Military officials said Metzger was a newlywed and had been scheduled to travel with her husband to Jamaica for a belated 10-day honeymoon in the Caribbean.

When I was young my father had a bottle of whisky or scotch on the table.  It was about half full.  My brother walked in and bet my father he could drink what was left in the bottle and he would be fine (idiot).  My father (another idiot) let him do it.  He drank the whole thing and my father paid him the money he bet.  Well needless to say my brother got ready after that and went out to a neighborhood bar.  About 15 minutes later he was so out of it they they had to call my father to come and get him because he challenged everyone to a fight in the bar and was just out of control and he didn't know what he was doing.

I knew right then and there that I would never drink.  Don't get me wrong once in a blue moon I do have one drink but that is it.  I have seen many people drunk and make fools of themselves and it is something I promised myself I would do.

Consider Deepaks 5/31 "witness" statement.

Here it is proof of a crime: False signed statement by a "witness" in a murder investigation. This is a crime anywhere in the civilized world including the Netherlands and Aruba. Arrest him and hold him on charges of filing a false police report as a witness! Enforce the law, put pressure on him, give no breaks. Best way to start is to prosecute for the obstruction of justice charge. Haul him in!

Can't do that, they'd have to haul in the 'judges' son as well.

File charges of obstruction and prosecute, dont just bring them in for questioning. The three have never faced any formal charges, just held on suspicion. Here is a charge that can be brought and prosecuted!

From Deepak's Statement 5/31/05:

Joran asked me if we would go out.  He told me that he was at the Excelsior Casino and that he had won third or fourth in the poker tournament.

He was at the blackjack table on the video.

Supposedly JVDS and PVDS had been in the tournament and Dad went home early and JVDS wandered over to the blackjack table to meet the girls.

Wouldnt the airlines keep records of when someone has flown in and out of their Country?  Someone from the airlines should be able to provide that info....To Police, I mean during their investigation..

If only they would Spock, if only they would.

But if memory serves me, Karen Janseen said she wanted to charge them of a bigger crime, not a lesser crime. And if they charge them of a smaller crime they can't re-arrest them of the bigger crime. How much of that is true (thinks it's bs Aruba made up law) who knows.

Yes, but he had been playing a poker tournament prior to that with his dad.

Yes they should, and they should of checked the video's to document accountability to Paulus story.

I don't trust a word that comes out of the mouths of anyone who has been investigating (and I use the word lightly) this case from the beginning except maybe for the one person who resigned from the case.  And Jossy.

Ah, the "system" strikes back. As the beloved Ms. Schipper once explained it, somehow lying as a suspect erases lying as a witness. Which presented the twisted scenerio where it actually benefitted J2K to lie again when they were arrested. Should they have told the truth then, the lying witness statements would have remained in play.
