Coffee 'shrinks women's breasts'

Last Update: 10/23 12:26 pm
Scientists have discovered that drinking just three cups of coffee a day can make women's breasts shrink.

According to Swedish researchers who surveyed nearly 300 women, three cups a day was enough to start making breasts shrink, with the effects increasing for every cup drunk.

Experts say there is a clear link between drinking coffee and smaller breasts as around half of all women possess a gene that has been shown to link breast size to coffee intake.

"Drinking coffee can have a major effect on breast size. Coffee-drinking women do not have to worry their breasts will shrink to nothing overnight. They will get smaller, but the breasts aren't just going to disappear," says Helena Jernstroem, a lecturer in experimental oncology at Lund University in Sweden

Edited to add:  I wonder what I could drink that might shrink my derriere?

I think that may have happened to me. I love my coffee. Maybe while it was shrinking
the top it was all going to my bottom. LOL

Folks one of our new members need our help. Would you please check the Unsolved crimes forum? Guardian nurse.is the poster. Her daughter Brittany was killed. Maybe you all can figure out some more ideas for a fundraiser. Thanks. Sam

Monkeys....keep the faith in you and others you can get through this.   I asked my 94 1/2 mom how she got through WW!,the Depression, WW! et al....she said  "We didn't have television" Asked what she meant.."Don't have to see it over and over; it's bad for you (as an adult) and children.

Keep loving, talk things over with each other, take pictures, know there are those who have more than and less than you

You are here now at the stage in life and you know it wasn't always easy. Maybe the coming might be more humble times.... but you have it in you to know how to get back to where you are now and even better because you have done it before and can learn from all the good things that got you and learn from the mistakes then grow and go for whatever it will be in a few months. If you aren't healthy, then you can answer to door when opportunity knocks.

Your Mom is a very wise woman...and WOW she is 94 1/2 years young!  How fortunate you are to still have this wise woman still in your life!!  You are both very, very blessed!!

You monkeys are amazing...

Last night I admit I had a couple drinks and started thinking...

My husband and I have been through a lot of ups and downs and then I realized---

Even at our hardest moment ,losing his mother COMPLETELY UNEXPECTEDLY, she died of a triple brain Anyeurysm, My DH was only 24, he took it VERY HARD, that eventually something good came of it..

I hope that doesnt come off sounding wrong...

I just realized that no matter how hard the times are usually something blessed happens because of all the hardship we endured..Granted some times it took a while, but Good did happen...

I feel like I have found a new found optimism..Like Everything happens for a reason and eventually something wonderful becomes of all the downs that I went through..

I feel like Im babbling..But For once I am happy and not worried..Because I know that this will lead me to a place in the future that is wondeful and probably wouldnt happen if it were not for the rough times I went through..

Thanks for listening monkeys!!

I think you may be feeling the healing process.  And although it's sad when our loved ones go from us here on earth and we have to learn to live without them, there is some love and the good memories for us.  To be able to  see there will be good in the future keeps us from staying too long in the darkness, imo.

For the Halloween season coming up soon.

Tootsie Rolls were the first wrapped penny candy in America.

Chocolate candy bars top the list as the most popular candy for trick-or-treaters with Snickers #1.

Black cats were once believed to be witch's familiars who protected their powers.

Black cats have long been believed to be a supernatural omen since the witch hunts of the middle ages when cats were thought to be connected to evil. Since then, it is considered bad luck if a black cat crosses your path.

I received this today and thought it was worth posting here

The Sack Lunches

I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned seat.  It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm glad I have a good book to read.
Perhaps I will get a short nap,' I thought.

Just before take-off, a line of soldiers came down the aisle and filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding me.  I decided to start a conversation. 'Where are you headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to me.

' Chicago - to Great Lakes Base.  We'll be there for two weeks for special training, and then we're being deployed to Iraq.' After flying for about an hour, an announcement was made that sack lunches were available for five dollars.  It would be several hours before we reached Chicago , and I quickly decided a lunch would help pass the time.

As I reached for my wallet, I overheard a soldier ask his buddy if he planned to buy lunch.  'No, that seems like a lot of money for just a sack lunch.  Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks. I'll wait till we get to Chicago.
His friend agreed. I looked around at the other soldiers.  None were buying lunch.  I walked to the back of the plane and handed the flight attendant a fifty dollar bill.  'Take a lunch to all those soldiers.'  She grabbed my arms and squeezed tightly.  Her eyes wet with tears, she thanked me. ' My son was a soldier in Iraq ; it's almost like you are doing it for him.'

Picking up ten sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the soldiers were seated.  She stopped at my seat and asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or chicken?'

'Chicken,' I replied, wondering why she asked.  She turned and went to the front of plane, returning a minute later with a dinner plate from first class.
'This is your thanks.' After we finished eating, I went again to the back of the plane, heading for the rest room.  A man stopped me.  'I saw what you did.  I want to be part of it. Here, take this.' He handed me twenty-five dollars.

Soon after I returned to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming down the aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he walked, I hoped he was not looking for me, but noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my side of the plane.  When he got to my row he stopped, smiled, held out his hand, an said, 'I want to shake your hand.'

Quickly unfastening my seatbelt, I stood and took the Captain's hand. With a booming voice he said, 'I was a soldier and I was a military pilot.  Once, someone bought me a lunch.  It was an act of kindness I never forgot.'  I was embarrassed when applause was heard from all of the passengers.

Later I walked to the front of the plane so I could stretch my legs.  A man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine.  He left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.

When we landed in Chicago I gathered my belongings and started to deplane.  Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man who stopped me, put something in my shirt pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a word.  Another twenty-five dollars!

Soon entering the terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their trip to the base.  I walked over to them and handed them seventy-five dollars.  'It will take you some time to reach the base.  It will be about time for a sandwich. God Bless You.'

Ten young men left that flight feeling the love and respect of their fellow
travelers.  As I walked briskly to my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe return. These soldiers were giving their all for our country.  I could only give them a couple of meals.  It seemed so little...

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check Made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'
