Mishy, I agree about her needing to see a physician with a fever that high but I also had a pediatrician have me do an ice bath on my son once as opposed to bringing him in? I dunno though.....

I have a question though, I'm not up on genetics but did notice Dannielyn has blue eyes? Anna Nicole did not, Howard does it appears for I looked during ET last night........I need to go find a photo of Birkhead to check as well? I mean one parent has to have blue eyes to produce a blue-eyed offspring, right?

Not that this is any real insight, just something that occurred to me last night?

None, Bart and I are brown-eyed, and La Pooh's are blue. Bart's dad has exquisite blue eyes though, and they are passed down through the father, I think (?) Plus, aren't all babies blue-eyed at first and then they change? My pooh is a little old for hers to change at this point, but ya never know...

As for the icing down of ANS, seems she had so many other health problems that it would have been far more prudent to get her to a hospital, or at the very least, have a physician make a house call...Sounds like she had some kind of infection. You don't get 105 temp with the flu, do you?

oh Mishy I agree, no I think she may have had an infection and not the flu. I think someone, anyone should have gotten her to a doctor !

babies and children tend to run higher fevers than adults as it is, so it's very atypical for an adult to run such a high fever I believe?

I'll add that my father has blue-grey eyes and one of my sisters has green eyes. My mom and other sister are brown-eyed like me...

I believe the items taken were from the owner who took over residence,  and changed locks before HKS returned to change them again, not thieves.  I would imagine that is where the photos of AN with the immigration official came from were the computers and personal items taken.

Now a Bodyguard (not sure if it was former or current) says HE had an affair for 2 yrs. with her too. Damn, I wanna know how she was sleeping around with so many men without the others knowing, especially with Stern attached at her hip?   And why are they just NOW coming out of the wordwork, paternity has been in question between HKS and LB since Sept.

Gee the stories change every hour!

Why did the owner take those items? Seems a bit odd...the baby's birth certificate, computers, etc. The police say they've recovered all the items now...

Publicity?  Blackmail? just Nosy?  Wonder how much he made for selling those pics. and other items he found... They say posession is 99% of the law.

Yet one more man is now claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby girl!

The doomed blonde's former bodyguard, Alexander Denk, reveals exclusively to TV's Extra that he and Smith had a torrid affair for two years and thinks he quite possibly could be the father of little Dannielynn.

This now brings the total of men who purport to be the child's father to FIVE, including Denk, Howard K. Stern, Larry Birkhead, Zsa Zsa Gabor's crazy husband and the frozen sperm of J. Howard Marshall, Smith's late billionaire husband.

The bodyguard says that Anna Nicole always told him she wanted to have children with him, and he's hired an attorney to throw his hat in the paternity ring.

Denk also revealed that he doesn't think Smith died of an overdose and he disclosed that the former Playmate suffered from life threatening seizures, for which she was on medication.

"Poor Anna, Denk said through tears. "I hope she's in peace wherever she is."

No Very Happy

Both my parents have dark brown eyes. My sister has dark brown eyes.

I was born with blue eyes -- that changed to blue/green. I also have a small brown spot on my left iris.

Brown is dominant gene. Blue is recessive.

So if you have one blue from one parent and one brown gene from the other parent -- you will still have brown eyes.

Both of my grandmothers had blue eyes.

Both of my brown eyed parents must have had a recessive blue gene -- and I got one blue gene from each.

The brown spot on my iris is a 'gene mutation' or birthmark, as I like to call it Laughing

Good old genetics -- the punnet square Laughing

THE INVESTIGATION
Seminole police mum on details of death. Not even CBS News anchor Katie Couric could get an interview with the head of the Seminole Police Department.

BY WANDA J. DeMARZO
wdemmarzo@MiamiHerald.com

Surveillance tapes. The 911 call. A police report. Search warrants. Witness statements.

All of these, once made public, reveal details of how investigators piece together evidence to solve a crime or a suspicious death.

But this information may not be released in connection with the death of former Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith, who was found unconscious in her hotel suite at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, on an Indian reservation near Hollywood.

As a sovereign nation, the reservation makes and follows it own laws; its police department isn't subject to the kinds of laws that govern other police agencies.

Because Smith was found on the reservation, her case is being handled by the Seminole Police Department, made up of about 80 sworn law enforcement officers who investigate all crime that takes place on the reservation.

So it's no wonder that the hordes of media have been left scrambling. With little official information, reporters have to rely on leaks from sources, some of them later proven to be inaccurate or unreliable.

No one -- not even CBS News anchor Katie Couric -- could pry information from the Seminole Police Department on Friday. One of her producers, miffed that his calls weren't being returned, called neighboring Hollywood police to complain that they weren't able to get any information from Seminole police.

''It's not that we're trying to hide anything from the public, but we're like another country or the federal government,'' explained Seminole Tribal Council member Max Osceola.

``Could you go to France and say, `I want your police records'?''

But can the department handle this kind of case and the pressure that it inevitably poses?

The police department, headed by Chief Charlie Tiger, may not be used to such high-profile cases, but those in local law enforcement says Tiger is well-equipped to handle the Smith investigation.

''Charlie is a very soft-spoken, very introverted person. But he was an extremely effective criminal investigative detective,'' said Hollywood Police Capt. Tony Rode, who worked with Tiger when he was on Hollywood's force.

''Charlie is a top-notch cop,'' said Hallandale Beach Assistant Police Chief Jim Kirchoff, adding that he's worked with Tiger on cases.

The Seminoles still require the assistance of the Broward County Sheriff's Office crime lab . BSO detectives helped comb Smith's hotel room Thursday night.

Osceola explained that Seminoles feel they have dual citizenship, that of a U.S. citizen and a Seminole Indian.
Tiger, who worked for the Hollywood Police Department for 17 years, took over the department in June 2006.

The department doesn't see many violent crimes on the reservation. Between January and June 2006, the Seminole Indian Reservation reported one murder and six rapes.

How do we know Anna was running a fever, and had flu symptoms? Is there an independent witness to her illness, or is it just those involved in her daily care and employed by Howard who say she was sick?  Was she in withdrawal? Narcotic withdrawal can make some people very sick, and should be done under medical supervision. Could that be the issue?

Surely the autopsy would have revealed evidence of the flu, or any other infection present at the time of death. I guess we will know more when the final results are released.

The gene for blue eyes is recessive.  This means that both parents can have brown eyes, but with the dominant brown-eye gene masking a recessive blue-eye gene in each.  Their offspring would have a 25% chance of having blue eyes.

Yes, she certainly could have been in withdrawal. I was with someone once when they were withdrawing from methadone. I don't remember if she had a high fever, but she was shivering one minute and burning up the next and throwing up. She didn't know what was wrong with and I told her she was having DTs and she said DOH!!

Sharon, these records and any information could be sealed up tighter than a drum and details may never be known, reminiscent of the JFK murder. Just another thing to add to the mystery...And of course, I am very curious about the details...

Wonder what's on the surveillance tapes?
