Orange County Deputy Sheriff Arrested For Domestic Battery

ORANGE COUNTY, FLa. -- Saturday morning, Deputy Sheriff Alan Brooks was arrested and charged with domestic battery by the Mount Dora Police Department.

The 24-year-old Deputy Sheriff is Sheriff Kevin Beary’s son-in-law.

"As a law enforcement officer I take solace in the fact that the investigation into this matter is in the good hands of the Mt. Dora Police Department. Domestic violence and the tremendous impact it has on its victims, families and the loved ones close to those involved has always been a matter of great personal concern to me, when something like this hits so close to home it takes the life right out of you," said Sheriff Beary.

"As a father, I am obviously thankful that my daughter and son-in-law are well and I pray that whatever led up to this incident is something that can be worked out so that all involved can move forward with their lives, this is a matter that will be handled by the parties involved. Please afford them the privacy that is appropriate as this incident works itself through the authorities and to the proper resolution," added Beary.

Deputy Sheriff Brooks has been relieved of duty and reassigned as a result of the arrest.

No worries here. I don't think I initally  brought the topic up. However, I did agree it's plausible. I think I see now, though, why the orginal poster didn't want to speak. LOL So, to that poster, my apologies. I stand with you that it is plausible, regardless of how horrific. I do also agree, however, that if it's true, LE should be on top of it (whether they've released that info to us or not).

The problem with this whole porn ring conspiracy, IMO, is that people make a lot of money at this.  Casey would have had access to a lot of cash.  She did not.  That is why she was stealing from everyone.  Just doesn't make sense from a financial perspective.

Yeah, they have child factories, it's not a random act. They are very organized and careful. Seems to me that Casey was trying to use this as an alibi with Zanny but couldn't come up with anything substantial, like witnesses or names or places.
Child porn is like the Prince of Brunei that buys beautiful women and keeps them as slaves in a secluded palace with no transportation out. Or it's a hit and run crime and they do a one time deed and close up shop and move to another town.
But I like the theory because it explains the cholorform.

Jesse is the cop that got fired, right? What I do believe is that Casey was using cop resources, because she learned that from her dad. And she called Jesse to find out if anyone was on to her. I also think she used him to trace license plates, maybe looking for other cases of missing children or porn rings. The chloroform may have even been a plant to make it seem like there was a porn ring. Casey had 10 days to dream up alibis and a story.

Out of love for his daughter ... Sheriff Kevin Beary needs to take off the blinders.  His position within LE implies that he is not ignorant of the fact that domestic abuse which dictates an arrest does not resolve itself.  As the majority of men would never physically strike out in rage at their spouses ... the abusers mind is wired differently.  He may be sincerely repentent following an incident but ... it is just a matter of time before ... 

Bearly needs needs to revisit battered women's shelters he must have encountered in his career.  He needs to consider the OJ Simpson case.
