UPDATE August 17: At the request of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, please if you are going to search for Caylee contact their Child Abuse section where they can send you on a coordinated, organized search and you can be background checked.

background checking volunteers??

anyone know how long that takes??

I do, I passed one a few years ago and it takes weeks - the FBI does those things.

ok, whatever.

They might mean the ones that are by state. We have to get those done because we work with children, and we can get results on the state ones the same day.

ok, I'll give you that, but do they have access to other state info where someone may have committed their crimes and moved to Florida?

I'm sure there are many people that do not have criminal records in Florida, but could have them in other areas.

Nope, and that's what's so stupid about the whole thing. We only get results for people who have committed crimes in Georgia. It's as if the government thinks no one who has committed a crime can cross the state line into Georgia. Hmmm...maybe they have bigfoot trained to weed out the criminals.

If - and I realize it's a big if - those backpacks found in the woods actually belonged to Casey and Caylee, why would Casey have thrown out her own backpack/clothes? I can understand her throwing away Caylee's if she intended to say Caylee was kidnapped, but why her own?

Because they smelled like a decomposing body?

You took my answer klaas....

That would be my first guess too. But why would she have left the pants that Cindy washed in the car? Maybe she simply overlooked those?

Another poster (mstix?) brought up the subject of taxes.  Taxes and deductions could answer a lot of questions for the police.

  1.  DEPENDENTS :  Who counted Caylee as a dependent?  Who counted Casey as a dependent if she did not support herself?

  2.  CHILD CARE DEDUCTIONS :  The child care deduction is significant.  Nobody would just blow it off.  If the parents counted Caylee as a deduction, they could also claim child care expenses.  If she really had a sitter named Gonzales or anything else, there would be receipts for payments.  Casey claimed to take Caylee to child care almost every day while she worked.  If her parents carried Caylee as a dependent, they would want some proof of child care expenses, so they could put them on their taxes.

  3.  WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?  If the parents counted Caylee as a dependent, but did not claim any child care expenses, that proves they knew that there were none.  If they did claim child care expenses, they should have some proof of this Zenaida's existence.  Ditto if Casey claimed her child on her own tax returns.  If there are no tax deductions for child care on their records, it pretty much proves that there was never a sitter.  Of course, Caylee might claim she used an illegal who worked cheap, I suppose.

Thanks for the info Hudsunn. If the parents or Casey claimed child care credits, wouldn't they have to have the SS# and other info of the babysitter?I know here in Michigan my brother did have to have the SS# of the babysitter to claim child tax credits.

I am also in Michigan and I thought the just had to provide for more than
1/2 her support.I read there are age limits on a qualifying child but not a relative...And thank you everyone for the help with the question.
I googled it and this is what I found..

To claim a qualifying relative:

• The person’s gross income for 2007 must be less than $3,400 and you must have provided more than half of his for her support.

• If the dependent to be claimed is related to you, he or she does not have to live with you, but must be related to you in one of the following ways:
Your child, stepchild, foster child, or a descendant of any of them (for example, your grandchild) who does not qualify as a qualifying child.

So technically if they knew Casey wasn't working they could have claimed her I wonder if they did.???

http://taxes.about.com/od/dependents/a/Dependents_3.htm
Correct, the person claiming a dependent must have dependent living with them for at least 6 months out of the year  and provided support for those 6 months. But to claim a child tax credit the child must be below a certain age and to claim what was paid for childcare, you must provide proof that you had someone caring for the child, full name and SS#.

Casey's car had the child seat in the back seat - she got that part right.

in the back seat that would leave only so much room - half of the seat.

so, if the back packs and other items were placed in the trunk - it all makes sense.

what does George say about all of this when he says he sees them leaving?

did he ever say that he saw Casey loading everything into the trunk or the back seat?

if everything was in the trunk it could have smelled like a dead body.

If Casey had left home and "Needed her space" why were all her clothing still in the Anthony's home?  Did she come home every day and get a change of clothing or did she take just the basics with her?  Doesn't make sense to me all her clothing was still at home if she had moved out a month before.

Concerning the  pictures, I don't think casey would wear a size 6.  BUT if, the gas can could at all be tied to this case, I'm pretty sure Georgie is headed for the slammer.  Since he never called LE back after he reported them as stolen, one would assume they were never returned.  He was very nervous about his story and casey returning them.  cindy also told Greta to "talk to George" about the cans, like she didn't know the story.  A new set of gas cans could explain why there were no prints on them.

Really kippy,,, I was thinking she might wear a size 6 depending on the brand .... they all seem to run a little different IMO

Thats true cubbee, I was going from my own experience.  I wear a 7 and there is no way in hades that I could get one leg in a size 5 jean lol.

LOL.... I did this freebie thing for Hanes Wedgie Free Wednesdays and I won a free pair of panties...no warning, they just showed up in my mail one day, they were cute as heck, but I swear they were the smallest size 6 I have ever seen in my life ....LOL
So do they work? Smile

I was just going off the report of the gas cans it says...

The victim gave a sworn written statement and wishes to testify and prosecute. The items stolen were not
entered into teletype as stolen due to the fact that the victim could not provide serial numbers for the items.

Well is Casey has stolen the gas cans before, why would you say that you wish to testify and prosecute..Wouldn't Casey be your first thought?Wouldn't you try to get a hold of her first? Its obvious they don't really want to testify against her at all.

George and Cindy would have loved to just get her on stolen money and gas
cans, I think. They were gonna teach her a lesson after their Father's Day
family blow-out.

When they starting circling the wagons is when she killed Caylee.

OOPS! Everything started moving backwards then.
