I like that idea SS  If any three of us wrote such a book It would be the most explosive writing ever put on paper about this case. Certainly would be a major blow to there precious Tourism and the cover up that was barely ever talked about in any other book or interview. People may actually book trips to Aruba just so they could meet PVDS,Deepak,Julia,Jacobs and others personally

Guess I have been away too long but I just can't see why all the tension is going on between people who have STOOD WITH THE GIRL & the newer ones who have done & are doing the same thing. MOO

Hello San (aka Boom-Boom)...We each in our own way contribute what we can to help find justice for Natalee. No more and no less, whether it be through letter campaigns, emails, fund raising, prayers and etc.  For myself, I appreciate the effort of my fellow monkeys and when I see a monkey being mean to another  and attacking it saddens me and feel it sets us back a step.  Maybe some monkeys need to take a step back and remember why they are here.  To do less in this thread is a disrespect, imo.

yep, what rational explanation could there have possibly been? you have formal suspects protected by a crooked judge... and Jansen (supposedly) got the DNA samples without a court order... now did she do that on puropse knowning it would be thrown out or was that the excuse... and once that ruling was made - what was to prevent another court order from collecting the samples? This is deliberate.

At that time you had three key suspects that were telling different stories about what happened that night. Ordering their DNA destroyed makes no more sense that releasing them unconditioally to never have to give testimony again. But they did it anyway because they felt they were above justice, above the law. This is the arrogant handywork of crooked Dutch judges, particularly Rick Smid, but there were plenty of others who played a hand in helping their pal Pustus.

Aren't people usually arrested for tampering with evidence in a police investigation?  I believe that ALE and the Netherlands know exactly what was on that computer and they know exactly how and where Natalee disappeared.  She was just an American tourist though, and they have to protect their own.

Yes they are SS. And they are usually arrested for kidnapping and murder when they confess to disposing of a person when they are sure whether they are alive or not. And they are usually arrested for rape when they admit to molesting a person when they are drunk or have been drugged.

The problem is that the Dutch do not enforce their laws, not on Aruba anyway. These are all Dutch laws on the books, they have confessions and other evidence, but they continue to do nothing about it. Of course it helps when you are the son of a well-connected judge-in-training.

I have often wondered whether Aruba is still in the total grip of Mafia control, Kermit. They allowed a convicted Mafia felon to own a casino on their shores which is totally against their laws. (Of course, we know they do not follow their laws.) Aruba was the first nation in history to be owned outright by the Mafia. What is puzzling is how the Dutch government can co-exist, and have been for decades, with the Mafia.

I know that some feel that the Dutch government has been badly damaged, but I'm not sure.  I sometimes feel like they don't give a damn one way or the other, and they've just pushed Aruba and Natalee Holloway to the side.  Until Patrick and Peter did their video, I'm not sure how many people iin Holland even paid attention to what had happened.  That crappy little island needs to be exposed.

I would imagine it was quite easy when the population was only around 70,000 people. That Casino was owned by the Mafia even before Posner took over and for all we know Posner and his chicago group and the Cuntrera-Caruana clan are one in the same.

Ironically, Joran has helped expose the corruption with his last confession, but there is so much on these creeps just waiting to be exposed. Jannsen and van der Straten helped expose the corruption through their highly suspicious and dubious actions. The judges have helped to expose the corruption through their blantantly biased rulings. The cops have helped expose the corruption through the obvious omissions in their interrogations. It is very hard to cover up a murder case with this magnitude of public awareness and the Arubans were blundering neophytes at doing it. They had just gotten away with before.

I am sure they had to put on a facade of a family vacation spot to act as a cover for the drug smuggling and money laundering that go on there, but the casinos run that country and that is where the money is laundered. I suspect Pustus called in some favors. He didn't just stumble onto the biggest mafia lawyer in the states to represent his son while thumbing through the phone book.

I don't think they gave a damn until Joran's confession on the Peter deVries show. Then their own people got up in arms and they were severely embarrassed. The lackadaisical crap we saw coming out of NFI the first two years pretty much tells you they didn't give a damn. Those cryptic findings they released were so vague and non-committal you have to wonder whether they were in on the cover-up. Go back and read their findings on the Skeeter tape and you'll see what I mean.
