Compare the arrest pics with the pics we have of Astrid's home and tell me what you think.  I did not say that Lorenzo did not live at the other address. LOL

LOL...I did and I swear I see that wall in the aerial pics of the house in the middle of nowhere, not the pics of Astrid's house...All I have seen of Astrid's is the front and the pics from Club Arias.

Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?

Back to Charles and Eric, they are much easier for me to follow than this??

We have known for some time that Lorenzo did not live with his mother...why is this such a surprise?   However, unless Lorenzo is running Club Arias, which is possible 123K Saveneta is not his home...but as I said it is possible that he runs it for the people that bought it.  Maybe someone bought the other location as well. 

We know a few things:

Lorenzo was arrested for drug possession.
The location was well protected...with razor wire and such on the fence.
Lorenzo spent time with the judge in closed quarters and walked away without penalty.
Lorenzo is still around somewhere.

That is not much more than we have ever known..so we are still at a stalemate on Lorenzo. LOL  Two steps forward....three steps backward.

This really sounds like “Don’t Stop the Carnival,” book II. A modern day version of Herman Wouk’s comedy about living out fantasies in the Caribbean, having quit the NY rat race. But this is no fiction. This is a true story, unfolding right here, as we speak.

Arias Schwartz, a visitor from NY, came on vacation to Aruba with his family staying at the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa, when he left the resort on Palm Beach and went exploring, driving himself all over the island.

At a certain moment he paused, and found himself staring at Savaneta 123K, on the main road, past the Valero gas station. He was looking at an old fashioned tropical home on a sizeable piece of property.

When he went back to the resort he told Sherry, his art-teacher mom, he was buying the real estate. He was in love with a yet to be conceived project, taking shape in his head.

We visited Club Arias this week, it is almost ready to open as a ten-room boutique hotel clustered around a beautiful swimming pool, a rock wading-pond with Jacuzzi, waterfalls and a swim up bar.

The rooms of Club Arias are all impeccably decorated with the beds occupying center stage. They are showpieces, draped in clamboos and heaped with soft, odd-shaped pillows, colored-throws, summer down-comforters and 600-count cotton sheets in subdued floral designs which are tastefully reflected on the wall trims and on the carved cabinet doors, even on the light-switches, all hand-painted, you guessed, by art-teacher mom, Sherry.

Flory, Arias’ wife is the interior decorated. The diminutive gorgeous woman, has amazing taste, after all she married Arias.

Arias, the developer and builder extraordinaire, is coming down from an intense construction and design spree. His entrepreneurial spirit, his artistic drive and his courageous approach to life, gave Savaneta its first boutique hotel. It’s tremendous. Really something to be proud of.

Club Aria is visible from the main road, see the sign in our picture. It will be open for business in a few days. With a gorgeous garden, contemporary accommodations and a genuine Caribbean feel, it is a true escape and most suitable for a large family who wants to vacation together or a large, happy, group of friends.

This "Lorenzo" kid's name was mentioned from the very beginning..In fact it is the first name I heard when this whole thing started....

My guess is that he must have been involved with her sometime during her trip, and that they are now bringing in EVERYBODY that had come in contact with her....

Controversy over Commissioner Van der Straten
 

ORANGE CITY - Minister of Justice Rudy Croes (MEP) has written a letter to the Minister for Administrative Renewal and Kingdom Relations, Alexander Pechtold (D66), in which he complains about the actions of police Jan van der Straten.
The reason must be sought in the arrest of two employees of the Office Information and Documentation (BID) in the administration office. Pechtold has responded to the letter of Croes. He claims that Van der Straten a good track record and that he Croes of the commotion surrounding the Commissioner does not understand.
 

The two-BID employees were arrested for telephone threats from the phone at their workplace. One of the two is not a suspect in this case. By the second person, KJK, is still a criminal investigation. He is suspected of threat. K. has been provisionally set at liberty. The Public Prosecutor (OM) decide soon whether to prosecute is. Both men were arrested by the Flexi Team led by Commissioner Van der Straten. This is the Justice Minister in the wrong shot throat.

