Releasing balloons into the air like they did is frowned upon (if not against the law down here).  the Florida Fish and Wildlife would find this very interesting.  One of those deflated balloons could end up killing an endangered animal protected by state laws.

I'm no lawyer, but it seems to me that Cindy and George MIGHT face possible charges on a number of fronts.  IF it turns out they lied under oath, that is perjury.  IF they have tampered with evidence, that is a crime.  IF they have covered up a murder, that is a crime.  IF they have collected money fraudulently, that is a crime.  IF they misuse funds meant to be used for searches for Caylee, perhaps they could be charged for that.  And of course, IF either has deliberately misled the police in the investigation, I am sure they could have legal problems from that.  Also, IF the father of Caylee or his family are found, I think they could file a civil suit against Casey, and the Anthonys might have some legal responsibilities or problems in that case.

I think there should be more rumbling to find the father of Caylee, or if he is deceased, his parents or siblings, because THEY are just as much a part of Caylee's family as George and Cindy are.

Lawyers file many motions to the court requesting certain actions, whether or not it's likely the judge will approve the motion and allow what was asked for to happen.  The lawyer is not calling the shots, the judge is, upon granting or  not granting motions.  An added benefit for the lawyer is that it suggests to the client that the lawyer is working for his/her living.

Yes, it is very common.   In European cultures, it is a live body part that deserves a proper burial.  Not unusual.  I have a harder time with the ones that save it and put it in baby book.  I don't know why.  I saved all my kids baby teeth and they are body parts.  Saving a cord was just too weird for me. Many cultures have different traditions re the cord stump.  We can't judge their decision as much as we would like to.  It comes down to their cultures and religion.

I am Irish/Polish.  I was told by parents and grandparents that daughter could not be taken out of house until cord falls off and baptized.  Cord needed to be buried.  I did not follow that advise and maybe that is why my teenage girls are a pain in the arse now..LOL

As a side note, moms save placenta for protein treatments for hair or sell them for just the same.  Baby's cord blood is saved just in case they get cancer down the line.

There are so many weird things out there now...but as parents, can we blame them?  They are saving DNA evidence.

I hate this "Angel" vs. "Devil" thoughts on my shoulders.  Why Oh why was I brought up Catholic and took an oath for a nurse.  I just want to chime in with my mom feelings.

not too sure about it becoming law..with those balloons..although, we have a problem with our sea turtles eating balloons not realizing it isn't food.
I certainly wouldn't be releasing balloons..I love the environment...and all the lil critters.

You know this is ironic.  Casey stands accused of killing her beautiful child.  She gets a klutz of a lawyer who can only smile in the presence of Casey.  The parents hired a defense attorney (the best money can buy) to "clean-up" their image.  The person that needs the high priced lawyer is Casey yet her parents gets the top-notch lawyer for their media blitz to clean them up for the public.  If it wasn't so sad and crazy it would be laughable.
