already mentioned in previous thread:

Rudy Croes has found a new temporary PG:

Robert Pietersz

http://www.24ora.com/content/view/5056/18/

haven't read a full article about it. it is not in a dutch language paper yet.

all i now know about him is that he is the former head of the advisory board of the Governor of the Antilles.
and before that he was the PG of the Antilles.

don't know if he has been approved by the kingdom yet.
July 1st Nico Jörg leaves.
I read some where last night that he will be AG on aruba for 6 months and he starts work June 23rd IIRC.

you are right, he starts work june 23rd. appointment is for 6 months.

his appointment was approved last friday.

http://www.minbzk.nl/onderwerpen/de-nederlandse/114135/benoeming_3

he has been:

*judge at the Common Court Antilles/Aruba (80s, early 90s?)
*procureur general of the Antilles (before 1998)
*vice-chairman of the advisory board to the governor of the Antilles (chairman of that board is the governor himself). (at least since 1998)

*as far as i know he is still general counsel to the Bank of the Antilles.

Klaas...I just got off the phone with Beach Patrol...talked with someone different than yesterday...but, someone I have talked with before in the past....I was trying to see if they have computer records of the current Eagle Beach assault on record yet...he was doing some checking for me...couldn't find that one...BUT...he did find a record from 9 days ago...of another assault reported by an AMERICAN woman by the name of xxxxxxxxxxxx...who was staying at the Marriott...this woman filed a report with beach patrol that she was assauled at the Marriot...don't know if inside or out...the hotel...he told me to call back in half an hour to talk with someone else...also said this woman is 38 yrs old...and it does not sound like the first woman at all...that first woman was staying at the Holiday Inn...

WTF is going on????

Destiny....will email her name to you in a second...gonna go smoke a ciggy...

So, by the admission of ALE and the Beach Patrol, there have been two American tourists raped on the beach within the past 10 days.  This is just outrageous.  We need to really publicize these two rapes in Washington.  I supposed the 38 year old woman was also asking for it.  American women are not safe on the crappy island. I am furious and I'm sending more emails.

I just sent an email to Senator Joe Biden who is Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.  I asked for official warnings for all American citizens traveling to Aruba.  The basis for my request was Natalee Holloway, drugs, thefts, and rape.  I reminded him that there is no protection for American citizens traveling to Aruba.

Senator Joseph Biden, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. His email is from his website at - http://biden.senate.gov/contact/  .  Follow the instructions on the webpage.  He is the senator from Delaware.  There is an email form to send messages.  If they get enough messages maybe they will pay attention.

I'm pretty sure that Judge Witt is retired. Judge Smit should be too. He's fairly well-healed and a buddy of PvdS. I think the two may be in cahoots with money laundering in the Caribbean.

Firefighters Drain Lake in Search for Natalee
Tuesday, July 26, 2005
Associated Press

ORANJESTAD, Aruba  —

Aruban firefighters were draining a lake Tuesday in the search for an Alabama teenager who vanished nearly two months ago while vacationing in the island.

Edwin Comemencia, a police spokesman, confirmed that the draining of the lake across from the Marriott Hotel was part of the investigation into Natalee Holloway's (search) disappearance but would not comment further. A jailed Dutch youth has said he was with Holloway in the area the night she disappeared.

The draining was expected to take up to 24 hours.

Earlier Tuesday, Holloway's stepfather, George Twitty (search), said two new witnesses had come forward with information about the night she disappeared.

One witness told investigators that he saw Joran van der Sloot (search), the 17-year-old who has been detained as the main suspect, driving to a nightclub across the road from the Marriott Hotel around 2:30 a.m. the night Holloway disappeared, Twitty said.

The witness said van der Sloot tried to hide his face with his hands as he drove to the Racquet Club with two Surinamese brothers, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe, Twitty said. The Kalpoe brothers were detained as suspects and later released.

The stepfather said the account places the three individuals near the hotel beach where van der Sloot says he left 18-year-old Holloway alone the last night she was seen in public.

"What's interesting is the time — 2:30 a.m. — when the three were supposedly on their way home," said Twitty, referring to their previous accounts to investigators.

The witness, a gardener whose name was not disclosed, gave his account to investigators on Friday, Twitty said.

The Kalpoe brothers first told police that they and van der Sloot dropped Holloway at her hotel around 2 a.m. the morning of May 30. Later, they said they had lied to protect their friend and that they had dropped the Dutch youth and American teen at a beach near the hotel.

A second new witness told a private investigator hired by Holloway's family that she saw van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers drive into the Racquet Club three times that same night. The woman, who lives near the nightclub, has not yet spoken with investigators, he said.

Aruban authorities did not comment on the stepfather's statements.

An attorney for van der Sloot, Richie Kock, said authorities had not told him about the new witnesses. Lawyers for the Kalpoe brothers were not immediately available for comment.

No one has been charged in the case, and van der Sloot is the only suspect still detained.

Holloway vanished after an evening of eating, drinking and dancing at a nightclub which she left with the three young men, hours before she was to catch a flight home to Mountain Brook, Ala., at the end of a graduation trip with 124 classmates.