 

Letters
 

The Minister of Justice therefore sent some weeks ago a letter to Pechtold predecessor, Minister Thom de Graaf of Government Reform and Kingdom, including complaints about the actions of Van der Straten. According to Minister Croes, Van der Straten with the arrest of the two BID employees went outside his book. According to the Justice Minister had Van der Straten is not the mandate of the PPS order to arrest the two. The OM does not comment on it.
 

Pechtold's letter Croes has been answered. This letter last Wednesday by the Ministry of Justice delivered. Prime Minister Nelson Oduber received a copy. According to Victor Henriquez of the Ministry of Justice Pechtold writes in this letter that Van der Straten a good state of service. Pechtold also writes that there were never complaints about the functioning of the Commissioner and that he does not understand the current commotion. Both leaders will meet today and probably tomorrow Pechtold visit to Aruba. The topic "From the Streets" will certainly be raised at these consultations. Commissioner Van der Straten goes about two months to retire.
 

Minister Croes in the press have expressed anger about the fact that the Dutch Representation his letter to Minister De Graaf has opened and read. The Dutch Representation however, that this is a standard procedure. Ronald de Kort of the Dutch Representation: "This happens with all the mail to us via the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Netherlands is sent. We also covered himself in that ministry and it is customary that the Dutch Representation advises on such documents. "
 

Van der Straten is now simply his work and sees no grounds for a response. He argues that his letter was not written with comments on his work, so that it is also not clear when he would have to respond.
 
It is not the first time that Van der Straten Croes trying to eliminate. In January 2003 tensions ran high on when Minister Croes without giving any reasons, the Commissioner took away his executive powers. Some time later he got that, again without explanation, resigned.

I would suspect that George and Cleothilda are "the help".

And Lorenzo makes them hold the house in their name and makes them pay the taxes on the property.  No doubt it's a new way to maintain your property on Aruba.

He is likely to be sworn in next week by the Joint Court of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Carlo says very happy to be that Van der Sloot to his office to join. "He is known as a very able lawyer.

I got out of the profession therefore only had positive reactions. "Van der Sloot was employed by the Joint Court of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba as a judge in training. Before that he worked with the Public Ministry (OM) and Head of the Legal Department Legal Affairs. Because Van der Sloot not previously worked as a lawyer acts Carlo the next three years as his pattern.

The one thing that still concerns me was the speed when they said it was dog blood on the mattress. It was very fast, as I remember.

That is their specialty, trademark, in Aruba...discrediting information and witnesses...
1) Bone washed ashore was determined to be a donkey bone. (by Jacobs and company)
2) Panties / duct tape (w/blonde hair), belt were deemed irrelevant to the investigation.
3) Blood on mattress found, on the spot, to be dog blood. (no DNA testing needed)
4) Fluid in car given (by ALE) tested to be chocolate. (Deepak loves mint chocolate...)
5) Gardener was threatened with deportation. Other witnesses were ignored as well.
6) Coroner crew painting rocks in the middle of a deserted area (for auto tourist safety...)

A man who claimed he saw a suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway driving with two friends the night she vanished failed to appear in court Thursday and has possibly fled the country, officials said.

The witness had been summoned to give sworn testimony in the missing Alabama teen's case, but authorities were unable to locate him and believe he might have fled Aruba, Chief Prosecutor Karin Janssen told The Associated Press.

This witness already gave a sworn statement. Odd he had to go before a judge who also just happens to be the one in charge of deportations. I would conclude he is frightened. All the witnesses recant after a period of time. Is someone intimidating the witnesses...

They are investigating a murder...

The Aruban justice system claims they want his sworn testimony and then announce to the world that they are going to deport him if he shows up!

It seems like they didn't want his testimony too bad or they would have promised him immunity from deportation and even citizenship if his testimony helped get a conviction

No matter what they say their actions are consistent with an effort to make him dissapear and not testify!

CRS is right. Checkme told us two days before it happened about the Steve Croes arrest anf the Lorenzo Van Sijn questioning. Also told us from the beginning that Deepak, the cool, calm, calculating Kalpoe has more responsibility than it seemed.

Lorenzo is a friend of Steve Croes, the Kalpoes and Joran, that was broght in for questioning along with Max Arends, after Steve Croes was detained. For more info, check Brqaking News #10 and #11, at the discussion forum. There is also information on these guys at Misfitting.com
