Hey - does anyone think this is weird - Casey said her gas guage was broken in her interview but under sworn statement the tow truck driver said George just looked at the gas gauge and it said empty so he filled it with gas cans from his car?

Thanks for bringing this up KnayKnay I was thinking about this while driving the other day.  Some, not all, but some of us monkeys have pondered if she left the car at Amscott to have someone steal it due to her leaving her purse opened on the front seat and all.  My question is, how the hell could someone take the damn car if it was out of gas??
Which would mean that the car infact was NOT out of gas, so then George had brought along the gas cans to continue building on to the details of this elaborate fabrication of a story.

No experience with the Pontiac model involved here, but my wife's Pontiac gas gauge shows empty until the key is turned on as does my car. Wonder if GA turned on the key to check the gauge? It would be great if the tow yard guy noticed this and could testify to it if the key was not turned on. But, of course, I do not believe the car was out of gas, I agree that Casey dumped it because it played into her plan of a fake kidnapping. Now, if the darned criminals hadn't been too honest to steal it... I think GA was knew what was going on by that time and also agree he was helping to build the story. JMO

That was the other direction that I was going to go.  Many cars do not show the exact amount of gas until the key is turned.  If George did not turn the key he easily could have played off the fact of "oh ya it is empty".  The car MUST have had gas, otherwise Casey's original plan for it to get stolen would not have worked.  George is in on this.

Everytime I watch and hear that clip, it remionds me of an old movie called "The Out Of Towners" with Jack Lemmon. I can't remember who played his wife, but she had a real nasal-ee voice, and kept telling everyone in New York, "We're From O-HIIY -O".  The movie's so funny!

Love that movie....Sandy Dennis I think was the actress.....also in Up the Down Staircase.

Just popping in from Houston to say hi.  Ike literally slammed us last night but thank goodness we only have trees down  where I am.  The winds were 80mph and sounded so scarey.  We haven't had electricity until tonight so I have to catch up on reading. I hope everyone is well and made it through the storm.

Thanks Beachgirl!  If anyone has family in Houston towards the north, the power is still out in some areas.  Our cell phones all went out and if you had digital phones on your landline, they went out - so don't worry if you cannot get through.  Galveston, Boliver, Freeport, Surfside, got blasted and due to the storm surge - lost buildings that had made it through Carla and other terrible storms.  Galveston won't have power for 2-3 weeks they say.  The causeway is blocked with debri, boats, etc. so families cannot get back.  It is sad.  ...............darnit I was hoping to read that Casey was arrested!  Thanks again!

Another one that bothers me pretty badly was the fact that Casey friend Kritina was crying and upset on the phone and Casey's reaction was truly shocking - at least it was to me.

I think Casey is enjoying being in control.  Remember - she's the only one who can tell where Caylee is....even the detectives told her that....and Casey didn't like is that all anyone wanted to know is where is Caylee.  Casey is the only one who knows and she's not telling.
In her twisted way of thinking....she's in total control.  Skeeerrryyy, ain't it??

I agree totally!  I likened it to the mean girl in the movie "Mean Girls"...it was like they were picking on her (Casey) for being mean to the underdog (Caylee) and she was like "Oh my gawd".  I think a normal motherly response would have been crying and her saying "Yes yes I know if anything happens to her they might as well burry me right next to her!  Get me out I need to find my child.".....what did she say now...oh ya.."Um like can I get Tony's number because he is my boyfriend and I would like to talk to him."  BIYOTCH!

I was wondering, after she got Tony's number and called him...did he accept the charges for the phone call?  LOL  That could be why we do not hear tapes of the phone call to Tony, he may not have wanted to pay the 1.25 per minute to talk to her trifellin azz.  LOL
