I watched the TV tabloid exclusive last night with HKStern....no eye contact throughout by him.  Sorry, even the tears seemed fake.

My thoughts went from that to the reported break in to the house & the stolen personal items.....HKStern could also have had a hand in that.

As Jacqueline said, it's a 3 ring curcus.

Hi Monkeys.  I find it hard to believe that Stern is involved with either death in a premeditated way.  As an attorney, wouldn't he have been smart enough to actually be married to her legally before doing away with her via drugs?  However, I don't believe he is the father....not one little bit.  I can't believe the judge is making everyone wait on the DNA tests like this....ridiculous and cruel.  He should have had the test done that day.  What a circus....

Hello, Annie...good to see you.  I, personally, cannot say that I am convinced he was involved in AN's death.  I was just noting his demeanor in the 'exclusive' & subsequent thoughts on the break in.

AN was involved in the initial denial of the DNA testing, from reports.  It just does not make sense that HKS was her 'best friend' and all of these bad things were surrounding her in her life.  What kind of advice did he provide to her?  Since I do not believe he's the father, what kind of position had he taken if there were multiple men in her life?  Not living in their kind of world, I cannot fathom choices made by her or HKS.  Losing a son to suspicious circumstances, having a new baby & all of the other law suits, etc., going to the Bahamas for whatever reason, the hateful relationship with her mother & family memebers.  It's all baffling.

I am rapidly tiring of the news coverage on this story... or lack thereof.  The poor woman is dead.  Leave her alone.  I thought the pic with the Bahamian "official" looked STAGED.  The guy was grinning right at the camera.

Time will tell who the baby belongs to.  In the mean time:

(Just another good excuse to look at Toby Keith, girls).

The photos with that official looked staged to me too. Like a picture of a man's fantasy, like a fan would want for his personal use...He doesn't look that official to me though  Laughing  Laughing

You are right Annie regarding the marriage part.  But how does the Bahamas recognize the commitment ceremony Howard and Anna had.  They will never get that baby to the states unless the Bahamas steps up to the plate.  I don't trust some of the people in the Bahamas who are friends of Howard.  They need to investigate this Gibson person.

Stern should have had a real doctor come to the hotel if Anna refused to go to the hospital...What's with this "icing her down" stuff?

http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=251479&GT1=7703

Stern's Sister: He Last Saw Smith Asleep
Feb 13, 9:15 AM EST
The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES -- Anna Nicole Smith's partner, Howard K. Stern, was not with the former Playboy playmate when she died, but he knew she was very sick, his sister says.

Stern had told his sister that Smith was running a fever of 105 degrees shortly before her death on Thursday, and that a nurse was "icing her down" earlier that day at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

"When he left her, she was sleeping," Bonnie Stern said.

He had been gone only about two hours when news reached him that Smith was dead, she said. A private nurse had called 911 after finding the former model unresponsive.

Bonnie Stern, who recently traveled from her Beverly Hills home to the Bahamas to comfort her brother, said that he had tried to get Smith to visit a doctor but Smith had refused because she was afraid that it would draw publicity.

"They had plans to get a yacht and to buy an engagement ring. They were going to get married Feb. 27. It was going to be a real marriage," she said.

Asked what she thought caused Smith's death, Bonnie Stern said: "Her immunity was so low. She was so depressed. She kept getting sick and her body just probably broke down."

Smith had never recovered from the loss of her 20-year-old son, Daniel, who died in the Bahamas in September while visiting his mother and newborn half-sister at a hospital, friends said. She had also spent a decade battling in court over the estate of her late husband, the 90-year-old Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II.

Alex Goen, the founder and CEO of TrimSpa, knew Smith well from working with her as a company spokesmodel and said she suffered from social anxiety, as well, even after years in the celebrity spotlight.

"She was clearly incredibly misunderstood," Goen told CBS's "The Early Show" on Tuesday.

Smith had met Stern in 1996 when she was referred to his law firm, Bonnie Stern said.

