Just wondering out loud but one girl was shot 5 times, the other 8 times in the country on a rural road. Someone had to have heard something. I know gunshots are common in a rural area but 13 shots would have been heard by someone. I do not recall any one saying they heard anything. This happened near her home and her Grandpa doesn't hear anything? Does anyone recall a witness stating they heard shots? Even at a distance this would have been heard out in the country and relatively well at that. Ugh.....this case is solvable why the delays?

What a shame that there has not been an arrest in this case.

They have found the serial number that goes with the gun used in the murders.  I just saw it on the Tulsa News station Fox 23.  Let me see if I can find a link.

Here is a link to a similar article.  5,000 dollar reward.  I pray they found the evil person/persons that killed these beautiful girls.

Gun used in Weleetka girls' murder still missing
October 13, 2011

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is again asking for the public's help in finding the gun used to kill two Weleetka girls more than three years ago.

The OSBI is confident a Glock .40 model 22 was used to murder 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker and 13-year-old Taylor Placker June 8, 2008, about 100 yards from Placker's home. The serial number on that gun is EKG463US.

An intense investigation revealed the gun may have been sold at a gun show in Tulsa this past March. Previous releases on this weapon have produced no viable leads. The OSBI is offering up to $5,000 for this firearm. Agents are confident the person who now owns this weapon is not responsible for the girls' murders. If you have information about this gun, please call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.

A manager with the United States Shooting Academy and William Whitaker, the father of Skyla, both feel the new information about the gun will get officers closer to solving the case.

Interesting...perhaps this will be the lead they need. I still think it is a 'local' person.

This is ridiculous that this hasn't been solved by now. I pray this leads to something. Someone wanted to silence these two kids, but why?

::snipping2::WELEETKA, Okla. -- It has been three and a half years since 13-year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker were found gunned down along a dirt road outside of Weleetka. Recently, family members of another murder victim have spoken out; they believe the man arrested for that crime may have ties to the Weleetka murder as well.

Kevin Sweat has been arrested and charged with the murder of his fiance, Ashley Taylor.

Taylor's family confronted Sweat around the time her disappearance.

They believe Sweat was involved in her murder and in the murder of the Waleetka girls. ::snipping2::
The Okfuskee County District Attorney has issued this statement regarding a connection between Sweat and the Weleetka girls:

"The Okfuskee County District Attorney's office is aware of the allegations concerning Kevin Sweat's possible connection to the murders of Skyla Whitaker and Taylor Placker. I can assure you that the OSBI and other law enforcement entities are working around the clock to pursue each and every lead in this case, including any and all leads regarding Mr. Sweat. I am aware of the scrutiny that has recently been cast upon the OSBI regarding the investigation. I can assure you that the OSBI has worked and is working diligently on this matter. Over the past three years I have personally worked hand-in-hand with the OSBI and numerous other law enforcement entities regarding this case. Our office has complete confidence not only in the manner that the OSBI has handled the murder case of Skyla Whitaker and Taylor Placker but also in the fact that, ultimately, the person responsible for their deaths will be brought to justice."  ::snipping2::

Thanks Kitty, very interesting. an angelic monkey There are now 5 parts to her series. You may have to search around for them. The author mentions that FOX was interviewing the Taylor's but I don't recall seeing anything. I will look around though.

OSBI Follows Lead In Weleetka Case To Tulsa Gun Show

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation sought information at a Tulsa gun show about a possible murder weapon.

Investigators think they have identified the weapon used to kill Taylor Paschal Placker and Skyla Whitaker near Weleetka in 2008.

Gun dealers passed out a flier that listed the model and serial number of the suspected murder weapon.  ::snipping2::

The gun show’s organizers asked dealers to hand out the fliers and talk to their customers about the case.

The gun dealers, however, say that if the gun had been sold by a licensed dealer, there would have been a record of it.

In Oklahoma anyone can sell another resident a gun without going through a licensed dealer.

Investigators say whoever has the gun is not a suspect. ::snipping2::

Hey everyone, haven't died just yet. Damn it's 2010, almost a year since I said anything to anyone. Alot has changed, where should I start?

Well first, I'm no longer in the military, I got out back in 09, alittle relieved, and I got my long hair back Smile But there's more bad than good. One of my friends left some stuff in my car in Oct. got busted for it, and because of my brothers drug history, the court was able to screw me out of my diverd sentence, so now I got a criminal record because of all this. What dumb shit?!

I'm living on my own, or somewhere. I got engaged not to long ago, biggest mistake of my life. Wish I knew she was a complete basketcase (medicated and suicidal) before I got with her. Now I'm kinda stuck, but no worries yet...I'm saving up money so I can finally leave Oklahoma once and for all. It's not like I'm keeping all this a secret, hell my family knows I'm planning on leaving, just didn't tell them it was permanant.

