I think you're right and she was alive for a few days, but where?

Rayan came back home that night and cleaned his clothes (so he is probably involved)...but where was she when the polis weren't looking and didn't care?

did he leave her somewhere with the others?

He can't be at home cleaning his clothes and Marlies alive somewhere else and not attempting to escape.

Either she was killed shortly after she was abducted or she was left somewhere with the people who have the black or dark car.

Hey Bro Bro. We'll know a lot more when a thorough DNA analysis is done. There could be evidence of gang rape, which shoots the simple robbery theory out of the tub. I agree with your assesment that she couldn't have lived for days without complicity of others.

Bro - what other reason is there to ABDUCT Marlies?

you know, I spoke to TJ last nite about all of this and he is very confidant "we" could have found her in the first week after she was missing...sense pain inflicted by those that killed her and the police who don't give a shit. The polis only cared when it looked bad for Bonaire, not because a little girl was murdered.

hey, Bonaire is only so big - why did it take a month to find her?

Rob i don't have the idea that she was killed the same evening.( timeline)
I hope the we know soon what happend exactly .
There was a press C today but i haven't seen it yet .

Have the monkeys sent condolences?  Don't know if it would be well-received or get a "butt out" response, but with all the support and sympathy I'm seeing here, I thought you might have.  I think the Netherlands needs to step in and demand that the police in the ABC islands be revamped for training, corruption and competence.

Thank  you, Johan.  I didn't read this before clicking on the link in your previous post, but seem to have gotten lucky and hit the right keys as my post went through.

I somehow managed to get a post through also.
Thanks, Johan.

The main suspect in the murder of Marlies van der Kouwe, Rayan Pieters, is now under heavy surveillance returned to Bonaire.

Pieters was since Sunday on a very heavily secured section of the Bon Futuro prison on Curaçao placed. Pieters was in prison by fellow prisoners seriously threatening. It proved not possible to the department where Pieters stayed hermetically be closed.

Rayan Pieters, according to fellow prisoners in the Bon Futuro designated someone else allegedly involved in the murder of Marlies van der Kouw.
He would have referred to Jair Leuteria.

Leuteria escaped from the Bon Futuro prison and is still on the run and would, according to rumors on Bonaire keep hiding. Leuteria was over 20 years in prison convicted of a double murder.

Murder case Marlies seems solved
22 Okt, 2008, 09:07 (GMT -04:00)

Marlies van der Kouwe

WILLEMSTAD – The murder of Marlies van der Kouwe seems to be solved.  Suspect Ryan P. has confessed that he has strangled Marlies, said P.’s mother today.

The 27-year old man said that he wanted to steal Marlies’ bag, but when the victim put up a fight and grabbed her attacker by the throat, he strangled her.  The mother says that her son made a confession before the police in the presence of his lawyer and her.  P. had also told the police that he had strangled Marlies at the location where he had pulled her off her bike.  He then transported the body with a motorbike to the place where the 24-year old pharmacist-assistant was found late last week.  His mother says that Ryan is remorseful of what happened.

The victim disappeared in the night of Saturday, September 20 to Sunday, September 21.  She was pulled off her bicycle on her way home.  Her remains were finally found in the mondi (woods) behind the Amboina neighbourhood last Friday.  Ryan P., who was suspected of kidnapping then and murder now, is in custody since four weeks ago.  He was transferred to the Bon Futuro-prison in Curacao after Marlies’ remains were found.  He was flown back to Bonaire yesterday evening under strict police escort.  To get more clarity in the case, the police took him to the place where Marlies was found on Friday.  Several media reported that where the skull and some bones were found on Friday is not far from where the rest of the remains were found.  The suspect is not allowed visitors, with the exception of his lawyer and the investigation team.  Such measure is taken to make sure that the suspect cannot frustrate the investigation by for example influencing witnesses, said the ANP.

Thanks Basti! He makes it sound like a robbery gone bad. That's total bullshit. Why was she dismembered? That's ruthless!

Don't care to start any political arguments but here goes. I have always supported the death penalty yet if I didn't this makes a perfect case for it. People like this are less than human and deserve to be put out of their misery just like a rabid dog.

Of course, it took two days before the case went public because they didn't take Marlies' abduction seriously. But within 24 hours after the case was known they were screaming about how it would hurt their tourism. Sound familiar????

"Half-truths and whole lies about Marlies'
By PETER DE KNEGT
KRALENDIJK / BONAIRE - Bonaire Officer Prosecutor David van Delft on Thursday has confirmed that Ryan P. (27) the kidnapping and death of Marlies van der Kouw last Monday has known.

