They better have more to say than last week, otherwise I'll need a new TV after throwing my chair through it!

Casey Anthony is 'the key to this investigation,' Caylee investigators say
Amy L. Edwards

Sentinel Staff Writer

6:06 PM EDT, August 4, 2008

An Orange County sheriff's spokesman held a late-afternoon press conference today regarding Caylee Marie Anthony's disappearance but released no new information on the case.

Capt. Angelo Nieves said investigators are doing everything they can and said Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, is "the key to this investigation."

"She knows what she did. She knows what time was the last time she saw the child, who she may have left the child with," Nieves said. "Our concern is to find Caylee, who will be 3 years old on Saturday."

Cindy and George Anthony - Caylee's grandparents - were back at the Orange County Sheriff's Office this morning, where they spoke with investigators for several hours.

Nieves wouldn't comment on evidence that has been taken from the Anthony's home or the lab results from the items.

Meanwhile, Casey Anthony, 22, remains in the Orange County Jail. Investigators believe Casey Anthony knows more than she is saying about her 2-year-old daughter's whereabouts.

Spokesman Confirms Immunity Inquiry For Anthony
Grandparents Try To Establish Timeline Of Events In Case

POSTED: 11:32 am EDT August 4, 2008
UPDATED: 6:17 pm EDT August 4, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The State Attorney's Office confirmed Monday afternoon that someone asked about immunity for Casey Anthony, the mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony.

They will neither confirm nor deny that the inquiry came from her attorney, Jose Baez.

State Attorney spokesman Randy Means released the following statement: "We are not entertaining immunity for anyone involved in this case."

Baez denies asking for immunity for Casey Anthony.

He did want to go before the Florida Supreme Court this week to get his client's bond lowered, but he has to produce a written opinion in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals before he can do that.

The Anthonys talked with Baez at his Kissimmee office Monday for nearly three hours. He said it was all about the search for the missing toddler.

Baez said he doesn't know where Caylee is, and that if he did, he and the Anthonys would have her home.

Meanwhile, Caylee's grandparents once again met with investigators at the Orange County Sheriff's Office on Monday.

George and Cindy Anthony left their East Orange County home at about 9:15 a.m. and didn't leave the sheriff's office until around noon.

One investigator said the Anthonys were trying to help better establish the timeline of events in their granddaughter's disappearance.

George Anthony said that he and his wife are assisting investigators in any way to bring Caylee home.

Mother Casey Anthony's on-again-off-again boyfriend, Jesse Brund, backpedaled on his statement he made earlier that he heard Caylee in the background of a phone call with Casey Anthony on June 24. He now says he wasn't 100 percent sure he heard Caylee in that phone call, so the Anthonys would have been the last ones to see Caylee alive on June 16.

Casey Anthony continues to be held on $500,000 bond on charges of child neglect at the Orange County Jail.

The clock is ticking for prosecutors, who have until Aug. 17 to file charges, or Casey Anthony would be entitled to a release from jail while she awaits possible prosecution. Her mother expressed frustration, that her daughter continues to get a black eye in the court of public opinion.

"She's already tried and convicted. Whatever happened to innocent until found guilty? Right now she's not charged with anything," Cindy Anthony said.

Over the past few weeks, the investigation into Caylee's disappearance has taken authorities to the back yard of the Anthony home and inside Casey Anthony's car.

The back yard dig turned up no signs of Caylee, but strands of hair believed to belong to the toddler were found in Casey Anthony's car. The results of those lab tests are expected by the end of the week.

More than 600 tips have come into CrimeLine about the young girl -- 100 of which were received over this past weekend.

So it looks like no info on the testing will be released. What do we do now? How will we know what they find?  This chicky can't stand not knowing.

I think when they get all their ducks in a row they'll let us know the results of the DNA testing, but not until then.  In any case, I think we will know and I don't think it will be much longer because i think they are going to charge Casey soon.  When they charge her we'll know the results of the DNA, IMO.
