Air sample tests from Casey Anthony's car show a decomposing body was inside the trunk, a sheriff's office official just confirmed.

Officials have offered Anthony a partial immunity deal if she admits 3-year-old Caylee Marie died as a result of an accident.

Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are at defense attorney Jose Baez's Kissimmee law office. Anthony left Baez's office at 3 p.m., shortly after investigators arrived.

Anthony, wearing sun glasses and a t-shirt depicting her missing daughter, said nothing as she got into the back of a van and drove away with a bounty hunter.

Sgt. John Allen and the three men who were with him also said nothing to reporters when he walked into Anthony's attorney's office.

Meanwhile, California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla said Anthony has made no effort to help him find Caylee, he told the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday.

"She has not communicated with us at all," Padilla said. "She has no interest in communicating with us."

Padilla, whose nephew posted Anthony's $500,200 bail last week, said if he knew what he knew today about the case, and that the 22-year-old wouldn't cooperate with him, he probably would not have helped get her out of jail.

Padilla said he still thinks Caylee is alive and that Anthony handed her off to someone. But he does not believe the toddler was dropped off with a baby-sitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, which is what Anthony has told detectives.

"We don't believe [Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez] exists," Padilla said.

"[Anthony's] got an invisible friend that's called Zenaida," he said. "She's got a world that she lives in that's apart from ours."

Padilla said he is using Anthony's cell phone records as part of his own investigation and has spoken to some of her friends.

This just went into my mind.....don't kill me...it's just a question.....Could Casey have been involved in a murder and the dead person was put in Casey's car.....and they took Caylee to guarantee that she didn't talk?

I feel pretty sure that was Caylee in the trunk.  This clears up the rest...all they need now is body. Game over!

you know, we have some very very bright people here, but there is one thing that I think we overlooked.

and I think this is the entire key - now check this

when Casey returned home and was allegedly confronted by George in the gas can thief (remember this is from George)

there is the high probability that Casey was about to torch the car with the body Caylee in it.

there has always been something missing in the gas can story - and there is a body missing - when you add them together, there aren't a whole lot of things that a small amount of gas could be used for.

it can not be used to completely destroy a body, it can hide evidence through emulation and can removed DNA such as trace forensics.

but it can not completely destroy a body.

I think the gas was to torch the car with the deceased body of Caylee inside.

something must have prevented this from happening.

AH, now that's a thought.  I could see Casey torching the entire car with Caylee's body in the trunk.  The question is what would have stopped her?  Did an easier disposal come up first or did she chicken out?

There is a laptop listed there as evidence given over from the car search, yet I have not read in any reports where they have pulled anything off the harddrive of that laptop.  IM's and Emails would be evident on a harddrive for sure.

Where is Casey's purse that was said to be left in the car?

I'm not so sure they feel confident that Caylee won't be found.  I think they feel pressured to let TES help.  Not that they have considered how their previous actions and statements have been construed by the media and general public, but I would think that they have probably been advised to let TES help just to make it look like they really are trying to find Caylee.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Much-anticipated results from the University of Tenn. Body Farm reveal that a body was decomposing in the trunk of Casey Anthony, mother of missing 3-year-old, Caylee.

On Aug. 10, air sample tests were taken from taken Anthony's trunk and sent to the facility by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. What Is The Body Farm?

Initially, Cindy Anthony said her daughter's car smelled like a dead body, but later the Anthonys argued that it was a combination of smells -- rotting pizza and cleaning 

fluid left in a hot car for fifteen days.

I think that the police, like us, had rather find Caylee and give her a proper resting place than put Casey in the electric chair at this moment.  If Caylee is dead, it is important that we all know that and that her body be located and buried in a nice place, not left in some ditch or landfill.  I am appalled that her family still feels determined to cover up the death when they actually smelled her body's decay.  That is just beyond belief to me.  If they really love Casey, they know she cannot go on and lead a normal life with this horror in her past.  She has got to come to terms with it and pay for it with a long, long jail sentence.  There is no way to fix this.

I agree with you 100%.  I think that's the ONLY reason they agreed to bring in TES.  

It sounds like there many people from many different forums sending e-mails to Baez pointing out how guilty it made them look when they repeatedly turned down such a valuable resource that is available to them.  Hopefully that helped a little.
