I'm thinking that they did talk to this marine guy early on and have continued to.  Didn't Padilla mention several phone conversations between Hawkins and CASEy that the police are quite interested in when he was on NG last night?

A 22-month old child was found dead in a Summerville home Monday, now police are saying the death is suspicious.

According to the Summerville Police Department, the boy was found dead in a home at 402 Dove Tail Circle in the Weatherstone Subdivision. An autopsy is expected to determine the cause of death.  The mother, Jennifer Elizabeth Spoerl, called 911 Monday morning around 10:45.

The 2-year-old was found in his crib covered with blood, cold and stiff, according to the police report.

The mother's boyfriend, Justin Hillerby, told police the child was in his care Sunday and may have fallen into the pool.  He also told police that while feeding the toddler dinner, he kept falling asleep, so Hillerby said he put the boy to bed.

According to roomate, Brandi Lynne Mihill, when she returned from dinner, Hillerby said the child had been placed in the corner after spilling his beer.  Mihill told police the mother returned home intoxicated around 1:40 a.m.

The Berkeley County Department of Social Services removed the 8-year-old child from the home and placed her in emergency protective custody while the case is being investigated.

I didn't like that guy from the moment I laid eyes on him.  Loud, braggart, obnoxious, always with a beer and a cigarette in his hand and dropping the f-bomb in almost every sentence.  I could never figure out why Jennifer let him anywhere near her child, much less let him move in.  Sad, sad, sad.

I'm still dying to know what really brought LE out here to the wonderful state of California - besides needing to talk to Padilla's associate Rob Dick.

There's no way (IMO) that they are only here for that.  Gotta be more to it.

They probably are taking depositions from Padilla's employee who was in the house with Casey during the week or so she was out on bail.  They might be there to take a deposition from the Marine friend stationed at 29 Palms, too.

Not sure what you mean.  They are probably talking to him now. 

I mean they talk to almost all casey's friends in person or by phone..I heard even ones she didn't tell them about.. Why so long for them to talk with him..(the Marine)

The Anthonys better be selling movies, etc.   Those cars they drive are not cheap!  I know CA quit her job.  GA, i'm not sure of his job status, but being a security officer, I doubt if he makes that much.

I might be wrong, but I don't think two months (mid-July to mid-September) is very long for police to contact everyone of interest in an investigation. 

I'm not sure what you mean about believing what Padilla says.  I do think the police are very interested in what his female associate who was in the house has to say.

I think OSCO are following up everything, crossing t's and dotting i's.  This is part of their thorough investigation. 

I agree. I also think that we're going to see a battle of the experts in court (think OJ trial). Jose is already gathering evidence from the farm, etc. to try to get expert testimony to dispute the findings, IMO.

Common sense says that the Anthony's are probably in severe financial straits.  The bills are mounting.

I don't believe for a second that this is the first time they've talked to Hawkins, and I think there is a reason that an earlier interview was not part of the docs they've released already.
