Wonder why George let Cindy call 9-1-1 and say the car smelled like a dead body? He knew the registered letter had come that the car had been towed, so the gig was about to be up. I bet in hindsight, they wish they had reported the car stolen instead of watching Cindy go pick it up. Maybe even, in hindsight, George could have picked it up instead of Cindy, and at least try to do something about the smell. I believe I heard Cindy tell George that Caylee was missing, and he immediately said, "Call the police". That was quick thinking, and a good cover.

Guess they'll all be thrilled when Casey comes out of jail, so they can get their stories straight. What a shame that neither of them care about Caylee, but just want Casey home and scott-free. They've even gotten the police to protect their image a bit, because they say the grandparents are cooperating. These guys are really sharp.

I can't remember what supposedly happened to the gas cans after George realized Casey had stolen them.  Did he discover this by finding them in her car?   If that's the case and he told the police this, then I wouldn't think the gas cans found today would be related.  If he found out she stole them because she admitted it but didn't actually see them, that's a different story and I could see how they would have been stashed in the woods.

I'm not remembering where the gas cans were last seen...."allegedly".

Perhaps he is making the whole damn thing up, bought two cans
and put them back himself?

When Cindy made the 911 calls, Casey was there....do we know if George was present, as well?

Two gas cans don't hold $50 worth of gasoline....I think I've posted that before.  Just sayin'

Going back to what you said before if George and Cindy wanted Casey on theft of gas and money..Then he should have called the police and told them he found them in Casey's possesion and he wanted to press charges but he didn't he lied..I can only think of one reason he would change his story after finding those gas cans..  Oh and I see Casey smells like a dead body, he finds whatever in the trunk and makes up the whole thing about finding them..

Right, not even at today's prices... or back in June 08, either.

bro bro - I hadn't considered that.. good thinking.

does anyone have the statement about the size of the cans??

it went something like this ~

what size were the cans?

George - they were 2 gallon and a 1.5 or 1.3/4ths {{I have never heard of the second smaller size - but that's just me - maybe they do make sizes like that}}

he was kinda vague on the sizes.

if I am taking the cans to the 7-11 to get them filled - you can bet I know exactly what sizes they are. You would have to think he has taken the cans to the 7-11 or wherever many times and knows the exact size.

that's what I'm thinking

I have has gas cans in the past and the last ones I bought were made from red plastic.

hard to get prints off of those I would suspect - they had a grainy texture.

not like smooth metal.

I wonder if those found gas cans at Blanchard now

give George an identical matching set of four?

That would be too funny!

(but not for George)

Gotta run to the store or we'll be eating pickles, salad dressing, one egg, one can of Red Bull, musturd, ice, 18 pack Coors Light, and a very old onion!!!!

No wonder you were sick yesterday. No wait, throw in a little Tabasco and it'll be fine.

we looked at that shed from the Girdle clips and we did not see any damage to the front of the shed..

the report says - 50 dollars worth of damage... in addition to the 50 dollars worth of gas..

this is not making any sense.

I have a shed... and a lock on it...

and a key hidden so when I lock myself outta the house (and it's happened a few times)

I get the hidden key to the shed - open the shed and get the key to the house outta the shed, and I let myself back in the house.

this will only work if you replace the keys to their original hiding places right after you get in, because you will lock yourself out again and your keys will all be in the house.

so, if you have a shed, wouldn't you have an extra key or wouldn't you let others in the family know the combination?

again - I'm an idiot and not wick smart like George - so who knows.

Could the value of the stolen property gas + 2 gas containers = $50.00?

Correct - any damage must have been repaired

Rob - maybe they kept an extra house key in the garage.
They have claimed they kept the shed locked to prevent Casey stealing gas, as she'd done in the past.
