Can someone explain to me the ABC island criminals' fascination with decapitation. First we learned of Renee and now we know about poor Marlies. What is it with this barbaric custom? Don't criminals understand that we have DNA tests for ID'ing remains so detaching a head makes no difference? It is disgusting that an innocent person has to be murdered in the first place, why denigrate them further?

Caps, you may know the answer to this. TIA.

I don't know dayhiker
i saw that another "Pieters" is in jail in Suriname for a ritual murder
i try to find that article
My advice is don't go (never ) to these islands
It is super dangerous there, corrupt and no respect for women at all  !!
The travel world Must give fair information (by Law ) and  no bullshit info about  the  happy islands [ bla bla bla ]
Hans Mos said a while ago that there was only 1 murder on Aruba in the last 20 years !!!
And another problem is now (you see that in Bonaire )
when someone is kidnapped or disappeared :
They have no money for a investigation

PHILIPSBURG - The body of 24-year old apprentice Marlies van der Kouwe has been found. The body was discovered in the bushes on a stretch of land near a rubbish dump in a sparsely populated area.

The police force on Bonair have confirmed that the body of the missing Dutch woman Marlies van der Kouwe has been found.

This success in the investigation that led to the body find, has been credited to Specialists from the Netherlands Forensic Institute who conducted the investigation.
The 24-year-old pharmacist’s assistant vanished on Bonaire last month after leaving a beach party to travel home on her scooter and was attacked at some point during her journey.

Three men are currently in police custody in connection with the case. The main suspect, aged 27, has now been transferred to the Bon Futuro prison on Curacao. Public Prosecutor David van Delft says he expects more arrests to follow in the near future.

Prosecutor Van Delft said : A technically and tactically brilliant''job

(they must dismiss this vDelft and Police chief John Schagen)jmo

The police came that night 20 minutes after a call at the PD , but had no interest.

Five surveillance cameras at Karel's Bar  saw that there was contact with  Marlies.
He (Ryan)came to her and tried to impress her macho way to make. Rayan drank, also according to Jamie, that night a lot. Many glasses with black label whiskey. Based on the images had nothing to Marlies have Rayan. Instead, after members as they stepped on the bike, to the coastal road to follow to its appartementje. She was almost home when she's Water and Electricity Company (WEB) was pulled from her bicycle.

In God We Trust is on the fence at the family Cecilia. Near the gate says Ms Johanet recent weeks that the police came back again and again. "Time and again ask them the same. My husband can no longer sleep, he sees the pictures again and again for themselves. He is very heavy it." Johanet is the wife of Piero Cecilia, an operator at WEB. He saw Marlies for the last time, along with two of his colleagues. Johanet: "My husband gave the police warned, but when they took him seriously."

Cecilia Piero has once again night, as he Thursday night with a polishing cloth in his pocket to the reception is. Actually he does not want to talk, but the story about him high. "The girl had perhaps lived, as there was direct intervention," he says. The company is surrounded by a high fence, he indicates where he was, in a container. "I saw her bike and the man with a black pull off her scooter. He stood over her. I heard her scream three times, very muted: aaaa! I immediately called my colleagues there. This was not normal."

With his three - with his colleagues and Charles Tillman lasco Chamok - she ran to the fence, and she screamed at the man. "He wore a dark jacket, but there was not much light. I immediately caught my portable radio, and the central call me directly with the police to undertake." In retrospect that was exactly 01.25 hours. "The girl was hanging limp at all, with her long blonde her aside. He loved her before him on the scooter and drove away at high speed. to that  the hill. The police came only after 20 minutes, but had no interest . They put  the bicycle in the grass on the side of the road and drove away . They found it not strange. "

Police chief John Schagen

In the opinion of chief John Schagen is investigating the disappearance of Marlies an example of how large-scale surveys on the West must now take place.

"Within a week we had all disciplines and expertise to do the investigation as widely as possible."

after 1 week ??

Very well said Johan!  And Hans Mos...makes me sick...just another puppet that's FOS!  When I think of him I visualize giving him a swift kick in the privates!  He had no intention of EVER doing anything in Natalee's investigation except stall, stall, stall, and then close the case.

Marlies grandparents world collapsed

groningen

The world of the grandparents of Marlies van der Kouwe has collapsed. Until the last sites had Marte and Jan Willem van der Kouwe from hope ( "against knowingly") that the body found on Bonaire not their 24-year-old granddaughter was. Through the media, the news to them that it was the body of Marlies. "This is very difficult," responds an intensely sad grandmother.

Sad news that she had to learn through the media, seems more harsh. "But we are so accustomed to it gradually. We can not constantly in contact with Bonaire."

The grandparents traveling very decided not to Bonaire. "No way, because it has no meaning. We were the only people there but in the way of walking," said Marte van der Kouwe.

==========================================================
Wereld grootouders Marlies ingestort
groningen -

Hi Johan and vms

Bonaire and Curacao radio Tuesday reported that the reason Ryan Pieters was taken back to Bonaire is that he wants to make a statement and wants to talk to his mother and his lawyer.
