Finngirl posted this in Shango the other day...Thanks Finn...Anita tells of Joran kicking his brothers!!!

On 7-12 MSNBC reported:

SCARBOROUGH: You are looking at pictures of Joran van der Sloot. He's in the back seat of a Police car with his head down, leaving the Aruban courthouse. Obviously, Aruba and America focused on this young man, the key suspect in the case.

ANITA VAN DER SLOOT: Joran is a 17-year-old teenager. He is a fantastic tall guy. He's a sporter. He plays tennis on the island, soccer, volley ball, softball. He is a boy who will come out of his bed and give his mom a hug. And, hi mom. How are you? Have a nice day. He is a very warm young boy.

SCARBOROUGH: What has he told you about Natalee?

VAN DER SLOOT: He hasn't told me anything, because, on the Monday, he went to school, like any normal boy. And he wasn't aware of—he was totally surprised when the Police asked him to come to the—or picked him up for interrogation. He was totally surprised. He really thought that the girl would be safe in the hotel and there was no reason to talk about her at all.

SCARBOROUGH: You know, there are a lot of parents, obviously, that obviously would never want to be in this sort of situation. But if you are in this sort of situation, what do you, what do your husband tell your son to get him through these difficult times?

VAN DER SLOOT: You know, we have three children, two in teenage ages.

And we always tell the kids to tell the truth, to—and Joran is not a—he is a good child, but he is, of course, not a model child, because he has his mistakes. And he cheated, and he kicks his brothers, and he does things any ordinary 17-year-old teenager would do, but we always try to talk.

We are a very close family. We spend a lot of time talking about problems in the world. We look at news. We see things happen that are evil and that are wrong, and we warn the kids about drugs, about alcohol, the consequences that are there. Throughout the education at the international school, a lot of time is spent there, too, to make the kids conscious about all kind of risks they can take or not—they cannot take, and about responsibility, about respect for others.

We are living on a multicultural island, and we always try to raise the kids with—see what's in the heart of people. Don't focus on the outside. Listen to people. Be respectful.

SCARBOROUGH: Right.

VAN DER SLOOT: If they go out, be careful. Don't go out alone.

Always go with friends. Be aware that things can happen.

Anita's words confirm that the coverup began prior to Jug and Beth ever arriving on the Island.  According to Anita the authorities picked up Joran from school on Monday, May 30, 2005.

According to Joran van der Sloot ... the first he knew that Natalee Holloway was missing was when his father called him on his cell on the morning of May 31, 2005 to inform him that the Natalee's mother and step-father were at their residence looking for their daughter.  Later that day it was Paulus who picked up Joran from school to take him to the police station for interrogation.

J: Yeah, but that would have been a shame, Patrick.
P: Yeah, it makes it even more difficult you know?
J: Yeah, and I’ve never known everything, you know.
P: What do you  mean, never knew everything?
J: Yeah, I knew what happened, but you know…I can’t say anything about that. You can’t do that. You can’t jeopordize those OTHER PEOPLE right?
P: What other people…there was only one right?
J: Yes……Daury. I don’t want to cause trouble for him.
P: And your father knows as well, man.
J: My father doesn’t know at all. My father has….he knows nothing. He knows nothing about any of this. That’s the worst part of it all. That man would die, he wouldn’t be able to deal with this. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. My father is weak.

Klaas,
Please check your hotmail when you have time.

TIA

Got your email but when I tried to respond I got a delivery error.  The answer to your email is YES, 100% positive YES.  No surprise to me, have known it for months.  Jan Brennan aka Medleyrelay has an online book on the case.  The software that she has used for her online book was created or supplied by Roger/Scrux.

Thanks Klaas....I knew I had been to that page before a while ago...for some reason!

The way I see it, Patrick completely ruined his chance to get the "truth" out of Joran by telling him 'if I find out you are guilty - I'll kill YOU'. Of course, Joran is going to make up a story that mitigates his culpability. It also is why he tried to absolve his father to Patrick. It is incredibly naive of Patrick to think Joran told him the exact truth!!

Just MO here but I don't think Joran considered the threat from Patrick to kill him was a serious one at all. I almost suspect with Joran this type of talk is common place. Seems I recall the police car talk between Joran and Deepak contained all sorts of threats from killing and "getting guns" on down.

Maybe Anita was told to say he went to school.  Then Paulus says he can't remember.  How would Anita know if she was in Holland.  Did she contact her friend the head master.

Why hasn't the headmaster been questioned.

I woke up Valentijn and Sebastian and I also said to Joran that he had to go to school even though he wasn't in the mood to go. I know that I insisted that he should go. A reason for that might be that he had already not gone to school on Monday. I then left for work. I think it was approximately 7.30 hours when I called the headmaster of the International School. I had told him that Joran had not slept all night and asked for him to be understanding just in case Joran was feeling sleepy.

Hi Mum

It has always been assumed that Joran, Deepak and Satish were first interrogated within hours of the encounter at the VDS' residence on the morning of May 31, 2005.

However ... Deepak or Satish's Tuesday May 31, 2005 witness statements do not imply anything pertaining to a "choller" which is discussed in the leaked Police van audio recording of Joran, Deepak and Satish's conversation.

I can only assume that the first declaraction mentioned in the audio recording by either Satish or Deepak must have taken place on Monday May 30, 2005 ... prior to the Twitty's setting foot on the Island of Aruba.

Mum ... gotta go but ... will check in later to see what you found out.

J says to D: My friend, it was me that helped you with that shit / the matter of the choller.
D says to J: I said that too.
J says to D: I didn’t read that, I also read the declaration.
S says to J: The thing about the choller was from me.
D or S says to J: That’s what I just said.
D or S says to J: I also said that in my first declaration. I did that for myself.

I stand with the girl, Natalee Holloway.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.
