Hey, just looking at the latest 71 page interactive pdf map on www.aruba.com and found that just a little north of Saveneta, where Lorenzo's house should be, there is an area near the airport called 'Simeon Antonio'...fwiw

Here is the location of this map, if you are interested.

Sorry, but I didn't get much out of the security guards' statement other than he worked 16 hours straight.  Seems like he was describing a drug deal and some naked swimming.  I noticed one of the names he mentioned was Ramirez.  What did I miss?

"On your question if I was approached on Monday, May 30, 2005, in the night time hours, by a couple who were also staying in the Holiday Inn Hotel, with a story about two men and a drunk girl were on the sand north of the hotel stumbling or falling, answer I you no. Nobody approached me with this story.

The couple must specifically say who they had reported this to. You must ask this also of the other guards. I did not hear it from the other guards either. "

Thanks 2NJ - Wonder if Simeon lived there and chose his name from that?

Looking at the other interactive maps, Hooiberg is not far from this area...my perspective...It did make me wonder...now is there a Shango area somewhere... Wink   I'm with ya, Lala's just relaying observations, here.  Wink

Thanks, I've looked at it before but never noticed the name of the city.  Thanks for pointing that out!:

I doubt this "couple" exists because if two people felt so bothered by 2 men and a drunk girl and reported it to a security guard  prior to Natalee's disappearance being reported, what happened to them after her case became a huge news story?  It sounds as if it was a made up  story to test this man.

Very possible.  I just found it an odd question to be asking him on July 8, 2005.  The HI drop off story was already gone at that point.

Just because there is a city in Aruba with the name of Simeon and we were thinking maybe Simeon/Shango picked his name because he lives there?

This idea has been on my mind for a long time but I have always hesitated in posting it but I will now:
This is how my mind works.
The VdS's had a delivery from Dana (Furniture) in June 2005.  First, it was reported that it was dog food and poo-pood as being a trivial matter. Then the story became that it was a bookcase because Paul was working from the house and needed more shelf space.  Since most people with a home office have some sort of shelving, it sounded as if Paul was adding an additional bookcase and then I saw an ad for Dana Furniture and noticed that their bookcases are the kind you put together like a box then add the movable shelves.  Not an expensive piece but functional.
After taking into consideration many things and not wanting to get into explicit details - could Paul have needed to replace a bookcase that had been removed from the house after May 29th?

Why would it need replacing?  How does a book shelf fit in?  I should get it but I'm not.

Leslie - try to give me more detail as to what you are thinking.  I'll delete it if it's too explicit.

If you needed to move a dead body would laying a bookcase down and removing the shelves work?

Yes, you could even build a makeshift coffin.  So you are saying they could move a body without it being seen.  Would just look like a box.