Marlies van der Kouw. PHOTO ANP
From Delft wild, in the interest of the 'care' of the investigation in no way address the way that Marlies is killed, in what spot on the island and whether they would be raped or assaulted by P.

,, We know very much, but the investigation is not yet ready. What the suspect says is probably not what we know. We still have a lot of things that we examine not want to share with the outside world. In Bonaire, you can do without that little seen.''

Van Delft also stressed that the two suspects still in restrictions sit all alone and therefore may talk with their lawyers. , Who is also the case for us. For example, if I would talk about the cause of death, I violate the restriction. I would not say where and when it is deceased, nor talk about a possible cooperation, in others. I would like to tell what I know, and that is very much, both to the press as to the parents and family, but that can not now.''

The OM is also concerned that any findings yet to hear witnesses could influence. ,, That would harm the investigation.''

Whether there is a sexual offenses, according to Van Delft ultimately be determined by the pathologist anatomist of the NFI in Rijswijk. , Who is going to investigate.''The body of Marlies will soon be flown to the Netherlands.

On the messages in the media following the rulings of the mother of Ryan Van Delft also wanted to go. Mother Pietersz said after a conversation with her son last Tuesday that her son Marlies of the bag and had wanted to rob her by her boggle had strangled. ,, I see a tension between certain interests. There are the last days half-truths and whole inaccuracies told, but ask the press to wait. We are not ready. Give us time. We want the peaceful and good finish''said Van Delft

Ryans' lawyer, Margarete Domingo, may also after the press conference Thursday still does not respond to the statements of police and justice on the circumstances of the murder of Marlies. 'In the first instance, the limitations of my client off. The Public Ministry has informed me today, however, that only happens when the investigation is completed. I estimate only about a week,''said Domingo against AD.

Thursday is also the anniversary on Bonaire trip for Marlies held. The trip, which the inhabitants of Bonaire were summoned to walk, began at half past five (in the Netherlands 23:30) and ended at the factory where Marlies in the night of Sept. 20 disappeared. During the meeting, the parents of a speech Marlies

Father Marlies : No grudge against Bonaire
KRALENDIJK - Jan Willem van der Kouw, father of the murdered Marlies, thanked during the commemoration of his daughter, the police of Bonaire to find the body of his daughter.

'That was the largest gift in these circumstances,''said Van der Kouw Thursday at the end of the afternoon (local time).

,, We cherish no grudge against Bonaire'', he said. Also mother Lily, Marlies' Nienke sister and two friends held a speech during the service.

In the youth center Bonaire Young collected hundreds of islanders themselves to the service for the 24-year-old from Leusden apothekersassistente to attend.

The service, presided over by a clergyman, was very emotional. For many interested was no room, so they had to attend outside the service. Apart from family, friends and island residents, various dignitaries were also present.

The parents of Marlies are already weeks in Bonaire, but have so far not yet been shown in public. The family Van der Kouw has all this time not even talk with the press.

After the meeting in Bonaire Young has held a silent march to the place where Marlies in the night from Saturday 20 to Sunday, September 21 disappeared at the Water and Electricity Company in the district of Hato Bonaire.

Vader: Geen wrok tegen Bonaire

KRALENDIJK - Around a thousand people walked last night in silent march of exactly thousand meters for Marlies van der Kouw from the roundabout to the WEB plant in Hato, where they disappeared on the night of 20 on Sept. 21. From condolences to her family and with the firm conviction that Bonaire wants to witness something never heard about the whole route we only hear feet shuffle on the asphalt. Bonaire ran for Marlies and wept into silence.

The father of Marlies, physician Jan Willem Van der Kouw, worked more than twenty years ago on Bonaire. Not Papiamento he had long been discussed but was more a part of his speech in the national language. "We cherish no rancor for what happened on Bonaire. We remain of Bonaire. "
Reverend Ernst Stutterheim said during the memorial service: "Ask no questions, give no advice, but say nothing, just crying." The Reverend John took 11 to: Deep tilted, he asked: "Where have you filed it?" She said: "Come see, Lord, and Jesus began to cry.

On behalf of Bonaire Italian friends was a good friend Mike who together with another friend said to feel guilty that they are not for the safety of Marlies have ensured. Father Jan-Willem said the police and also to be grateful for the hospitality Plaza Resort. "Old friends that we have on Bonaire we are grateful, as well as the thousands of people who responded to the weblog of Marlies." The love for Bonaire proved it with a pin Bonaire with the Italian flag on his jacket. The choir of the Protestant community did the vocals in the service while Flor di Coromoto choir at the end of the march together with those present sang.
