I believe that everyone responsible for his own behavior
The parents are responsible for an underage person as Joran.
They let him go his own way  and he came  in contact with the wrong friends. Freddy, 2 K's and the Pittbull and I think Mr. pink and other (drugs & sex)freaks who live on that terrible "wild west"  island .
Why was joran hanging around HI?
Was he a dealer there ?  was he  looking for fun chickies?
Was he searching for  ladies for   porno movies? What did he there ?
Why let  his parents him go  to the casino and had a VIP card for C & C? a 17 years old boy !
Did they know in fact of his drink and drugs addiction?
Pa vd Sl worked " hard"  and Mon  a little painting? i think they had and have  no Grip on Joran
When I now see the photos of his brother he will be a second Joran
I think Paulas rule is crucial in this case
What had Paulas to  hide (evidence) when search had to be done?
What is the role of Vocking  and "bobbie" the  wit?
why is he a simple lawyer now again and not a judge? isn't that strange ? back to zero

So I wonder what happened to VvdS going to college in Mass? I should think he would already have been on his way........classes should be starting.

If he and Maki Wiggins are still planning on going to Emerson College...they still have a few days left to party before leaving.  Probably a lot of "going away" celebrations!

Zero is right, Johan. It was Nico Jorg who said something like...how can a father arrange meetings, make plans and give legal advice to J2K during those 10 days with the result being the solidification of a fake story?

Interestingly enough, wasn’t Joran Van der Sloot underage to drink at Carlos N’ Charlies in 2005 when Joran, Deepak and Satish road off with Natalee Holloway and she was never to be seen again? I do not remember him ever receiving this king of treatment by the security or bouncers. In fact, Aruba knew he was underage and allowed him in casinos and night clubs without any concern. In fact they embraced it. So why is it that tourists would receive a different brand of treatment and justice? Since when does being under age get you a greater beating than, oh … let’s say participating in a homicide?

Any American that will go to aruba now,deserves a beating. Senor Frogs, BEAT HIM ONCE FOR ME.
As far as I care you can beat up every american tourist that comes to your P.O.S. of an island.

It seems to me that it should actually be "less than zero" considering that he smuggled a cellphone into KIA to a murder suspect.  Only in Aruba!

Maybe it's just me...but even if my family had a timeshare in Aruba, if I was one of Natalee's classmates...and I HAD to go there for family reasons...You wouldn't catch me in the club where she disappeared from...much less in the same pic with a Sloot!  JMO

It was Mezcal, the restaurant owner who comped many a meal to Equusearch and who reacted furiously when the governor called for a boycott.

He said in a message of Oct 19, 2005 2:46: "I personally know 3 bartenders of C&C and ALL 3 of them have stated to the police that this happened. No need in denying it because C&C had the security tapes delivered the next day (the decided nit to wait for a month or two)"

Yes Kermit, that is what I was looking for.  I had it saved but wasn't sure of the source.

I was interested in this "No need in denying it because C&C had the security tapes delivered the next day (the decided nit to wait for a month or two)"

Over the years the security tapes from C&C have come up a number of time.  From memory, many have stated the for SOME reason, the security tapes at this C&C were broken/non-functional at the time Natalee & JVDS were there that night.

Wasn't C&C the success story that was put on the internet web site of the PR/crisis management company?  The one that was on Aruba to 'help' within like 72 hours after Natalee was known to be missing?

tatoo and dingy were berthed near the airport that night per mezcal. so they would need to go over there in a vehicle, lug the dead body on borad and find the keys to the boat. too many people and too many pssible witnesses. there have ben no witnesses caliming any nocturnal boat ride. the boats show on radar too.

Was the Aruba airport a 24/7 operation in May/June of 2005?  Was it closed in the early morning hours?  How many witnesses to boat traffice would there be at the airport?

Did JVDS claim a nocturnal boat ride recently?

With the Soul Beach Festival that ended a few hours earlier, IIRC, there was quite a bit of unusual boat traffic in those days before and after Natalee disappeared.  Was all this traffic accounted for by the radar?

Would there be no witness, or witnesses to many boats?  What about boats from the festival?

What about the power outage the island had several days after Natalee disappeared?  Did it affect the radar?  Could someone have moved a body by boat that night?  Who would see?