"He started doing her legal work and then he became her confidant.

They became best friends and then he fell in love with her," she said.

Stern, 38, is listed on a birth certificate as the father of Smith's baby girl. He said in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that he is the executor of a will drafted for Smith that will leave everything to the little girl, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.

Another man, Larry Birkhead, also claims to be the father, and actress Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, recently said he had a decade-long affair with Smith and might be the baby's father. Von Anhalt said Monday that he plans to file a paternity challenge in court and wants a DNA test.

Birkhead told New York's Daily News that he and Smith had meticulously planned for the birth of the child, but that after they broke up he was pushed to the side.

"Howard has never liked me and he never wanted me and Anna to be together," Birkhead, 34, told the Daily News in Tuesday's editions. "After she got pregnant, things went quickly downhill because of his difference of opinion on several matters."

Birkhead recounted how he had tried to save Smith from her risky lifestyle. He said Smith left him because of his attempts to intervene. The couple split early last summer.

"I watched over her to make sure she was safe, and once I was basically pushed to the side," he said, "I had no control over what she did or anyone else around her did."

Bonnie Stern said "there were times of some intimacy" between Birkhead and Smith, but said, "Larry Birkhead was not her boyfriend."

I agree with you AnnieMW1. On both counts.

I guess we will have to wait and see how this story unfolds.

A sensless unfair tragedy. No matter how you look at it.

Mishy, I agree about her needing to see a physician with a fever that high but I also had a pediatrician have me do an ice bath on my son once as opposed to bringing him in? I dunno though.....

I have a question though, I'm not up on genetics but did notice Dannielyn has blue eyes? Anna Nicole did not, Howard does it appears for I looked during ET last night........I need to go find a photo of Birkhead to check as well? I mean one parent has to have blue eyes to produce a blue-eyed offspring, right?

Not that this is any real insight, just something that occurred to me last night?

If one has hazel eyes the offspring can have blue.  My mom had hazel but almost brown looking eyes.  My father had light brown eyes.  I have blue eyes as does one of my sisters.  The other sister has brown eyes.

At one point Larry Birkhead posted his own baby picture next to baby Dannielynne on his website.  The baby did seem to resemble him, but I didn't notice the eye color.

Last night Larry King had on a (former?) friend of AN's.  I thought her spin on things was probably close to accurate, although she does seem to be close to AN's mother, who I do not trust either.  She indicated all AN's friends recognized her as an addict and were urging her to get off drugs, except Howard, who was encouraging and offering the drugs.  She felt it was through the drugs that he kept control over her.

Just had a discussion of eye color genetics this past Saturday night with a friend of my sons who teaches Biology.

Brown is dominant, which most know.  If both parents have brown, but have a blue eyed baby, they both carry the gene for blue.  If one has brown & the other blue, & child is blue eyed, then both have to have the blue 'gene'.

I had asked about green of hazel eyes, because my mother had brown, Dad has blue.  My 3 siblings have brown eyes, & I have green.  I was told that green is a mutant gene, that both have to carry, as well.  She told me that when genetics is taught, they make it seem simple with the browns & blues, but it can get more complex.  On my mom's side, I have aunts & cousins who have haxel or grayish/greenish/bluish eyes that change depending on what they are wearing.  On my Dad's side, I have blue eyed, brown eyed & at least one other cousin with green like myself.

I noticed same with HKS eye color.  I think Birkhead is also blue eyed.  Daniel appeared to have light eyes from photos, but I can't say for sure.  AN, it seems carried the gene for blue.

Wasn't a science wiz myself, but I do find genetics intriguing...Right now, Danilynne doesn't have HKS's profile, which, imo, is a wonderful thing!  (San would have said that in a bigger way, I'm sure!!! Laughing )

Thanks, Angie.  It certainly was brief and there was no urgency in anyone's voice. Guess because they knew she was not breathing.  Dunno.  I noticed the TMZ...also.
