Why couldn't they seatch other areas of Orlando that aren't under water?  This sounds like what happened in Aruba.  Suddenly they were just sailing away, and that was six months ago.  That little girl is out there somewhere and it might be a plcae that is not under water.

An article on bamboo.  I live in NJ so I don't know too much about bamboo but I do know that she probably wasn't digging the bamboo up as stated in the police report.  To me if you are that irresponsible that you can't hold a job, lie and sleep around why care about a yard and bamboo growing in it?  Just my opinion.  If she had told the truth the case would have been solved months ago.  And we wouldn't be wasting volunteers time to search.   They were nice enough to volunteer along with TimM.  And now she is leading them on a wild goose chase.  Reminds me exactly of the Natalee Holloway case which is what drew me to this site.

I agree ... the parallels are eerie.

Joran van der Sloot and Casey Anthony both are of the mindset that they are somehow exempt from the legal and moral boundaries established by a civilized society ... legal and moral boundaries established for their benefit and the benefit of others.  Both these young adults lack a conscience ... lack the ability to take personal responsibility for their actions and ... accepting the related consequences.

The adults in their lives have failed them ...

JOHN Q. KELLY, HOLLOWAY FAMILY ATTORNEY: Well, if you look at the surveillance video footage, it appears that he’s the one sitting directly next to her and tries to engage her in conversation a couple of times.  And it’s sort of ironic that it’s his father who brought his underage son to a casino and left him there after he left, with access to his line of credit, to put this unfortunate chain of events in process.

You know, if Joran had never been there, not been allowed in there, because he’s underage and wasn’t accompanied by his father, the whole rest of the night wouldn’t have happened.

COSBY: You know, and, John, also, why would that be a significant—why is that in conflict to something else we’ve heard maybe from Paulus before?

KELLY: Well, he’s just claiming that, you know, he’s kept an eye on his son, you know, he’s kept him on a short leash, and, you know, his son is very well-behaved. And it turns out that he’s, you know, got him at casinos. If you’re under 18, you’re not legally even allowed in casinos, so his son was breaking the law with him enabling it.

Dana: One thing that makes my listeners scratch their heads so to speak and wonder, myself included and we'll talk about it again, is the fact of the underage drinking and gambling that had been going on admittedly by young van der Sloot.  Was there ever any discussion or has there ever been any discussion at least of filing some charges as far as that goes?

Jossy:  No, there hasn't been any of that. The authorities have just (inaudible) it aside, they haven't paid any attention to it then and they're not paying any attention to it now and over the past 26 months.   I haven't seen anything in the direction of trying to make some kind of statement that this is not (inaudiable) at least make some sort of a statement that this is not (inaubible) because it is a known fact that as an underage he wasn't supposed to be in the casino, much less in the company of his father. He was there, there are video tapes to prove that and still the authorities haven't done anything with regard to that specific case.

Exactly.  Which is why the Sloots never looked for poor Natalee and the Anthonys don't look for Casey.  They know the truth and think the body will never be found.  As sloot said "No body, no case".  I'm starting to believe that here too.  How sad

Maybe Tim was told by LE to stop searching, w/out being given a real reason.. except for "the conditions are too unsafe for the volunteers".  Saying that to Tim, Tim can't lie about their reason for temporarily calling off the search- because he's just repeating what the cops told him.. therefore nobody can let it slip before LE is ready to, that the body was found?

Search For Caylee Called Off
Sunday, September 07, 2008 3:23:02 PM

ORLANDO -- Texas EquuSearch has temporarily called off its ground search for missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

On Sunday, the group cited environmental conditions and concerns for stopping the search.

Members spent last week searching with volunteers.  More than 1200 of them searched wooded areas around the Anthony home and Orlando International Airport Saturday.  Several hundred searched again on Sunday.

Search teams used dogs to search the area.

Along with local efforts, EquuSearch said it's starting a national campaign Monday.

For information on how you can volunteer, call Texas EquuSearch at (866) 473-1584

Just pure speculation here, but... what if  they found something?  They REALLY don't want that public until they can positively ID the remains.  Yet, what reason would there be to continue to put volunteers in harms way when they are no longer needed?  It COULD be a convenient way to call off the search without tipping their hand.

It could very well be that TES found something and therefore their search and part in this is done and now it's time for LE to come in and deal with it.

jmo

The Sheriff was behind Tim while he was talking.  Tim looked so exhausted, he was a little emotional and continued to reassure everybody that they would be back and that he is not giving up.There were alot of searchers today, it almost 4:00, they have workrd hard all week.

Bless his heart.  What a wonderful, caring man.  To think he is putting himself through this while Casey sits on her lazy, uncaring @ss in her air conditioned bedroom surfing the net without a care in the world.  What's wrong with that picture?  That horrible excuse for a human being makes me ILL and I pray she sees justice for what she did to Caylee and for what she is doing to people like Tim now.  Useless cow.

Please don't ban me.  It just makes me so mad to see Tim like this while she sits on her princess @ss without a care in the world.

Just look for any post by "SearchGoesOn". He's the one who keeps saying that he's been out working with Tim and the other volunteers, and they packed up way too quickly.. he feels something is off.

Karma, I really don't think they found her. It's something else that caused Tim to leave and I don't think it was the environment. That makes no sense. They have searched in conditions far worse than this.
