"She has to pay for some of the stuff that she put herself through and put her daughter through," George Anthony said.

Charges Filed Against Mother Of Missing Orlando Girl
DNA Results From Trunk Of Car Expected

POSTED: 12:31 pm EDT August 5, 2008
UPDATED: 2:12 pm EDT August 5, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The state attorney's office filed official charges against the mother of a missing Orlando girl Tuesday as a search for the missing child continues.

Charges of felony child neglect and making false statements to authorities were filed against the Casey Anthony, 22, in connection with the disappearance of her daughter Caylee, 2, Local 6 reported.

The charges come after Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, said immunity is a "moot point," in the case, Local 6's Jessica Sanchez said.

Baez said earlier there were informal discussions but nothing was put on paper and no offers were made.

"I was contacted and we spoke about it but there was not formal letter offered or sent," Baez said.

Child's Grandmother Cancels Meeting

Meanwhile, Caylee's grandmother, Cindy Anthony, apparently canceled a scheduled meeting Tuesday with her daughter at the Orange County Jail. A reason for the cancellation was not known.

Cindy and husband, George, Anthony met with investigators Monday concerning the search for Caylee.

"It was a meeting at our request just to touch base with them and see where we are all at," Cindy Anthony said.

No information was released about the private meeting but detectives continue to deny the existence of a mysterious baby sitter who Casey Anthony has claimed was last with her daughter.

Also, DNA results concerning a mysterious stain and hair samples from Casey Anthony's car are due any day this week, Local 6 has learned.

Mom May Be Back In Court

Casey Anthony may be back in court in the next 24 hours.

Local 6 has learned that the defense could ask for a hearing where prosecutors would be forced to reveal the evidence they've gathered against Casey Anthony.

A national search for the child continues.

Here is what the Anthony's are doing with your donations...

Rather than donating them to kids in need.

The Anthony family was seen throwing out a number of stuffed animals, Tuesday, but Lee Anthony said those were toys that had been donated to the family during the ordeal, and none belonged to Caylee.

They know, they must.  If they thought there was a chance Caylee would come home alive they wouldn't be throwing out the stuffed animals.  They'd save them to show Caylee how much everyone cared and how much everyone wanted her to come home.  Makes no sense to throw them out and not donate them anyway.  These people make me sick.

Surely George being a former police detective has heard of

Project Smile

http://www.projectsmile.org/

snip
Project Smile is a federally tax exempt non-profit organization which donates new and previously owned stuffed animals, coloring books/crayons, small toys and children's reading books for police officers, fire fighters and paramedics to give to children. The goal of Project Smile is to provide all emergency responders throughout New England and eventually throughout the nation, with a continual supply of comfort items to help ease the pain and fear of traumatized children.

The family was probably afraid police had planted a listening device in one of them................

I said that as a smart azz, but it wouldn't have been a bad idea, IMO!

Thanks for finding that Carpe. I know you got my back! LOL!

Whether these were donations or not, it's terrible. What a callous slap in the face to anyone who may have donated them. They could have given them to a hospital if they didn't want them.

Formal State Criminal Charges Filed in Missing Florida Toddler Case, DNA Tests Complete

Tuesday, August 05, 2008

The Florida State's Attorney office filed formal criminal charges Tuesday against the mother of missing Orlando toddler Caylee Anthony, FOX News has learned.

Casey Marie Anthony, 22, was charged with one felony and one misdemeanor offense, in addition to the child neglect charge she already faced. She will be arraigned on the criminal charges.

Also Tuesday, test results from DNA samples taken from a car driven by Anthony came in and were turned over to investigators, FOX News has learned.

The evidence was gathered from the trunk of a vehicle that Anthony was using when her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie Anthony vanished in mid-June.

Other DNA samples were taken from the backyard of Anthony's parents' house, where she lived with her little daughter until about the time the girl disappeared. It took Casey Anthony more than a month to report the child missing, which she did on July 15. Caylee was last seen on or around June 15.

Detectives reported smelling a strong odor of human decomposition in the car trunk after cadaver dogs led them there. They said they also found hair samples similar to those of Caylee Marie Anthony.

Casey's mother Cindy Anthony, the child's grandmother, said the trunk in question smelled like a dead body when she called 911 to report her granddaughter missing. She also asked emergency dispatchers that her daughter be taken into custody.

Authorities from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were analyzing the DNA results, but the media was told Monday that they won't necessarily be guaranteed immediate access to the data.

Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesman Carlos Padilla said police will decide what results to release and when.

Cindy Anthony had planned an early afternoon visit Tuesday with her daughter in prison, but it was canceled for unspecified reasons. Her father, George Anthony, visited her on Sunday.

Casey Anthony remains jailed on a $500,000 bond, charged only with child neglect, false statements to police and obstructing an investigation. She is considered a person of interest in the case. She claims that Caylee was taken by a babysitter, who also vanished.

Dozens attended a weekend vigil for the missing Orlando tot, who turns 3 on Friday.

Caylee's mom has promised that her little girl would be home by her birthday on Aug. 9.

Last week, a judge denied another petition to lower Anthony's bond. Her attorney, Jose Baez, will file another appeal to the state Supreme Court, according to MyFOXOrlando.com.

Police say that little Casey Anthony has told them has proven to be true. Her friends have described her as a "habitual liar."
