"Maybe we should have gone in a different direction sooner.."

Det. Schneider

I am so pumped that this SMART team is in place, and I have not been more encouraged before today.

I hope this "fresh set of eyes" points them in the right direction.  From your article Blink, I assuredly see a direction, co-worker et al.

Trim- I appreciate your updates very much.

Sister- I am very hopeful for that, as I know the Kesse's are.  Wherever it leads, I do think "Adam" was mistreated for telling the truth as well.

Blink, I was thinking about "Adam" last night and prayed for the hell he must still be going through.  Doing the right thing can often lead to a lot of pain and misery.
The Kesses seem to be wonderfully strong people.  May God have mercy upon them.

The 19-member panel is comprised of investigators who have worked the Kesse case and investigators who have not previously worked the case, including medical examiner Dr. Jan Garravaglia and Crimeline's Barbara Bergin.

"The SMART will allow law enforcement to put fresh eyes on this investigation," said FDLE Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Danny Banks.  "We will never stop looking for answers and this cold case review allows numerous investigators to come together for the day, putting an intensive focus on this investigation."

"The Orlando Police Department will remain passionate in its pursuit to uncover any leads and continue this investigation," OPD Chief Paul Rooney said.

"The Kesse family is extremely grateful and appreciative of the efforts of law enforcement and the panel," said Joyce Kesse, mother of Jennifer Kesse.

Had LE taken Adam seriously, they could've wired him and had him confront Campos about what he knew.  It sounds like the guy was ready to implode.  What a shame this case was handled in this manner.

ITA  And I'm still shocked the two detectives originally assigned to the case retired with not one note from their investigations.     No files, no information nada.

Special Team To Work On Jennifer Kesse Case
Orlando Woman Missing For Nearly 6 Years

"From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all, Jennifer thanks you all, we know she's not the only missing person out there, we're just the family with the biggest mouths," Joyce Kesse, Jennifer Kesse's mother, said.

At a Wednesday morning press conference, officers said a special multi agency team will put fresh eyes on the Kesse case.

The announcement comes after OPD and FDLE conducted a cold case review to examine evidence in the case and develop new leads.

Orlando's police chief promised an intense look at the case.

"I told them we would be relentless, in our search efforts, in our investigative efforts, in the missing case of Jennifer," Chief Paul Rooney said.

The Kesse family said they hope the team will unlock the secret to Kesse's disappearance.

"Sometimes you have to get up and walk away, sometimes you have to sit at a different spot at the table to get a different perspective, and that's what we're hoping for: a different perspective," Joyce Kesse said.

Johnny Campos

Personal Information
Lake County

Johnny Alberto Campos
Sex   : M
Block   : 900 Georgetown Ave
Birth Place   : SAN JOSE,CR   City   : CLERMONT, FL
Occupation   : MANAGER   Zip   : 34711

Arrest Information

Arrest Date   : 1-16-2006   Arrested By   : LAKE COUNTY S.O.
Time Booked   : 08:32

What always stuck out to me about this case was this man. It doesn't look like this is Johnny Campos which the question is
who would Johnny know that would help him move the car using Jennifer's key. Also, if you look at the clothing - it looks like khaki pants and those shoes if memory serves me I think there is a target store nearby where these items could have been purchased. The hair also looks pulled up maybe in a bun I think. Which indicates someone with longer hair. The SHOE is of particular interest to me because of the size, note how long it is.

SHOE enlarged.

Is this type of clothing normal for this area?
It might denote where this individual works.

Kermit, I agree that I do not think it is either Hataway or Campos parking the car.

DON'T MISS!!

I always enjoy The Dana Pretzer Show but I'm really interested in listening to tonight's show with Blink and the coverage of Jennifer Kesse's case.  It's been nearly six years since Jennifer Kesse disappeared.  I hope her family can bring her home and there will be justice done.
