Anybody remember an article from last year (August?) where the Dutch Youth Specialists were interviewed? They talked about how great they worked together with ALE and how satisfied they were with the outcome of the Joran interrogations. I've been looking for it but cannot find it now.

Monkeys..

I just hope this statement (from the "Amigoe (9/6/06): No Friction Between Croes and Remkes" article from the font page) does NOT mean that the Dutch are not going to do anything in Aruba untill after September??
Quote
“I would have loved to meet Remkes in person.”  Croes wanted to thank Remkes in person for his promised cooperation in the collaboration protocol between police corpses of both countries and the assistance in the investigation on the disappeared Natalee Holloway.   He is very pleased that he is going to the Netherlands in the third week of September and can still meet with Remkes.  “I can then thank him in person.”  That’s when the protocol is going to be signed.

Then again  nothing like give people a "HEADS-UP" and when is KJ leaving??
 Smile

That's excactly how I felt!  Why wait?  We need you to investigate now!!!!  It's already late!

Found this:

http://tinyurl.com/k2f4z

....
“The Arubans had already done a tremendous amount of work,” Hans states, “both in a qualitative and in a quantitative way. There was already a lot on paper. Some Aruban colleagues had worked on the case for 80 days straight. The result of it was plain to see.”

Were you able to add anything to this? Yes, is undoubtedly the reply, although especially the interrogations provided few new facts. But isn’t this your specialty? “Sure,” Hans states, “We looked for new facts and circumstances in all statements made. This turned up a lot.” But the case has not been solved. Was it worthwhile? And are you satisfied? Hans: “Of course suspects who are unwilling to make a statement are extremely frustrating, and the fact that the girl has not been found also makes us feel very unsatisfied. Of course, this is very tragic for the family in particular. But the FBI, following the case from a distance, stated that it would not have acted differently than we did. That is a very nice compliment....

Buckeye...that's it. Great find!

This latest attempt by Aruba to request Dutch assistance has been presented in a very, very political manner so i thought this article would be a good reference.

Is this an attempt by Aruba to avoid responsibilty by having the Dutch stamp "case closed"? A quote from the article indicates that they have been trying to do this as far back as last August...before Joran was even released.

"Ron de Ruiter of the Team of Detectives of Utrecht South in formation, Hans Burgwal of JJZ Paardeneveld, and Wim Henzen of the Criminal Investigative Department finish some formalities and then formally close the Natalee Holloway Case."

OFF TOPIC

Mrs Red, I was reading on aol news about the murders in a town near Bethel Maine.
http://articles.news.aol.com/news/_a/guest-charged-in-horrific-killing-spree/20060905073909990006?ncid=NWS00010000000001

What a shocker. When we lived in Maine I think it had the lowest crime rate in the nation. A great place to raise children. I am so glad we were able to raise our children there. I imagine it still has a low crime rate.
JMHO

Sam... since I always bust Jacquie... I have to bust you... he was on the front page too....  Laughing  Laughing

Actually it has changed a lot... there is quite a bit of crime... it isn't an ideal place for kids anymore, IMO.  For one thing, the population is "older" without kids and they tend to vote out anything positive for schools and community centers that allow kids.  There are something like 25 senior centers within a 30 mile radius... and nothing to do for the kids... and that is causing problems...

There is a huge drug problem in a lot of the areas... heroin is a big problem.. even in some of the exclusive areas.

If you want to talk about it off the board, we can.... just email me...

Also from the Dutch interrogaters article...

The headline reads, "The FBI would not have acted differently".

Who from the FBI said this? A quote from inside the article proves the headline disingeniuous.

"But the FBI, FOLLOWING THE CASE FROM A DISTANCE, stated that it would not have acted differently".

And you would be correct Kat Gram. From the article..."Of course suspects who are unwilling to make a statement are extremely frustrating."

Also related to the goon..."The suspects behavior was so exceptional that Bram thought assistance in the interrogations was required".

I believe her "term" was up in November?  Speculation is that she has vacation time coming to her and could leave sooner.

Oh boy Peaches hope it's not a root canal...

Is your tooth sensitive to hot or cold?

If not, it could be that the root is dead...OUCH....i just had one over 4th of July week end...

Hope it's just a bad cavity!

Thank you...
I May losing it ...but not over the edge yet  Shocked

Just wondering...
Dutch coming in... some protocol is going to be signed in late September with Aruba and Holland (that I think applies to the Dutch taking over the investigation) and Justice-minister Rudy Croes asked for this to happen when ??

Just wondering
