As far as time in jail, for LVR I guess silence pays? 
Some day LVR will wind up dead....and quite unexpectedly, imo, probably in another country. 
He can never be trusted not to tell what he might profitably sell to the media or barter with the drug lords and mafia.

After reading most I everything I could about him ,I think it is likely he is Daury along with PVDS. I think it is highly likely PVDS picked up Joran and Natalee at 4AM and Joran caught the bus for school by Lorenzo's house a few hours later. Lorenzo is a recluse drug addict and dealer,he is probably the last person they are worried about as far as talking to the media or someone else. People that know him have said he lived on the edge,was spoiled,crazy,and did anything he wanted and eventually will hit a brick wall..Sound like anyone else we know? Your right,Eventually LVR will wind up like his adopted father Paul Van Rijn if he doesnt wind up in prison first where he belongs.

LVR is probably still at his house in Jaraweg,partying it up and back to business. If he isn't growing 100+ plants at his compound anymore then he is probably looking for other avenues for that cash flow. There are many Van Rijn's in Holland including his mother so I would imagine he spends time there as well.

My question is, if this is really Joran his hair is longer.  The photo of him in Thailand at SamSam was taken on 5/2/08 and his hair appeared to be very short.

This idea came to me a long time ago.

I live near the airport here - it was an international airport but we lost the British Airways connection and the US Airways International end to a certain degree also.

As I drive on the highway I see many billboards on the way to the airport.. most are for rental cars and hotels..

if we raised a bunch of money and placed about 10 billboards around the country on the way to the biggest airports that are still servicing Aruba we could make a huge impact... so many people would see those billboards and Natalee.

We have them by the balls - this would knock them out!!

The only problem about the billboards around the airports is that by the time the people see the signs -- they already have bought their tickets.
A better sign might be:
 "If you already bought tickets to Aruba -- you effed up!"

I think Aruba should also place a big sign by their Departure gates : "You effed up -- you trusted us!" 

wreck the idea is to get them to not consider Aruba in the first place... so they don't buy tickets..people drive these roads and are not yet booked and need reminded.

Not if we got Arubas competition to sponsor them...or a major cruise line...that does not include Aruba as a destination...it's really very easy to bury things like this in corporate advertizing budgets...you work with the ad agencies, in league with corporate, to keep it off the corporates books...easy to do...really...

I read on your website that among other things, as I Aruban PG in the crucial first ten days after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway have ruined the case.

I gave you earlier pointed out that this is contrary to the truth and I've asked you to stop untruths to proclaim.

I will again say how things really works. Natalee is the night of 29 on May 30, 2005 disappeared. I was up to June 6, the first eight days after the disappearance, in the Netherlands.
I do have those days during telephone contact with Karin Janssen and I've told her several times that those three boys, whose last with her and had let persist. Her answer was that those boys were first phonetaped , because otherwise the police had "nothing to the hearing to go". When I returned in Aruba, I told her again that she had to arrest the 3 boys . Her answer was that they were waiting for  video equipment from the Netherlands, because the questioning of the boys would be included on the video. WE never worked before  on  Aruba with  video. Why that had to happen now, could not be made clear to me. I was against, because the police never previously had included video interviews and had no experience with this method of questioning.

But as you now do, when I was appointed as the culprit of that disastrous first ten days, while I have nothing to do with it. The first eight days, I was not even in Aruba.  Karin  Janssen replaced for me as  PG and she  took the decisions at that moment . I have never throughout the investigation had contact with Commissioner van der Straten, either personally or by telephone ..

Janssen  never informed me   of the planned arrest of the two guards. I've saw  this in the Netherlands on television. I was never made clear why these two guards were arrested, because there was no indication that they were involved in the disappearance of Natalee. They are never to teletapped  "to have something to the hearing to go".

I would be grateful if you have a correction on your website and places where you are in the future would refrain from proclaim untruths.

Ik heb wel gedurende die dagen telefonisch contact gehad met hovj Janssen en ik heb haar meerdere malen gezegd dat zij die drie jongens, die als laatste met haar waren, moest laten aanhouden. Haar antwoord was dat die jongens eerst getapt moesten worden, want anders had de politie "niets om het verhoor in te gaan". Toen ik in Aruba terugkeerde heb ik haar opnieuw gezegd dat zij die jongens moest aanhouden. Haar antwoord was toen dat ze aan het wachten waren op videomateriaal uit Nederland, want het verhoor van de jongens zou op de video opgenomen worden. Nooit eerder is in Aruba een verhoor op de video opgenomen. Waarom dat nu moest gebeuren, kon mij niet duidelijk gemaakt worden. Ik was er tegen, omdat de politie nooit eerder video-verhoren had opgenomen en geen ervaring hadden met deze wijze van verhoren.