Court: No DNA in Natalee Case
Saturday, July 30, 2005
Associated Press

ORANJESTAD, Aruba  —

A court ruled Friday that DNA samples collected from the Dutch youth jailed in the disappearance of an Alabama teenager and one of his friends could not be used in a case against them.

No one has been charged in the disappearance of 18-year-old Natalee Holloway (search), who disappeared on the final night of a high school graduation trip to the Dutch Caribbean island. No trace of her has been found.

Joran van der Sloot (search), 17, the only person who remains jailed in the case, has admitted he spent part of the evening with her. He has said through his family and lawyers that he had nothing to do with her disappearance.

The court ruled Friday that prosecutors did not clarify what his DNA samples would be compared with, but said the prosecution could request new DNA samples from van der Sloot if they had documents clarifying what would be used in the comparison.

In the case of Satish Kalpoe (search), van der Sloot's friend who was jailed and then released in the case, the court ruled there was not enough evidence to warrant using the tests.

Also Friday, police and a volunteer group from Texas searched a landfill in hopes of finding clues about what happened to Holloway. Edwin Comenencia, the police spokesman, declined to say what prompted the search.

"So far they have found nothing," he said.

Van der Sloot is the only person detained as a suspect in the case. Satish, 18, and his 21-year-old brother Deepak Kalpoe (search), were previously held and released.

Holloway, from Mountain Brook, Ala., vanished after an evening at a nightclub that she left with the three young men, hours before she was to fly home at the end of the trip with 124 classmates.

Does anyone remember what happened to her?

TJ Ward had identified a lady in the new construction area around the racquet club, that identified the car by the lights.  I think she later changed her mind.  Here is a partial description by TJ Ward.:

T.J. WARD, P.I. FOR HOLLOWAY TWITTY FAMILY: Well, one of the things that I figure that the witness that I found saw the car that was used in the disappearance and on the 28th, 29th and 30th. And it just seemed a little strange to me that a week later the same car shows up three or four times in the same area around that pond.

Those boys were there looking for something. And there's a good possibility that the body could be buried, because there was very, very little water in there around the 29th and 30th of May, and shortly before the storm hit and the hurricane, that's what caused all the water to be there.

Thanks Buckeye...So some-one saw the jogger, and there was a female witness and the gardener that saw them near the Racquet Club.

Also three Racquet Club employees questioned and Sanchez the HI/Racquet Club coach asked for something to be returned from ALE, if in fact that witness is Sanchez and not Sanches!!!

Off the Bench, Mr. Justice Wit has served as Chairman of the Committee of Supervision of the Netherlands Antilles' Prisons and Houses of Detention (1987-1991); Chairman of the Board of Discipline for Medical Doctors (1992-1995); President of the Military Court of the Netherlands Antilles (1992-present); Chairman of the Judicial Working Groups on (a) Videoconferencing in Court and (b) Code of Ethics for the Judiciary (2003-present); and Chairman of the Committee of Supervision of the Security Service of Aruba (2004-present). He has also been a member of the National Committee On Revising the Codes of Criminal Procedure of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba (1987-1998); and Vice-President of the National Committee On Revising the Criminal Code of the Netherlands Antilles (2002-present).

I'm pretty sure that Judge Witt is retired. Judge Smit should be too. He's fairly well-healed and a buddy of PvdS. I think the two may be in cahoots with money laundering in the Caribbean.

This Rick Smid is the same Judge Smid who let Joran out of jail along with the Kalpoes and Freddy during Hurricane Katrina. If anyone would, he would know the ins and outs of money laundering, afterall he was the keynote speaker on money laundering at the Carribean Financial Task Force.

I don't believe Judge Witt is retired.  Rather, he was elevated to the Caribbean Court of Justice on June 1, 2005, right before Natalee went missing.  Makes me question if he had jurisdiction to involve himself in a local case.

The Honourable Mr. Justice Jacob Wit took the Oath of Office as a Judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) at The President's House Port of Spain, on Wednesday 1 June 2005. The oath was administered by His Excellency Professor George Maxwell Richards, President of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.

Thanks Pita....I always questioned that as well, but I have read that he was working both courts! There was a link posted in the Shango thread by JE a while back on all the Judges, but I couldn't get past the first page of Dutch! Maybe Johan or caesu can help explain the process for us?

bb ... when you consider the above quotes you provided as well as Dave's words ... I believe that Natalee Holloway may have been inebriated.

Nevertheless ... I do believe that the last drink which Joran bought for her prior from that little bar in the back of Carlos and Charlies... was spiked with a date rape drug and ... the combination ...

Yes I agree he knew with bars closing that was likely to be the last drink, and spiked it. I actually used to think it possible that maybe the bartenders spiked the drink when given a signal of some sort by Joran. I now feel Joran was the one responsible for the drug being given.

Thanks for the additional quotes Janet.
But what about what Dave said in his book about the bartenders having a special bottle labled women only?I still think there is a possibility that a bartender or 2 from C&C's was drugging females.....for a price.Afterall, joran did have a special VIP pass to get in underaged.I think paulus arranged for that free pass, just like in the casinos, for his underaged son.

already mentioned in previous thread:

Thanks for the info Caesu.
So for each island(aruba, bonair etc)there is a governor and then the rest of the political group.....then there is also another governer/group that oversees the Antilles?Or is aruba also known as the Antilles?