It's not just cause of my psycho finance I'm leaving, just there's nothing here, and I know what ya'll are thinking. "With the way the economy is, it's not a good idea." Well if those of you haven't realized, no matter where you go, whether it's California, Texas, New York, Japan, Russia, or whereever, the problem will still be there, so it's not like things are gonna go from bad to worse when it's already worse. Besides, it's time I start living and thinking for myself. I spent my entire life being told how things are supposed to be and how it's done. ANd led to believe if it ain't done like this, then it's 'politically incorrect', that I'll look like a idiot, a racist, no one will want anything to do with me. NEWS FLASH, no one really has anything to do with me at all. Thanks to my 'finance', I have to sneak to see my friends (yeah, she thinks f*ck all my friends, girls AND guys).

But thanks to her, I decided that maybe I shouldn't give anyone a chance, I was one of those people that thinks it's what's on the inside that counts, and cause of that, I gave any girl (if I'm single) a chance, go out on a date or something. Just to find myself dating (and pardon me if I sound shallow, hell, think what u want) girls that that have:
Low self-esteem
doesn't like how they look (most of them were overweight)
find everyone one I'm around as a threat
want to get married in less than a year

NO F*CKING MORE, so I may look shallow cause I'm going for girls that are the opposite, I frankly don't care anymore, if I find myself single for the rest of my life cause I ain't giving women like the above a try, so be it. It's not like the ungratful bastards of society are accomplishing anything new, I've bascially been by myself most of my life.

wow...I never once let it out like that, kinda crazy, but I guess this is stuff I've been holding in for a long time. I don't know what I'll run into when I venture off on my own, all I ask for is a place where I feel like I belong, where I feel like I don't stand out like a 10 foot asian in a green speed-o. A normal life, or at least in my eyes, normal...never once have I felt normal, now instead of trying to be rich or famous or see the entire world, I would be happy just to have a beautiful wife (in my eyes a beautiful wife, sorry to those that have been there for me, but this is my decision), children and a good paying job to support them all. In the end, that's all I want.

That's what I want to accomplish once I'm done with this journey into hell on earth, but of coasre there is some stuff that I feel should be done.
There are those that have gave me nothing but trouble since day one, did what they can to pull me down and ruin what little I have, and refuse to stop. Talk sh*t, threatin me, act like they're billy bad asses cause they have a extra guy or two to kick my ass and say it's fair, but when I have the upper hand, they say sh*t like, "We're real men, we don't need this that or other." Well since they're gonna be like that, REAL MEN WOULD FACE THEIR ENEMY, NO MATTER WHAT THEIR ENEMY THROWS AT THEM. We did not win our wars through tea and bread and talkin sh*t.

Because of this, I'll give those people a chance to fight me, cause I know one of them if not more are reading this. No strings, or anything like that, just a good old fashion fight, however, if those people do not accept my proposal, I better not hear a damn thing from any of them ever again.

I know I've changed, the world has changed, for the good?....I doubt it, but it's one of those things we need to just suck it up. I know there's probably more questions than answers, but now people know how I feel.

till next time.

Just curious and confused, some of his pics look like him, then some don't. (with all due respect) What leads you to believe this may be Kevin Sweat? His blog is definitely scary but I wasn't positive that it was Kevin. Can you give me a clue???

Murder case files reveal gruesome details

OSBI agent believes remains found in burn pile are Ashley Taylor

By HERMAN BROWN
Daily Times editor

Official documents in the first degree murder case against Kevin Joe Sweat reveal gruesome details in the apparent death of Ashley Celeste Taylor.
Defendant Kevin Sweat allegedly told lawmen that he cut the victim’s throat July 17th and pushed her into Nichols Park lake. However, an extensive search of the lake did not produce the 23-year-old Okmulgee woman’s body.
Sweat also told lawmen he burned notebooks and video tapes in a fire on the north side of his father’s residence near Weleetka. A search of that site by OPD officers and OSBI agents uncovered adult human bones and pieces of prescription eye glasses consistent with Ashley Taylor’s glasses. The lawmen also recovered pieces of female clothing from the burn pile. These and other faces are outlined in public records in Okfuskee County district court clerk’s office. Together, they provide enough evidence to convince prosecutors to file a formal murder charge against Sweat. The defendant remains in the Okmulgee County Jail and is being held without bond. At some point, he could be transferred to the Okfuskee County Jail.
On Friday, OSBI agent Kurt Titsworth revealed the following facts in an affidavit filed in Okfuskee County district court clerk’s office:
On July 30, 2011, Okmulgee Police Chief, Joe Prentice requested OSBI investigative assistance in the disappearance of Ashley Taylor, WF, DOB: 11/08/87.
On July 29, 2011, Ashley's mother, Patricia Taylor reported Ashley missing to the Okmulgee Police Department. Patricia last saw Ashley on July 15, 2011 in Okmulgee. Ashley told Patricia that she and her boy friend Kevin Sweat were traveling to Louisiana on Sunday, July 17, 2011 to get married. Ashley and Kevin had planned to return home on July 29. 2011. Ashley had told Patricia that after she and Kevin got married she would call her. Patricia never heard from Ashley.