Maar zoals u nu ook doet, werd ik toen aangewezen als de schuldige van die rampzalige eerste tien dagen, terwijl ik daar helemaal niets mee te maken heb. De eerste acht dagen was ik niet eens in Aruba. De hovj Janssen verving mij als wnd P-G en zij nam de beslissingen. Ik heb nooit gedurende het gehele onderzoek contact gehad met commissaris van der Straten, noch persoonlijk, noch telefonisch..

Ik ben nooit door hovj Janssen op de hoogte gesteld van de voorgenomen aanhouding van de twee bewakers. Ik heb dit in Nederland op de televisie gezien. Mij is ook nooit duidelijk gemaakt waarom deze twee bewakers aangehouden moesten worden, want er was geen enkele aanwijzing, dat zij betrokken waren bij de verdwijning van Natalee. Ze zijn ook nooit getapt om "iets te hebben om het verhoor in te gaan".

Ik zou het zeer op prijs stellen indien u een rectificatie op uw website zou plaatsen en indien u zich in de toekomst zou onthouden van het verkondigen van onwaarheden.

Criminality increased with 11 percent

Looking back on 2007, chief of police Peter de Witte is of the opinion that the shooting incident near Arubus in December of last year, whereby a 19-year old boy shot a police officer and was self shot and killed, is an example of the hardening in the society and especially with the youth.

ORANJESTAD – From the tentative figures of the Police Corps of Aruba it appears that criminality has increased with 11.3 percent last year.  This has to do with mainly the sharp rise of the number of robberies, especially in homes.  The police are highly satisfied with the approach of the local drug dealings and the use of narcotics; more than 200 kilo cocaine was confiscated last year, double the amount of 2006.

Points of concern are the development of the youth criminality and “the growing ease with which firearms are being used”, said chief of police Peter de Witte looking back on last year.  “The shooting incident in December of last year is an example of that.  It started with a fight and it ended in a shout-out, whereby one police officer was hit by two bullets and the shooter that finally died.”

The chief of police is also very concerned about the armed confrontations between several youth groups that in addition are getting more and more involved with criminal activities.  “A hardening has taken place.”  De Witte doesn’t want to talk about gangs.  “That gives them too much status.  These are groups that represent certain neighbourhoods, of which some are engaged in criminality like drug dealing and burglary.”   

Besides, the police corps has no perception of the age structure of those that commit crimes; at least not until a new registration system is introduced soon.  The youth criminality has been raised to priority one this year.  “Youth criminality, definitely after the serious incidents of last year, is heavily qualified for the subjective safety feeling.  More and more people are wondering: Do I have to go to carnival due to the problems caused by the young people.”

FEWER CAR THEFTS

Thus, the number of crimes has increased last year.  The number of crimes committed in 2005 was 5511; in 2006, 5643; and in 2007, 6277.  Again, the highest number of crimes committed is robbery, especially due to the increased number of housebreakings.  Lowering the number of burglaries is therefore on the priority list of this year.  The number of car thefts has decreased with 19 percent compared to 2006; which is positive, according to De Witte.

Same as past years, destruction and ill-treatment are the common crimes.  The number of deadly violent offences is dropping; 3 versus 7 in 2006 and 6 in 2005.

67 Percent of these crimes are solved.  

The stricter approach of the local dealing in drugs and use of narcotics that the police has started with last year and is also a spearhead for this year, is according to De Witte very successful.  Not only did the number of cocaine that was confiscated last year doubled compared to 2006, but the police also confiscated 1078 XTC-pills versus 340 in 2006.  A total of 152 persons, including 11 drug dealers were arrested during police actions in the entertainment centre.  “The local drug dealing and use of drugs remains a big problem. It caused a lot of inconvenience in the districts and peripheral criminality, like burglary.  Especially the youth is very vulnerable when they come into contact with drugs.  We know that drugs is being used and sold on several schools and I an very worried about that”, said De Witte.

TRAFFIC

Despite the extra traffic surveillances in 2007, the number of deaths in traffic accidents increased to 18; a big increase compared to the past 4 years. The number of reported collisions keeps dropping (-6.2 percent to 5858).  With all the police actions in traffic, the traffic behaviour has changed, says De Witte.  He hopes that a combination of traffic surveillance and prevention would change this.  The biggest problem is still alcohol in traffic.  “Most optimum would be to conduct traffic surveillance every day, but that is not realistic.  The corps doesn’t have enough capacity.”
