HI. MisGivings here again.
Did anyone answer my question as to where I might find the recent GMA interview with the Aruban wonderboy?
I haven't had the stamina to read back through the posts to find out.
Major medical crap happening with me since I turned 50.
It just plain sucks!

TIA

sorry, am I bad? Back when I was younger I had a friend who kept a "bomb" list and a "slap" list, the latter being the first rung of having offended her.

I think K2 and Joran might have bypassed your slap list  Laughing

Your oncologist sounds like a truly good man, keep pushing Peaches, we're proud of you.

Hi Appeals ! Go help Leslie do battle at GMA, those of us in the south aren't allowed to register, it's true - I tried to!

Hi NONE, so good to see you.  You might want to try again, there is someone posting from Dixie and saying Bama just wants our girl back.  Sounds like south to me.  There must be a way, FWIW.  Are you doing better, I hope?  Things over at that site seem poorly organized to me, and maybe I was at the wrong thread, but it was about the latest GMA interview, and it seemed to pretty much have died down.  If I am wrong, just head me in the right direction!

MIS, sorry to heard you're having medical issues, getting older can be daunting, don't I know!

Go to the ABCNews.com site, and then click on the GMA icon, and it will take you to the page where the Joran interview links are, if I remember correctly.  Don't know if it is the verbatim interview though cause I had seen it when it aired and didn't read all they had up there.

And what possible reason would the Gottenbos family have for coming to the US? Didn't the father have a business or practice of some kind? That kind of career is no so easily transferred to another country.

Moving to Holland, maybe, but the US...

What US connections would they have?

IF they have some degree of guilt in the case, why move to the very "belly of the beast" where they might be easily accessed by American law enforcement (FBI)?

That does not strike me as being very smart, unless for some reason they consider the US to be more of a "safe harbor" than Aruba or Holland.

Another quick point and then I need to go.

Why is it that all the principals in this case look like such faceless, powerless family-next-door non-entities at first glance... and then turn out to have all these hidden connections and clout that is not self-evident at first?

They're getting it from SOMEWHERE.  Wink

A quick white pages search turns up a lot of people with the Gottenbos name.  Most seem to be in California.  Maybe some family ties in the states?

The van Cromvoirt family packs up and leaves Aruba, the Gottenbos family leaves Aruba, Guido Weaver immediately left Aruba.  Who else?  Jossy has mentioned people quickly leaving Aruba before ALE could speak with them.  Any ideas about who else left in a hurry?

Joran left within hours of getting out of jail.

The gardner witness was deported.

GMA won't let me register either.  I think the ones from the southeast posting were already registered before the Joran interview for it rejects us now for use.  This is how many from just this forum so far??

Another angle on GMA is what newspaper are they affiliated with for I do believe USAToday refuses to tell the truth about the crime stats and rate for Aruba for fear of losing some of the millions they, AHATA and Aruban Gov, are pouring into their new advertising campaign--you know the one that is all that is needed to restore their tourism for it being down has nothing to do with Natalee Holloway or the boycott, right?  Just ask them!

But this thing with GMA is rather blatant.  They should be ashamed and I do think it is deliberate.  Don't want to see the bad press or negative responses to their little puff piece for Poor Joran!

Klaas,
So the guy in the photos would be the DJ Paul and not the RedWingFan/pornographer Paul?

For some reason I am having a very difficult time keeping my cast of characters straight lately.  Too many of them for one thing.

Hey y'all,

I don't know what the deal is with GMA, but I just went over there and it let me register. Maybe it's only certain zip codes it has a problem with? Mine is in southeastern Tennessee, so maybe that's not considered southern by them?  Laughing

For anybody having trouble registering at GMA, I have a theory on "way around" but don't want to post it here so they can plug their holes so to speak -- so how do I tell you in secret?  Very Happy

It could be that certain ISP's are blocked because of people sending rather spirited (shall we say) messages and those might well include lots of them from Alabama as we do have a lot of folks who might have suggestions as to what Chris and Joran might do with themselves and each other.   Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

So, BT, that could be a part of the problem.   Rolling Eyes Seems rather drastic to me but you never know. . . .

