What is his analysis about why Joran and Paulus felt the need

to say Natalee hit her head... and now have abandoned that

story altogether. How does he feel about that NOW?

The way I see it, Patrick completely ruined his chance to get the "truth" out of Joran by telling him 'if I find out you are guilty - I'll kill YOU'. Of course, Joran is going to make up a story that mitigates his culpability. It also is why he tried to absolve his father to Patrick. It is incredibly naive of Patrick to think Joran told him the exact truth!!

I so agree Wreck. While I appreciate what info he got out of Joran and his help in wrecking Joran's life even worse than it already was, he is not the sharpest crayon in the box. He really missed out on some major details that could have solved the case and landed Joran in prison.

Now wouldn't you as a parent console the younger brother    Why would the younger brother believe what Joran did.  What did they tell him.

One of Jorans younger brothers was incredibly shocked by what Joran had done. This brother yelled at Joran and said he never wanted to talk to him again and ran off with tears of rage in his eyes. Neither of the parents went after the younger brother. They stayed to comfort Joran.

   I have a feeling that Paulus and Anita are going to pay for their parenting/or lack of proper parenting.....for many years to come.

Isn't this typical of Paulus and Anita? Comfort the criminal and let the good ones fend for themselves. They've got it backasswards.

Anita's words confirm that the coverup began prior to Jug and Beth ever arriving on the Island.  According to Anita the authorities picked up Joran from school on Monday, May 30, 2005.

According to Joran van der Sloot ... the first he knew that Natalee Holloway was missing was when his father called him on his cell on the morning of May 31, 2005 to inform him that the Natalee's mother and step-father were at their residence looking for their daughter.  Later that day it was Paulus who picked up Joran from school to take him to the police station for interrogation.

Good Morning Tamikosmom... I posted something, IIRC from Joran's book, a couple of weeks back in reference to a statement on May 30th. 2005. In was to do with what he told the investigaters about the shoe sizes in that statement. I will see if I can find it.

It has always been assumed that Joran, Deepak and Satish were first interrogated within hours of the encounter at the VDS' residence on the morning of May 31, 2005.

However ... Deepak or Satish's Tuesday May 31, 2005 witness statements do not imply anything pertaining to a "choller" which is discussed in the leaked Police van audio recording of Joran, Deepak and Satish's conversation.

I can only assume that the first declaraction mentioned in the audio recording by either Satish or Deepak must have taken place on Monday May 30, 2005 ... prior to the Twitty's setting foot on the Island of Aruba.

Mum ... gotta go but ... will check in later to see what you found out.

One more on the shoes…LOL …from Joran’s book…Joran said these borrowed shoes were only one size smaller shoes, but a few days later he was asked to take off the size 10.5 shoes!!!

May 30th.,he stated he was wearing a size 14!! Must be a typo!!

…..And that he now was wearing borrowed K-Swiss shoes from a cell-mate and that these were one size smaller than the ones he had lost at the beach. The shoes he lost had a size 14. Joran also told me about a small riot in the KIA, which caused everyone to have a more severe detention.

During interrogation Joran is asked to take off his shoes. "Why are you now wearing size 10.5, while you stated that on May 30th you were wearing size 14?", they asked him. Joran says, "that's because of the difference between English and American shoes sizes, but i don't tell them."

I think the truth would have been simple and a trip to the mental hospital much less dramatic for everyone.  I think it possible that those responsible might even be walking around as free people, if they had told the truth that first week Natalee went missing.  imho

And wasn't it Paulus who said he couldn't remember whether or not Joran went to school.  This is why Joran keeps stressing that he father has a bad memory.  They are covering all grounds.  All they will say is that he got his days mixed up.

I always believed that Joran never went to school Monday.  In my head it is impossible.  You just murdered someone in your home and you go to school.  Satish did not go to school and neither did Joran.  JMO.

San ... I tend to believe that Joran DID go to school on Monday but ... he did not go with his brothers on the bus.

1.  Joran's teacher declared he was at school.
2.  Anita claimed he was picked up by the "police" from the school.
3.  Dave Holloway claims that the bus picked up Joran near Lorenzo's residence.

However ... I could be wrong.

On May 30th 2005, in the nightly hours, I did not pick up Joran from anywhere. I slept solidly through the night without waking up. On May 30th in the hours of the morning, I did not notice anything different/out of the ordinary with Joran. According to me he got onto the bus of the I.S.A. with his brothers Sebastian and Valentijn just like he always does. I am not absolutely sure about that because I didn't notice it and because Joran didn't have to be at school every day during that period. He was busy with his final exams and sometimes he stayed home.

To your question how it then is possible that I had not seen Joran
get onto the bus, I can state the following. Of course I see the children get onto the bus and that also is true for Joran. But unlike Valentijn and Sebastian who went with the bus everyday Joran didn't go with the bus once or twice during that period. But I do not remember exactly which days he did not go with the bus. It could be that it was that Monday.
 
Most likely I informed the bus driver that Joran would not be going with the bus. A clue to the fact that Joran did not go to school that Monday could be that on Tuesday I insisted that he went to school that day.

I had slept the entire time the bus took to get to school.

On Monday, May 30th 2005, I did not talk to anyone at school about having left behind Natalee. Approximately 14.45 pm, I got back onto the school bus to be driven home. I arrived at home at approximately 16.00 pm.

I can tell you with certainty that Joran was in school Monday, May 30, 2005. On that day he had helped with moving some school cabinets and folders, because the school is busy with moving to a new building. This may have been done in his free hours, I am not certain of this. Also I can remember that he had become on sick on two days, and he went towards the medical center, which we have at school. This was on Monday, May 30, 2005 and Tuesday, May 31, 2005 this happened. I cannot say with certainty how he leaves school or how he came. He certainly would have come by bus because his mother was absent. The only students who can come with their own vehicles to school are those who have a driver’s license. How he leaves I cannot say with certainty because I am inside when the students depart. But there is an attendance record that you can examine. If he had asked to leave it would certainly be mentioned.

DAVE: Joran was allegedly dropped off at a bus stop on the main highway. The bus driver had not made it there yet and saved Paulus about 30 minutes. Lorenzo's house was nearby.

I had the same problem a while back.  Sometimes the problem fixed itself if I refreshed the page or ... just shut my computer down and ... booted it up again.

Anyways ... youngest son knew what was the cause.  It is something called "cookies".  I think he said he "deleted my cookies".

 

Anyways ...I have had no problems since.
