Someone posted that George just talked about Caylee in the past tense.  I just listened to George's intereview and noted this:
G said:  Caylee never called Cindy mother nor called me father.
LE said: But you and Cindy are strong parental figures anyway.
G said: we "want" the best for that little girl (present tense)

It bothers me how he says that little girl. The way he says it
... it seems like he keeps her at a distance.

he did that a few times, Carpe..it bothered me too.... If God forbid, my child were missing , I would call her by her name....
I noticed that too.  He talks about how Casey used to drop the "little girl" off at Cindy's work so that she could get on to her job.  It is rare in the interview that he says Caylee, its sprinkled through the interview.

He almosts sounds as if he is trying to be puffy chest man all chummy with his LE buddies.."I have a lot of experience and I am working with the 3rd largest security firm..."  He is working for Wackenhut at that point...they hire ANYONE!

Georhe KNOWS the baby is dead
He is keeping up with the charade to pacify Cindy

Yes, agree.

Cindy's interview ended abruptly...so there's more to it.  LE was holding her hands hard (her hands were red) to keep Cindy focused and quiet while he spoke.  It's obvious that Cindly is the one that's most visible effected.  I think G is upset, too, but he just sounds more sad and resigned.  He's not a dumb as he lets the public think...he already thought that KC wasn't working for the past 2 yrs, he was trying to follow her to see where she was going, he knew things were not right.

When he said my wife SENT ME TO WORK, I almost fell out of my chair.

I pictured Alice Kramden sending Ralph out of the house dressed up as an overgrown
kid with a lunch box.

I can't believe that Casey was an escort. If it was Casey looking at the escort sites, (and not a guy using her computer looking at them), then she must have only been thinking about it. There would have been no reason for her to sponge off people if she were working as an escort. She would have had plenty of money for her own place, etc.

My thoughts exactly.

The labtop belong to George and Cindy.  IIRC ... it was reported a while back that according to Lee Anthony ... his parents were on the brink of divorce because of George's online relationships.  Maybe the porn sites were accessed by George.

According to George's ex sister-in-law ... his chronic lying was one of the reasons behind the breakup of his first marriage.

If you listen to the video of Casey's first interview ... she sounds so believable.  This gal does not miss a beat.  Could it be ... like father ... like daughter.

My sister terri was married to George Anthony during the mid to late 70’s. They dated all through high school and married for about 5 years, of not so wonderful wedding bliss.
She can tell you that George Anthony was an habitual liar. He had to always fabricate his stories, constantly lying, that was the main reason they divorced.

George’s father Lee, owned and operated a very successful used car dealership for many years in Niles, Ohio, called Anthony’s Auto Sales, before retiring to Florida.
I wonder were George learned to lie so well. He was born in to it, litterally.
As they say, “Like father, like daughter.”

Give my sister a call and she’ll enlighten you of George Anthony’s dark, deceitful side evidently passed on to his daughter.

Her name now is Terri Vandervault, living in Niles, Ohio

Even if Cindy was the worst mother in the world when you are 23 you are an adult and responsible for your actions.  I grew up in a hell house and I do not speak to my parents to this day.  I havent killed any of the 3 kids  altho there were times...lol..but it wasnt because I grew up in an abusive home, it was becasue they did something stupid.  The "I had a terrible mother" defense just isnt gonna fly.

I agree 100%.

katntx ... I feel sad about your estrangement from your parents.

Janet

Awe dont feel sad.  I put up with the verbal abuse from my Mom until I turned 40 and something snapped and I wasnt going to take it anymore.  It was a difficult decision but I am so much happier and mentally healthier now.

I thought that too, but if he is so hurt why is he patting himself on the back every chance that he has?  In his interview he almost sounded excited to be "back in the saddle" with his LE type people.

He acts shocked at Casey's lies, then goes on to say that he had a feeling she had been lying to him for 2 years about having a job.

I just listened to George's interview and unlike most of those who have posted their opinions about it, I do not think George was being truthful about everything.

1. He said, "I'm being straight and honest" just a few too many times for me to think he actually was.

2. I loved the innuendo of the detective's statement, "I think you're a guy who knows a lot about a lot of things, George" when George stated that he knew a lot about cars.

