diving is one of the most beautiful locations on Earth. The beach is exuberant and nightlife for lovers of sex, drink, drugs, music and gambling an eldorado. The casinos are not inferior to the luxury of Las Vegas. There is therefore a lot of money into the tourism industry. We know another state that can fine-supporting thanks to the gokkasten and its ideal location at sea: the principality of Monaco. Monaco has no subsidy, Aruba strangely enough, yes. Word is not the time to agree seriously with the government of Aruba to talk prior to deposit money into a bottomless pit?

I already have a tip. You have to pay for parking your car in Amsterdam . Something for Aruba perhaps? Parking on the whole island is still free.

I thought tourism was soaring according to Briesen's office. How could they be bankrupt?

IT HAS BEEN ALL OVER THE NEWS LAST NIGHT AND THIS MORNING. PRICES FOR AIRLINE TICKETS ARE SUPPOSED TO DOUBLE AND TRIPLE WITH THE NEXT TWO MONTHS due to the fuel crisis.

That doesn't bode well for people booking Aruba for high season 2008-2009. Low season is bad anyway. I suspect many people will start driving to the vacation destinations or making shorter flights within the continental United Stated.

the same week that oduber was crying on the shoulders of the dutch parliament about the natalee case and high fuel costs costing the island l0's of millions of dollars, briesen was out bragging about how well the tourism business was.  sounds like one of them was lying just a little bit.
