Casey Enters Not Guilty Plea On Check Fraud Charges

ORANGE COUNTY -- Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's lawyer, entered a not guilty plea on the check fraud charges Anthony is facing.

This means she won't appear in front of a judge for her arraignment on Oct. 14.

Anthony has been arrested several times in recent weeks for various check fraud charges.

The charges are in addition to the child neglect charges she's faces in connection with her missing daughter Caylee.

The toddler hasn't been seen in months.

Deputies have said publicly they believe Caylee is no longer alive.

You know what scares me?  OJ got off...and I thought there was more evidence in that case than this one per se.  I don't know..we talk about CA in jail, but what if it doesn't happen??  Just a thought...scary.

I have about 5 more classes to get my degree as a criminalist. One of the cases we gave studied over and over is the OJ case, it's like a what not to do at a crime scene.  One of the reasons that he got off was because DNA was relatively new and people did not understand it and mistakes were made at the crime scene like covering Nicole with a blanket which is a big MISTAKE and caused contamination.  Casey will not be so lucky, jury's now want DNA and forensic evidence, which the Prosecution does have. 
Casey is going to jail for a very long time.

Yup.  The CSI shows, etc. has changed people's perception of evidence.   I DO think the OJ trial is why Casey hasn't agreed to a plea deal.  If she pleads, she is guaranteed of jail time.  If she goes to trial, she has a chance, however slim, of getting away with murder.

I can't remember who said it. the was a rehash show a few years back and all
the things that were wrong at the OJ trial. one of them was chain of evidence,
also something about blood on the back gate, didn't they find that a day or so later. Not to mention that the jury didn't understand a damn thing they were
talking about. Plus Marsha Clarke did a rotten job.

Jesse was just interviewed by Matt Lauer on NBC Today

- Casey has now been identified by LE as an official suspect.  LE says that all evidence points to Caylee.  Baez says there's no difference between a person of interest and a suspect.
- Cindy has been pointing her finger at Jesse.  Cindy says that Jesse is her #1 suspect.
- Baez claims that LE is trying to intimidate Casey because they don't have enough criminal evidence to charge her.  She will not help LE because of what they are doing.
- Casey still claims that she left Caylee with ZG at Sawgrass.  ZG says that she did visit the apartments for 15 minutes one day.
- LE has been called to the Anthony neighborhood 300 times and 50 times to the Anthony home for this case.
- Jesse was Casey's ex-fiance in 2005-2006.  He says that they were 19 years old.  Casey was smart, fun, carried herself well, and had a sarcastic sense of humor.  By the end of their relationship, she was lying to him, she stole $250 from him, and she was seeing other people.
-When she called and told him that she was pregnant he had doubts because of the timing.  He did continue to support her and was present at the hospital when Caylee was born.  Jesse said that Casey was a good, devoted mother.  She was a loyal, doting, homebody.
-The paternity test that he took indicated that there is a 0% probability that he could be Casey's father.
- Jesse said that the Casey he knew would not have hurt Caylee.  His message to her now is to stop destroying people's lives because we are done with your lies.

I'm playing catch up from last night and had to vent on this one! And I'll try to say this without any negativity at all.
Replying to Casey's message...
 First of all you have no supporters!!! Besides Cindy,George 60%,lee, & Jose. Oh, and I forgot that lady thats connected to one of those missing kids site. People are only trying to befriend you so you can slip and tell them WHERES CAYLEE!!
Because everyone knows you cant keep your legs....I mean mouth shut!
Second, as far as the comment about someone being fake, maybe their trying to use your strategy on you, "by telling a lie". And see what info they can get from you regarding Caylee. Remember this is bout Caylee!! I cant express that enough!!
Third..... I ask.... What Friends? The ones you got involved in this mess. And your right....That will not be tolerated!!
Thats why all your friends are witnesses for the state!!
And yes I wish to vent and I don't have to go to numerous websites to do so, I choose my home  "SM" to do my blogging!!!

From that point on Casey will always be "escorted" to & from locations as simple as the shower. She will always be handcuffed, ankles shackled & wrists cuffed to an additional chain running across her waist (belly-cuff) to prevent her arms from being raised upward during these escorts. Casey will always be told what to do, when to do it & what she cannot do. Her decisions will always be made for her down to the simplest of tasks, etc. Being that Casey is 22y/o, she will have a very long prison life in a location far away from Hopespring Dr. making for very few visitation days.
This is so very true! I work in the womens area of a county jail and know the girls in jail would LOVE to get their hands around Casey's neck. In prison, there will be a few that have nothing to lose and would be happy to be the hero, and take her out.
There is no doubt she will be in solitary, or protective custody for many years.

That will be a first for her, somebody all the time telling her what to do! YES!!

Yeah but OJ had F Lee Baily and Johnny Cockran. That case was all about racism and the judge let the defense run the trial. Racial issues in LA at the time were tense.

Casey won't be so lucky. Instead she will receive the death penalty and get lethal injection which I understand is a painful way to die.

I followed that whole mockery way back when. I looked back and Nicole and Ron were murdered on June 12 and OJ was arrested on June 17. Yes, there was a great deal of evidence. Yes, I know in my heart he did it. But there were other factors totally unrelated to the actual crime that allowed that murderer to go free.

This case is different of course. I believe LE is taking its time and being thorough not twiddling their thumbs. And like the sheriff said ... if it is a homicide without a body, it's more difficult.

I am not sure she will receive the death penalty, however. But life in prison would suit me just fine.

Okay .. It's time for me to share this and I am really nervous about doing this. About 5 nights ago I awoke at 3:00 A.M and couldn't go back to sleep. I checked the Monkey site and there were a few posts. After that I wrote this.  First let me tell you, I am not a NUT! I am a Midwestern Grandmother of four. I have never done anything like this in my life.I follow this case because I feel I was drawned to this because of my grandkids and Caylee was born on the same day, August 9th as my mother.  I do not have any writing background and I am not real familiar with this case.  The Monkeys that are posting seem to be highly intelligent and specialist in a variety of the fields. As nutty as it sounds, somebody wants Casey to read this letter. I saw a note earlier today that casey may read the scared monkeys blog, so here goes. I hope Casey will read this   .......

Dear Mommy,

I don’t know what I did to you, why did you want me to go away.
I just did all the normal things a little girl would do and say.
I loved you all so very much and I can’t understand
Why you didn’t leave me with Grammie and Papa, you know they had a plan.

You gave me too much medicine and you could not get me awake.
I told you I didn’t like that stuff and you made me take it anyway.
Sometimes, I woke up in the car when you were gone too long
I was scared and hungry and I didn’t like being alone.

I know you’re so unhappy and you have some big problems, too.
It’s hard for me to understand why you always tell the lies you do.