3. Just to clarify for those who thought maybe the "crate" that LE confiscated from the trunk might be a recycle box, George described it as a "collapsible crate" so I don't think it was a recycle box.

4. I wondered about this statement: (referring to when they got back from the impound lot with the car) "My wife sent me back to work" .. she said she'd handle everything with Casey. I was livid at the moment. ... Um ... I thought they were worried because they did not know where Casey and Caylee were at that time. It was later while cleaning out the car that Cindy found a piece of paper with Amy's phone number on it, so she called her, picked her up at the Florida Mall and Amy took her to Tony's apartment. So how could Cindy have told George to go back to work, and she would handle Casey at that time, when she did not know where Casey was?

5. George referred to Caylee as "the little girl" and "that little girl" several times. I find that so odd.

Anyway, I still think George has a lot to do with the cover-up for Casey and I also think he had an active role in that cover-up. I know this is not a popular opinion among you monkeys at this point, but it continues to be my opinion.

I am surprised he did not have a resume and business card with him.

It seem's to me that if Caylee was already in major stinking mode, why would Casey put her in a dumpster at an office complex?I mean really, people would be throwing away trash everyday and a smell like that would cause any normal person to immediatly investigate the odor.lmo again...
Tot, you make a great point, but I have to keep reminding myslef that Casey aint the sharpest pencil in the box

Yep!  Same thought I had (dumb).

I could not agree with you more.  He was very calm in his interview.  I stated in a prior post he acted the way I thought Cindy would have, and Cindy acted how I thought George would have.
The more I have pondered this and thought of all the details he gave, he is very much like Lee, too detailed and rehearsed.
Cindy is all over the board.  The woman can not stay on topic to save her freakin life.  She is throwing out every last person within her rolodex as the culprit..she is over doing it.
Everyone in this family is in on the cover up, others may be in deeper, but Cindy IMO will be the first to crack if pressure is continued to be placed on her.

Dolce, I didn't find him sounding "excited" at all. I think he was just generally trying to find something good in his life to talk about at that point.

I also don't think he was shocked about Casey's lies. I think he is shocked by the purpose of those lies, the demise of Caylee.

Come on people!!!

I told you all about the smell and how powerfull it was WEEKS ago!!! I also told you how important it was to this case.
George smelled it first at the impound lot and KNEW a death had occured.
Cindy smelled it at home and KNEW a death had occured
Lee smelt the wave also and although he did not know it as a dead body he sure heard Mom and Dad talking about it later.

From there on their support for casey is pure COVERUP and obvious to LE

Just wait, within 10 days some one else is getting arrested, I stake my monkey reputation on it.

I just listened to George's interview and I have to say, I don't think he's involved at all in Caylee's disappearance.

I totally agree! He's more sincere than ANY of them, and putting up with Cindy AND Casey - OMG! I can't even imagine!

Phew! Thanks Knay. I thought I was alone there for awhile.

I just finished listening to George's interview. He seems credible to me. He was very specific (not clouding any issues).  He was very forthcoming.  He said he knew KC was sending emails to herself.  He said he had felt for the past 2 yrs that KC was NOT working.  He said that his daughter likes to stop at Target with my wife's money.  He said that after he got home with the car he had to go back to work; that he was livid at that time.  He said that he did not like the smell in the car.  LE said that it was a very touchy subject; that they did not like the smell either.  All agreed it was a bad smell and a touchy subject. LE said that they were not bringing up the smell to Cindy just yet because she was having a very bad time with all of this.  George said that when you have heard that little voice in 2-3 weeks you start thinking all kinds of things have happened.  He said that he walked to KC's car toward the trunk and that KC just blew past him; opened the trunk and said here's your f**king can (G did not appreciate the way she talked to him) (I got the impression that G did NOT go into the truck himself).

George told about seeing KC take off from the house in Cindy's SUV.  G told FBI about it.  G did not tell Cindy about it at the time.

George said Lee got KC's clothes and that they were stinking from cigarette smoke. That he and Cindy don't smoke, so the smell was very noticable to them.

G said he loves his wife very much.

Geesh...what a spelling mess I made of this post...sorry.  9th line should read "when you haven't heard that little voice" and last of para. should read "G did NOT go into the trunk"

They need to cut him a break though...I mean according to Casey he had just suffered a heart attack on the 13th.  ROFL

George deserves and award too though.....