Correct.  DJ Paul is in many party photos especially with Renzo.  Different person, IMO, than Paul Brough pornographer/RedWingFan.

San,
The Dutch would be foolish to praise them for their investigation.  I would tell them don't hold your breath (I'm being nice Wink ).

Too late -- the Dutch already said what a disaster the investigation has been, and so far from the norm of accepted investigation techniques.  That dog don't hunt.

Florida,
Good Morning!  I don't think Michael Posner has gone anywhere except maybe to the U.S. to attend to his on-going "legal problems" here for he is in the social section of the Aruban newspapers doing such things as hosting bachelor parties and such.

Not sure about Paul Brough either.  Wasn't he in one of the recent party photos?  Isn't he a little old to be hanging out with Joran's age crowd?

.

I was wondering if the Excelsior Casino has been sold or at least changed names.  I've run into this different name for it a few times.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 Last modified: Thursday, September 7, 2006 8:03 PM CDT

Twitty should be more open with facts

To the Editor:

I read Cassandra Mickens' article about Beth Twitty's appearance last week at Judson College with amused disbelief.

I am sure that Ms. Mickens reported accurately; I am sure that Ms. Twitty really did tell the assembled audience that she did not eat or sleep for the first 118 hours that she was on Aruba. Notwithstanding the fact that such a feat of endurance would be medically impossible, I would like to share with you an excerpt from the Nancy Grace show that aired on Oct. 4 of last year:

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Correct. I was not needed on the 31st to give my statement. I went in June 1 approximately 10 a.m. and gave my statement. It was printed in Dutch. It was translated for me in English, and I signed it. The same day on June 1 at 10 p.m., the same detective brought me two statements, one that I had signed ...

GRACE: Now, wait a minute - 10 p.m? This is the day you give statements - the day she gives statements to Aruban authorities, after being told to wait for 48 hours. You give a full statement. You sign it.

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Yes.

GRACE: At 10 p.m., an investigator finds you where?

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: In a restaurant.

GRACE: You're out at restaurant.

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Yes.

GRACE: And they track you down to restaurant.

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Yes.

GRACE: And you are with?

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: I'm with Jug and about eight other family members that flew (INAUDIBLE)

GRACE: So a lot of people witnessed this event.

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Yes.

So are we to believe that Ms. Twitty was found in a restaurant in Aruba at 10 p.m. on June 1, 2005, or are we to believe that Ms. Twitty did not eat or sleep for 118 hours (or are we to believe that she was found in a restaurant but she wasn't eating)?

Everyone with even a single ounce of human compassion wants to know what happened to Natalee Holloway but when Ms. Twitty is so loose with the truth, what are we to believe?

I, personally, have never believed any of the awful things that Ms. Twitty has said about the peaceful island nation of Aruba in order to justify her boycott.

And I, personally, do not believe that the boycott of a peaceful, stable, pro-American democracy in the Caribbean has gotten the family one inch closer to the answers they seem to be so desperate for.

Ok can anyone tell me what we know about Gabriel Leo? For some reason I woke up from a dream last night. I do not remember any part of the dream except for the name Gabriel Leo and the thought ( Leo the lion)
Shango crap?

Also someone else who left supposedly on Monday after Natalee dissapeared was a Jethro ( last name unknown) Captain of the ship Calypso. This was supposedly a planned trip for vacation in the Netherlands. This was suposedly the ship that Natalee and friends went scuba diving from on ? Saturday or Sunday.

I back in the early days went to the Calypso website. Now I can't find anything on it at all. I do remember Jethro was an attractive , blue eyed male. He may have been a little to old for Natalee to be interested in. JMHO
