OK..in my opinion, she would have had to have been in the trunk for a few days at least according to what I found on stages of decomp...

Unless, she buried her somewhere initially, then put her in thr trunk to move her...

Bacteria break down tissues and cells, releasing fluids into body cavities. They often respire in the absence of oxygen (anaerobically) and produce various gases including hydrogen sulphide, methane, cadaverine and putrescine as by-products. People might find these gases foul smelling, but they are very attractive to a variety of insects.

The build up of gas resulting from the intense activity of the multiplying bacteria, creates pressure within the body. This pressure inflates the body and forces fluids out of cells and blood vessels and into the body cavity.

One thing I picked up from those documents yesterday...

She sure did like it when that baby was sleeping.

It freed her up to go and do her thang, Miss Thangggg!

One would be inclined to think that she may even consider
helping Caylee get to sleep with sedatives.

Possibly one night it was more than Caylee's little system could handle?

Yeah, and where did Caylee go in the middle of the night when Ricardo says he woke up and she wasn't there? This seems so strange. So, Cindy called in the middle of the night and said bring the baby home and Casey hopped to it. But then she came back and snuggled up beside Ricardo. Makes no sense to me. Did she let her sleep in the car?

Yes, in Tony's statement he said when Casey picked him up at the airport she had washed his car? The detective was going to have him point out that carwash!

I'm a pretty tough old bird, but it has finally gotten to me and I am in tears.  I can't bear to think of Caylee being denied the comfort of her baby doll as she died.  It just breaks my heart. I can only hope Caylee didn't know what was happening to her as her mother killed her.

These people are monsters.  Actually that is an insult to monsters.  There are no words to describe my feelings toward the Anthonys---all of the Anthonys-- after reading the documents released so far.  It is beyond imagination.

It was said tonight on NG that GA has a job as a security guard at Disney.  After seeing him on TV many times and watching his unatural body jerking movements and his facial tics, I can only wonder what kind of disability he is on and if that disability is the reason for his leaving the Ohio PD. I am assuming that when I read that George is on disability it was correct.  We have seen his terrible temper and we have seen him assault a senior citizen.  It is said that he threw his own father through a plate glass window.  One wonders if his temperament has any connection with his disability and if he should actually be carrying a gun if he is doing so at his present job.

George and I spoke of our disabilites. We both had injuries that required  knee surgery. He had an ACL done, and I had total knee replacement. We compared our scars to each other. (so I know this was the truth)  Your assumption is incorrect. I don't think he is issued a firearm for his duties as a Security guard at Disney. In fact, most Security there is unarmed posts.

Didn't they say George worked the night shift???

I don't think I have ever bonded with a stranger over the course of four hours and we were to the point of showing each other our scars.  And it would seem to me that since as is pointed out above that Mr. Anthony works the night shift when the park is closed it seems to me that it would be logical that he carries a gun.  But does your assurance that he carries no gun indicate relief on your part that he does not?

Where on earth does the myth of chloroform as a general purpose cleaner come from?  Who is eating crackleberries?  As adults, it's silly to carry mythical assumptions so far.

How pray tell do you wash out the trunk with chloroform?  What is your idea of what chloroform can do?  Did you know that chloroform does NOT  mix with water or any water-containing fluid such as soapy cleaning products?   Did you know that cleaning with chloroform is like cleaning with gasoline  or kerosene?  Have you ever cleaned your car interior with gasoline?    It is true that for very specific purpose of getting up grease, kerosene, gasoline, chloroform, carbontetrachloride, etc. can be useful.  But nothing beyond that.

As a chemist I use chloroform for dissolving oily substances,  but chloroform is impossible as a general cleaning agent.  For that I use soap and water.
Strayze - Not eating crackleberries (whatever those are) but I think the reason I thought this was from Nancy Grace's forensic guy when it was first found.  I am new and not a chemist, so I thank you for the lesson.  Actually learned more from you than him (no surprise!) but sometimes Nancy cuts people off because she doesn't want to hear what doesn't fit her theory.  That actually makes me see the other person as more credible at times!  Anywhooooo, just wanted to give you insight on where some of us, especially us new monkeys got the misnomer.

From:http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0809/03/ng.01.html
LARRY KOBILINSKY, FORENSIC SCIENTIST: Well, chloroform is a compound. Chemically, it has three chlorine groups. Essentially, it is a great solvent. It`s been used for the purpose of anesthesia in the past. It`s a known carcinogen. And it has a lot of different uses, one of which is the isolation of DNA. Laboratories that do DNA analysis use chloroform...

GRACE: Koby! Koby! Isn`t it true that many, many years ago, chloroform was outlawed for consumer use in the U.S.?

KOBILINSKY: That`s correct. Absolutely correct.

GRACE: Where do you find it?

KOBILINSKY: You can find it in hospitals. You can find it in forensic labs. You can find it in private DNA laboratories. Industry still uses chloroform as a de-greasing agent, but it is not available to the average person.

GRACE: In fact, it was outlawed back in the `70s, banned in the U.S. for consumer use. It is a solvent.

KOBILINSKY: That`s correct. And it`s a carcinogen. It`s very hazardous. It`s very volatile. You can easily breathe it in, and if you get too much, not only will you get dizzy, fatigued, but you will fall asleep. And ultimately, if you continue to breathe it in, your heart will stop and you will die.

