That's not correct at all. We use chloroform all the time. Along with being an old fashioned anesthetic chloroform is a standard ingredient in a forensic Phenol/Chloroform DNA extraction method. Just a guess, check the LE boyfriend. Seriously, we have pints of the stuff in the fume hoods.

If it is used for DNA extraction does that mean it is possible for it to have came from the CSI  while they were doing the forensics on the car?

I so want it to be something to help convict Casey but I also would want to know for sure. JMHO

Casey's biggest hobby was photography. Chloroform is used in photography as a solvent and it should be kept in a dark place.

Pg. 93 Chloroform

You can buy anything on the internet if you look long enough.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Where_you_can_buy_chloroform

Where you can buy chloroform?

In my experience, it is difficult, at best, to purchase chloroform as an individual. If you represent a school, university, or business/laboratory that legitimately uses this substance, you can shop at chemical supply sites such as science.com. But as an unlicensed, uninsured individual the best bet you have for the purchase of this Department of Justice (DOJ) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) restricted substance is through a farm supply company. Perhaps there are farm supply retail stores in outlying areas in the Mid West that might still have an old bottle or two laying around. You might also try retail taxidermy supply stores as it can be used to humanely euthanise mounting specimens.

Keep in mind, though, that since the government restricts the purchase of chloroform to insure that it is used only for legitimate purposes, it might be tough to you get your hands on it. Even if you do, the penalty for possession in a federal court is severe! Ergo, if you get some, use it wisely and for the sweet love of merciful Christ, don't get caught!

Also, don't mention me or this answer when you get caught. I did NOT aid or abet you in your attempt to drug and kidnap Hannah Montana, got it?

Seriously, chloroform has few legitimate uses. You don't need it and you shouldn't be using it. So, be careful.

....

She could have made it very easily.

I missed it too!  As an admin to 2 forums, I've had to ban my share of those kind of posters.  Maybe the ban button should have a banana going across it like the strike out on a NO banner

I was just finishing up some work for tomorrow and switched over to the Fox 35 News locally here in Orlando.  They were doing a brief interview with that "high power" attorney (you know, the one that looks like he only comes out after sundown).  He said during the appointment today with C&G they didn't talk about Casey at all, it was all about how they want nothing more than to find Caylee.  It said that they didn't retain his services and I had to laugh - probably because they were trying to get him to do it for free !!  You know it costs mucho bucks to ride in those limos and since hocking t-shirts isn't getting it anymore, they need high profile, but pro bono !!  Hey, even a vampire has to eat !!

She(Casey) doesn't have to buy nor make chloroform...Mom(Cindy)+Nurse+Hospital=chloroform.  Did anyone else make this connection?

Yes, some have and I agree

Would chloroform be used in the nursing home ?

NO!!!! Nurses DO NOT have access to chloroform. It's not a common product and isn't stocked in nursing homes or hospitals, except maybe the pathology lab.
So chloroform being that it was outlaw in the 70's can now only be used by pathology labs?  I'm confused I thought health care providers would have access..could someone elaborate maybe even post links for more info..this really threw me for a loop today in the case.  Could it be as simple as spilt beer in a car truck and she used bleach to clean it out?  Sorry all just confused is all.