GRACE: Back to our producer, Natisha Lance, standing by at the search command center. Natisha, you`re telling me that this is a result of the FBI report on what was found in mom, Casey`s, trunk. Chloroform in her trunk?

LANCE: Yes. This is according to the preliminary results that have come out so far.

GRACE: OK. Dr. Kobilinsky, can you give me one innocent explanation why chloroform would be in someone`s trunk? And they said chloroform. They did not say a pool cleaner. They did not say a solvent. They said the ingredient chloroform had been found in mom, Casey`s, car trunk. Why?

KOBILINSKY: That`s a very tough question. There are instances where chloroform can form as a result of a combination of bleach and ethanol or other alcohols. It could be a very small amount. We need to know how much was found. And also, we need to know if it was simply a contaminant that was picked up on this test, a contaminant, meaning...

GRACE: Whoa! Whoa! Let me see Kobilinsky! Are you telling me that you want to see if the FBI laboratory contaminated a sample from mom, Casey`s, car trunk with chloroform? Did I -- did I -- please hold onto your good reputation~!

KOBILINSKY: OK. Chloroform is a very commonly used agent in crime labs. And I don`t think that the FBI made a mistake, but to err is human. The FBI has made mistakes before. I`m not saying they did in this case.

GRACE: Why are you doing a back bend tonight? You did it last night, too.

KOBILINSKY: No. No, I didn`t do a back bend.

GRACE: You`re doing a back bend to try to give an innocent explanation for something that is lethal, that is deadly!

KOBILINSKY: It certainly -- I agree with you. It does not look -- there`s no innocent explanation that I can think of, other than a contaminant or that it may have formed, you know, as a result of bleach and...

GRACE: How would that happen? How did you get bleach and ethanol? Did you just say bleach and ethanol?

KOBILINSKY: Yes. I`m not saying the probability is high that that happened.

GRACE: Now, how could that happen? How could you get bleach and ethanol in somebody`s car trunk, and suddenly, you have chloroform?

KOBILINSKY: Well, I think it`s an unlikely possibility, but it`s a possibility. You can get somebody trying to clean the trunk using bleach and perhaps in contact with ethanol. It`s not...

GRACE: Ethanol. Where would you get ethanol to clean a car trunk?

KOBILINSKY: Well, beer, wine...

GRACE: So you`re saying ethanol and bleach equals chloroform?

KOBILINSKY: Yes, I`m saying it`s possible. I`m not saying it`s probable, but it`s possible.

GRACE: OK. Give me the likelihood, Doctor -- give me the likelihood that that could have happened, that you could combine bleach with ethanol in a car trunk and get chloroform.

KOBILINSKY: I think the probability is low, but it`s a possibility.

WARNING - very SICK analysis
If you're not ready for a really sick analysis then don't read any further.

As you all know, I've not been to throw my theories out there but................based on everything that's been release, I thought I would now share a theory I've had since the beginning. I want to know what you all think:

We know Casey and Cindy had a fight June 15th (Father's day) and Cindy allegedly choked Casey.

I think Casey took Caylee and took off that night, based on Casey not taking ANYTHING related to the baby with her.

I think Casey did something premeditated either that night or early the next morning to Caylee. Based on the fact that no one can account for her whereabouts for these two weeks.

I think Casey drove around with Caylee in her trunk for at least 10 days. Based on the fact that the car was towed on June 27th and Casey was already making excuses for the smell.

She dumped the baby somewhere and then dumped the car.

Cindy and George claimed the car on July 15th. They, the tow yard manager and Lee all smelled the "odor" based on statements by all.

I cannot figure out for the life of me the Chloroform though.

If Cindy and George were so hesitant to open the trunk because of possibly finding either Casey or Caylee, then why did she wash those cloths? Maybe they also washed out the trunk with the Chloroform???

Please tell me what you think - I cried terribly when I realized she'd driven around like that Sad Sad Sad

WOW - okay sorry. It was just a theory. I am not a chemist and I'm sorry if I am Chloroform ignorant. Was just trying to ask for other theories on this matter. Smile

I might be wrong, but Tony mentioned in his interview that she'd had his Jeep washed...not sure if that was the date.  Also wondering if the purchases by check could have been written over the amount so that she'd have cash back/change...most grocery stores allow this to a certain amount with member card.

Why do I keep thinking that 07/05/2008 was the first day she said anything about the odor in her own car?  Do I have my date wrong.  NG was making a big deal last night about the date she first acknowledged a smell in the car.  Brain Fart

WOW - okay sorry. It was just a theory. I am not a chemist and I'm sorry if I am Chloroform ignorant. Was just trying to ask for other theories on this matter. Smile

The only way I see chloroform in the trunk... if IT WAS NOT in Caylee...

Is if someone used it ... not to clean the trunk... but to in fact muddy the waters

with it. USED WITH THE INTENT TO CONFUSE, if you will.

Hey. Just popping in real quickly, busy today. But I agree. This is what I think. She was causing Caylee to sleep somewhere, maybe even in the trunk of the car. And one night, it was too much.

Got this off another site.  She sure was feeding those guys good by the looks of the grocery store bills.  The car wash on 07/05/2008 is interesting also.

Car wash was probably for Tony's Jeep

Does anyone know if the Target could also have groceries?  Like a Super Walmart?

Yes Klaas. Some are Super Targets and have a full supermarket too.
